TacomaHQ is proud to offer another very clean, fully loaded, and great looking 2007 Toyota Tacoma for a NO Reserve Auction.  This truck has only had 1 owner since brand new in 2007.  It was just traded into a Chevy dealership on a new truck.  It has both clean Carfax and AutoCheck vehicle history reports, and was never smoked in.  This will be sold to the highest bidder!

The exterior is in excellent condition.  The original "Super White" paint shines great.  There isn't any rust at all on this Tacoma.  The undercarriage and rear end are absolutely mint.  There are NO leaks of any kind underneath.  The entire body is very nice, with the exception of the three pictured flaws.  The passenger bedside has a dent above the taillight, the tailgate has a small ding, and the drivers rear fender flare has a couple small scratches.  Overall the truck looks mint.

The interior is also in excellent shape.  The carpets, seats, dashboard, headliner, and glass are all free of any wear or tear.  There aren't any smoke smells, burns, or marks inside.  There is also an unused cigarette lighter included.  All of the electronics are functioning properly.

This Tacoma has many features and options!

- 4.0L V6 Engine

- Automatic Transmission

- Push-Button 4-Wheel-Drive

- TRD Off-Road Package w/Rear Differential Locker

- Ice Cold Air Conditioning

- SR5 Package

- Power Windows, Locks, and Mirrors

- CD Player

- Keyless Entry

- Cruise Control

- Tilt Steering

- Dual Airbags

- Alloy Wheels

- ABS Brakes

- Steering Wheel Mounted Radio Controls

- Sliding Rear Window

This Tacoma runs and drives perfect as you would expect.  Everything works as it should.  The 4.0L 6-Cylinder engine starts instantly with no smoke and runs great.  The transmission shifts nice and smooth, and the 4-wheel-drive and low range work exactly as they should.  The truck goes straight down the road with no shakes, rattles, or pulls.  The brakes stop great with no pulsations as well.  The 4 Matching Michelin LTX AT2 tires are all wearing evenly and have around 75-80% tread depth remaining.

I have 3 Keys, 1 Remote, the full owners manual set w/case, clean CarFax report, the full size spare tire, jack, tools, and a clean/clear title.

Asian automakers still reluctant to use more aluminum

Tue, Jun 24 2014

There's a logical progression of technology in the auto industry. We've seen it with things like carbon-ceramic brakes, which use to be the sole domain of six-figure sports cars, where they often cost as much as an entry level Toyota Corolla. Now, you can get them on a BMW M3 (they're still pricey, at $8,150). Who knows, maybe in the next four a five years, they'll be available on something like a muscle car or hot hatchback. Aluminum has had a similar progression, although it's further along, moving from the realm of Audi and Jaguar luxury sedans to Ford's most important product, the F-150. With the stuff set to arrive in such a big way on the market, we should logically expect an all-aluminum Toyota Camry or Honda Accord soon, right? Um, wrong. Reuters has a great report on what's keeping Asian manufacturers away from aluminum, and it demonstrates yet another stark philosophical difference between automakers in the east and those in the west. Of course, there's a pricing argument at play. But it's more than just the cost of aluminum sheet (shown above) versus steel. Manufacturing an aluminum car requires extensive retooling of existing factories, not to mention new relationships with suppliers and other logistical and financial nightmares. Factor that in with what Reuters calls Asian automaker's preference towards "evolutionary upgrades," and the case for an all-aluminum Accord is a difficult one. Instead, manufacturers in the east are focusing on developing even stronger steel as a means of trimming fat, although analysts question how long that practice can continue. Jeff Wang, the automotive sales director for aluminum supplier Novelis, predicts that we'll see a bump in aluminum usage from Japanese and Korean brands in the next two to three years, and that it will be driven by an influx of aluminum-based vehicles from western automakers into China. Only time will tell if he's proven right. News Source: ReutersImage Credit: Sean Gallup / Getty Images Plants/Manufacturing Honda Hyundai Mazda Nissan Toyota Technology aluminum

Toyota, Kaley Cuoco grant wishes in Super Bowl XLVII ad

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

For viewers who plan on watching the Super Bowl only for the commercials, here's one for you to enjoy ahead of time. As we saw in the teaser video that Toyota released last week, will be making the transition from Big Bang to The Big Game as a wish-granting genie in a commercial for the 2013 Toyota RAV4.
Though not as entertaining as the actual teaser for this commercial, it still garnered a couple chuckles from the Autoblog crew. We won't spoil it for you, but a word of advice: if Cuoco ever shows up in your driveway granting you wishes, we'd suggest you be very clear what you want... and enunciate.
If you want to see the commercial before this Sunday's game, we have the video (and an accompanying press release) posted after the jump.

Eiji Toyoda dead at 100

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

Toyota has had number of chiefs over its 76-year history, but none ever served as long as Eiji Toyoda. The younger cousin of the company's founder served as president of the automaker from 1967 to 1982 and as chairman of the Toyota Motor Corporation for another ten years following the unification of the manufacturing and sales divisions.
During his 25 years at the helm, Eiji Toyoda (pictured above in 1967) was credited with establishing the company's headquarters in Toyota City, spearheading the development of the Prius, expanding production overseas for the first time, launching the Lexus brand and turning Toyota from a minor player into one of the largest automakers in the world.
Even after his retirement in 1992, he remained an honorary chairman and close advisor to his successors, and chaired the company's museum. He died of heart failure, ending a 100-year life that started on September 12, 1913, before the company that bore his family's name (albeit slightly modified) had even started building automatic looms, let alone automobiles. We extend our condolences to the Toyoda family and our congratulations on an accomplished life.
