I have owned this truck a little over 3 years.
This truck is totally awesome ! cl ad in DFW is for 12,000 cash. if not for having 173k miles the trucks price would be 4 grand higher. You will be amazed at the condition of this truck. Runs & Drives like new. Truck needs nothing to hit the road for work or play. Clear Tx title in my name. Title will be transferred into buyers name at the time of sale. Tundra SR5 Texas Edition 5.7 motor automatic with optional manual mode for hauling or engine braking on hills / mountains. This truck was purchased by a friend new, he was in sales & drove it from Dallas to Houston at 2 to 3 times per week. That is where most all of the miles comes from. He used fully synthetic oil after the break in period, i have used fully synthetic castoroil 5w 20. Truck was inspected 2 days ago & detail cleaned today. Looks & Drives so awesome it makes me not want to sell it, it is a great truck. We have 2 company vehicles now and 2 play vehicles so the tundra has not been used much. in fact in the 3 years we have only put about 5k per year on the truck. Truck has never been wrecked and it has been maintained extremely well. Clear blue Texas title in hand. We have never pulled more than a riding mower with this truck but it has a full towing package & can pull just about anything the motor is super strong. Automakers donating money, vehicles and supplies to Oklahoma tornado relief effort
Fri, 24 May 2013Judging by the destruction the Oklahoma City area experienced earlier this week, residents are going to need a lot of help in coming months. Fortunately, a number of automakers - including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota - have stepped up to donate money, supplies and vehicles to aid in the recovery and rebuilding processes.
Here's a quick rundown of which automakers have pitched in and what each contributed so far:
Ford Motor Company has donating $250,000 and a Transit Connect to the American Red Cross, and it will match all other donations made to the Red Cross (up to $250,000) using a special URL tied to the latter's website (link here). Additionally, its local Oklahoma dealers have thrown in an extra $150,000 for the United Way and the automaker will be offering an extra $500 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.
Toyota to shock with Supra concept for Detroit Auto Show?
Fri, 06 Dec 2013We've written about approximately 187,000 rumors about a return of the Toyota Supra to the land of living cars. There are a couple of good reasons for this: first, Toyota won't stop dropping hints about a new halo sports car. Late this summer, Toyota sales guru Kazuo Ohara called a Supra successor "one of the options we have" - a comment followed by a hint that there would be "better news" on the subject in the future.
The second reason for all the Toyota tales is, of course, that we all have missed the Supra since its departure from the US market in 1998. So, when a member of the Autoblog team is party to a nudge-and-wink-filled conversation about a new Supra concept headed to January's Detroit Auto Show, we tend to listen up.
A 400+ horsepower hybrid sports car would match up pretty well with the upcoming NSX.
Toyota responds to video of Highlander ramming house [w/video]
Thu, 18 Apr 2013There are, as they say, two sides to every story, so after we posted a video on Monday showing what an owner claimed to be a case of unintended acceleration causing her Toyota Highlander to crash into a house twice, Toyota reached out to us revealing some additional information about the incident.
Following this crash, which took place back in November, Toyota had this Highlander inspected and pulled data from its Event Data Recorder (EDR), or Black Box as we've come to call it. Not only was this the first time we've seen a claim of unintended acceleration like this caught on video, but now, also a first, we have actual data showing what the vehicle itself recorded during this frightening ordeal.
Brian Lyons, Toyota Communications Manager for Safety and Quality, first gave us some information about the Highlander in question, including the fact that it was a 2012 model. The 2012 Highlander came from the factory with a brake override system, meaning it was not part of the company's initiative in 2010 to add the system to all 2011 models. Also, after looking at the data from the EDR, he said - as many of you pointed out in the comments for the previous post - that the "brake pedal was never touched." In the video, you can see that the crossover's brake lights never come on, and the EDR's data backs this up.
