I can't say enough about my truck.  I am the original owner of this beautiful 2008 Toyota Tundra Crewmax Limited.  To say this truck has been babied is an understatement.  It has had the best treatment, with oil changes religously at every 5000 miles, waxed at least two times a year, seat covers on the leather seats from the beginning, transmission oil flushed, new brakes and rotors, and I just recently put new tires on it (less than 600 miles).  The tires are one size larger than the stock size and on 20" OEM wheels...it is a real head turner.  I have a Leer toper on it, painted to match.

This truck has spent only a few nights outside of the garage.  When it gets driven, it is washed and stored back in the garage immediately upon returning home.  I know this sounds a little hard to believe but it is true.  I have babied this truck from day one!

It is totally  loaded. To the best of my knowledge, it has every option made by Toyota at the time of my purchase.

  • It has what was called "Red Rock" leather interior....which kind of looks like football leather.  I have never seen any other truck with this type of beautiful leather.
  • 20" Alloy Wheels
  • Rear DVD Entertainment System with wireless headphones
  • 115 Volt AC electrical outlet
  • Running boards
  • DVD Navigation System
  • Back up camera
  • Daytime running lights
  • Power tilt and sliding moonroof
  • All weather mats
  • JBL am/fm stereo with 4 disc changer
  • Power vertically sliding rear window
  • Heated seats (driver and passenger)
  • Chrome grille, door handles, and mirrors
  • Tailgate assist (open and close with one finger practically)
  • Power steering wheel (moves in and out, up and down with the push of a button)
  • Dual zone climate control
  • Front and rear sonar
  • 6 speed automatic transmission with option to shift it to manual
  • Electronic four wheel drive
  • Limited slip differential
  • Cruise control
  • Steering wheel Audio controls
  • Bluetooth
  • Power windows
  • Power locks
  • Power memory seats with mirror and steering wheel memory
  • Remote entry
  • Tow package (transmission cooler, Transmission temp guage, tow/haul button, hitch, pre-wired for trailer brake control)
  • Brake assist
  • 60/40 rear bench that reclines, with folding center armrest with cupholders
  • Traction control

I am probably leaving out more info about this magnificient truck.  It is a beautiful truck and I get compliments about it frequently.  It has never been in a single accident of any type....no paint work, no scratches or damage.  There are some rock chips on the front but not much.  The only issue that I am aware of with this truck is that the memory seats are not working.  It could be a simple fuse....I am the only driver so I never worried about it.

Please contact me with any questions you may have.  I have tried to list all of the great apsects of this truck but I can't really do it justice.  You are welcome to come by and inspect it and drive it, before the auction ends.  The ONLY reason I am selling this truck is that since I got married all of our family can't ride in one single vehicle.  So, I had to buy a 7 passenger vehicle.  I have never planned on selling it, as I consider it a member of the family.  But, something has to go.

$500 due at the end of the auction and the remainder due upon pickup.  Cash will get you the title and truck immediatly upon delivery.  Other than that my bank must clear the cashiers check prior to the title being released.  Bid with confidence, but if you are the high bidder then you purchased this truck.  No games.

Despite slow sales, no new Scion models in near-term pipeline [w/poll]

Mon, 09 Sep 2013

According to a top Toyota executive, the Japanese automaker will not be introducing any fresh Scion models in the near future, Reuters reports. As of August, Scion sales for this year were down 1.6 percent from 2012 and accounted for only 0.3 percent of Toyota's overall US sales. And last month, Toyota Motor Sales USA Senior Vice President Bob Carter informed the 1,000 dealers who carry Scion that they can drop the brand without penalty.
However, never fear - Carter has assured that, while nothing new is coming for at least six months, the company is still very committed to the quirky Scion brand. Toyota launched Scion, which targets the youth market, in 2003, and sales peaked in 2006. The brand currently has five models, with the 2013 best-sellers being the FR-S sports coupe followed by the tC sedan and xB hatchback.
What do you think about Toyota's decision to hold off on introducing new or refreshed Scion models? Are they heading in the right direction, or does this spell doom for the funky Gen Y brand?

Does Scion's LA concept presage a US Auris?

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

When the doors open at the LA Auto Show in a few weeks, Scion will be on hand to showcase its new iM Concept. But considering what little Toyota's youthful brand has revealed about the concept so far, it's led to rampant speculation. And the prevailing wisdom seems to point towards a production iM arriving as a Scion-badged version of the Toyota Auris.
For those unfamiliar, the Auris is to European (and other) markets essentially what the Matrix is (was?) to ours: a hatchback version of the Corolla. The model line was first introduced in 2006, looking in its first iteration like an overgrown version of the contemporary second-gen Yaris, and was replaced with the current model in 2012. It's available as a five-door hatch or wagon, with a range of gasoline, diesel and hybrid powertrains available.
If the rumors - spurred by the similarity of the iM concept's nose depicted in the teasers - prove accurate, and public reception to the idea ends up spurring Toyota to put it into action, it wouldn't be the first overseas Toyota brought over as a Scion. The Scion iQ was sold as the Toyota iQ overseas years before it arrived here.

MotorWeek remembers retro icons, Supra and NSX

Thu, 16 Oct 2014

It's easy to poke a joke here and there about John Davis, the long-time host of MotorWeek. His voice is so monotonous that, from time to time, if you closed your eyes, you may think it's generated via a computer. But you have to give him and the rest of the show a lot of credit. The program has been on the air for decades, giving people direct, straight-down-the middle automotive reviews.
MotorWeek's massive back catalog of reviews are slowly making their way onto YouTube, and they provide a fascinating chance to look back on how performance cars rank against their contemporaries from back in the day. Two recent additions include the show's old looks at the 1986 Toyota Supra, the dawn of the third-generation model, and the now-iconic 1991 Acura NSX.
Both reviews are interesting in their own way. These days you hear nary a negative word about the original NSX, but MotorWeek isn't afraid to point out a few flaws. And the Supra really shows the progress of suspension tuning in the intervening decades because it has some serious body roll in the corners. Scroll down to check out both videos and get a blast from the automotive past.
