This is for my *RARE* 2008 Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab TRD OFF ROAD RUGGED TRAIL package 4x2 pickup. It has 71k miles, mainly highway. It has been babied it's entire life - garage kept, dealer oil change every 3k miles, detailed constantly, and always getting the best treatment from the dealer because I have a friend that works there. It has never received any body work other than in 2009 - a lady bumped me at a red light and her insurance company replaced the bumper with a factory bumper. The exterior is in very good condition. It only has 2 very small (about the size of a quarter) scuffs and one small ding on the bumper (all pictured). The interior is also is in wonderful condition - I don't have any kids and rarely any passengers so it has stayed almost perfect. The Kelley Blue Book "Very Good" value of my truck is $19,479 (will send a copy upon request) and that doesn't consider the hood scoop and a few other features my truck has.
It has the following non-standard features:
- Black Running Boards
- Hood Scoop
- Clear Headlights
- Pioneer TouchScreen NAV/DVD/CD/AM/FM/MP3/Bluetooth System (The Nav feature stopped working but everything else works perfectly)
- Nitro Fill Tires
- Smoked Fog Lights and Tail Lights
- HID Kit installed for both the Head Lights and Fog Lights
It has the following standard features:
- V6, 4.0L Engine
- Off Road Package
- Rugged Trail Package
- Keyless Entry
- Sliding Rear Window
- Cruise Control
- Side Curtain Airbags
- Daytime Running Lights
- Tow Package

Eiji Toyoda dead at 100
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Toyota has had number of chiefs over its 76-year history, but none ever served as long as Eiji Toyoda. The younger cousin of the company's founder served as president of the automaker from 1967 to 1982 and as chairman of the Toyota Motor Corporation for another ten years following the unification of the manufacturing and sales divisions.
During his 25 years at the helm, Eiji Toyoda (pictured above in 1967) was credited with establishing the company's headquarters in Toyota City, spearheading the development of the Prius, expanding production overseas for the first time, launching the Lexus brand and turning Toyota from a minor player into one of the largest automakers in the world.
Even after his retirement in 1992, he remained an honorary chairman and close advisor to his successors, and chaired the company's museum. He died of heart failure, ending a 100-year life that started on September 12, 1913, before the company that bore his family's name (albeit slightly modified) had even started building automatic looms, let alone automobiles. We extend our condolences to the Toyoda family and our congratulations on an accomplished life.
Toyota CamRally is vanilla spiced
Tue, 05 Nov 2013We weren't quite sure it was possible, but NASCAR driver Parker Kligerman and the other folks behind this Toyota Dream Build Challenge vehicle (check out the other cars in the challenge) have made the Camry, a versatile but vanilla family sedan, into a performance car to be reckoned with. And by stripping it (literally) of its versatility and injecting some spice into it, this rally-spec Camry does indeed appeal to the enthusiast crowd.
The appeal starts with the CamRally's vintage Toyota racing colors of red, orange and yellow painted on a widened body. Those wide fender flares and rocker panels, paired with the revised front and rear fascias (and massive rear spoiler), lend the car an aggressive look without being tacky, and enhance the aerodynamics. But peel back the skin and you'll find plenty of performance upgrades to back up the looks.
While Toyota doesn't say how much horsepower it makes, the CamRally's V6 is turbocharged, and we assume the car's brake upgrade is indicative of the engine's increased output. The stripped interior only contains what's needed for rally racing, including bucket seats, a motorsport steering wheel covered in Alcantara, a carbon-fiber dashboard and a roll cage.
