I am pleased to offer this 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Extended cab, 2.7L 4 cylinder, 5 speed manual, that has engine damage (starts, runs, drives- but is has a thrown rod) so the engine needs to be rebuilt or replaced. It can run and be loaded onto a truck, but I wouldn't drive it down the road.

It doesn't leak any fluids and is great exterior and interior condition. The A/C, stereo, all functions work great, tires are in good/fair condition.

I thought this truck had also received the new frame in the Toyota recall (the frame recall changed the title to a "rebuild"), but that will need to be verified by the Toyota dealer. It looks like it had a rear accident also. However, with a new or rebuilt motor this will be an excellent condition (inside and out)Tacoma.

This is the perfect project vehicle and will make a good investment.

I live in a different state with the intention of driving it home, but I don't have the resources for this type of engine project, so it's time to sell.

Please take a look at the pictures for more details and don't pass up the opportunity. I can try and answer all questions, but it has been driven very little in it's current state.

This vehicle is located in St.Petersburg, FL, and I can arrange shipping anywhere in the world! I have shipped vehicles to places like Bolivia.

All shipping cost will be the responsibility of the buyer.

You can always use Uship.com for shipping.

This vehicle is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty of any kind. I am a private owner and have the title with the vehicle.

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT ALL THE PICTURES THAT ARE PROVIDED. DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU PLAN TO PAY so we can save everyone time - thanks.
The Truck is in great overall condition, besides the engine and it will be the responsibility of the buyer to arrange removal of the vehicle.
It is up to you on how you would repair the engine.

If you need an extensive amount of information, PLEASE SEND AN INSPECTOR OR COME INSPECT THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO PURCHASE.

2014 Toyota Corolla to bow before LA

Sat, 30 Mar 2013

We've sort of been wondering when Toyota would finally debut the next-generation Corolla sedan, especially since the current car is getting very, very long in the tooth. We got a glimpse of the new compact's design at this year's Detroit Auto Show in the form of the Furia concept seen above, but we figured we'd see the production car by now.
According to Edmunds, Toyota will be unveiling the new Corolla sometime soon, and it won't wait until the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Officials from the Japanese automaker did not state a specific location or date for the new car's unveiling, but said that the 2014 Corolla is expected to be on sale before the LA expo later this year and that it will be revealed "somewhere in the US."
Toyota did not divulge any details about the new Corolla, and we're willing to bet that the aggressive lines of the Furia concept will be dulled down quite a bit for the production model. Still, news that the new car is coming sooner rather than later is indeed a good thing.

We drive the cars of Furious 7... in Forza Horizon 2 [w/video]

Thu, Apr 9 2015

On March 27, Turn 10 Studios, the folks behind the Forza Motorsport series, and Universal Pictures, the studio responsible for the Fast and Furious franchise, gave us a match made in heaven, announcing a "standalone expansion" featuring the two franchises. Called Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious, it features the cars from the latest film installment, unique missions and the voice-acting of Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, who plays tech guru Tej Parker on camera. A Fast and Furious video game? Seems like a no brainer. It gets better. Rather than limiting the Fast and Furious Edition cars to the expansion game, Turn 10 made them available through one of their (some may say notorious) downloadable content packages. Eight of the expansion's 11 cars were made available for just $4.99 (the only cars that weren't included were the Fast and Furious Edition Nissan GT-R, while the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport and McLaren P1 are already available in-game). What's cool ais that the cars featured in both games are visually identical to the vehicles driven by the stars of Furious 7. Each in-game car has an on-screen parallel that plays a role in advancing the film's story. Considering that we're unlikely to score seat time in Dominic Toretto's real Dodge Charger, then, we figured we'd take to the game and test the car in the digital realm. We've got nine little cluster reviews, covering the cars both in the game and how they appear in the movies. And don't worry, there are no major spoilers here. Click on for the cars of Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious. 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Fast and Furious Edition Supercharged 7.2L V8 / 900 HP / 663 LB-FT The one vehicle that is mandatory in a Fast and Furious video game, Dom's hot-rodded 1970 Dodge Charger, is as much a character in the films as its driver. Furious 7 marks the fourth appearance of this Mopar beast in the series. Not surprisingly it's a handful to drive, wildly quick and with a four-speed transmission packed full of very tall gears. But beyond that, it's arguably the coolest of the FF Edition cars. This black beauty is exactly as it appears in the latest installment of the film, with the video game version featuring intricate little details, like the moving parts on the BDS supercharger. It's an iconic car, and it's treated as such in the game.

Camatte concept puts the Toy back in Toyota [w/videos]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

It's been two years since Toyota first revealed its Camatte show car at the Tokyo Toy Show. Though sadly never destined for production, Toyota brought the concept back the following year as the Camatte 57s roadster, and is now returning to the same show with yet another take on the kid-friendly, configurable 1+2 with interchangeable body panels - this time with a slew of features that are fresh not only to the concept itself, but to the industry altogether.
This year the Camatte is being showcased in two forms: a bare chassis in the Tech Lab that lets kids see the inner workings of a modern automobile, and another in the Design Lab that lets kids draw their own motif for the concept that is then displayed on an LED hood.
The overall approach reminds us of the way Toyota's budget brand Daihatsu unveiled the Kopen roadster concept at the Tokyo Motor Show late last year, only even more kid-focused and decidedly more light-hearted than you might otherwise expect from one of the largest industrial giants in the world, and could only have been made for a toy exposition. In Japan. Which would explain the ridiculously upbeat videos below, where you'll also find the brief press release.
