If you like the 1997 Toyota Tacoma body style, this is the truck for you. This truck has a certified good frame from Toyota (I have the cert). There was a frame recall back in 2012 and most of the 1997's were bought back by Toyota. Also, truck just received a new head gasket due to internal coolant leak. It was not a total gasket blow-out that created a lot of excess heat. It was replaced as to not cause any issues during the sale. Truck is in excellent condition. No dents or scratches. Paint is original and in great condition. No accidents - body is in great condition. Interior is in great shape - no smoking vehicle. I am the third owner and the truck spent most of it's life in Alabama and was sold to a guy in Penn. He then sold it to me. Truck has a bedliner and a towing receiver, but as far as I know, it was never used for heavy towing (or no towing at all). I drive the truck everyday and it has not let me down. The reason I am selling is that I changed jobs and I need a more economical vehicle. Windshield recently replaced and the rest of the glass is in excellent condition. Everything works and air blows cold in the summer. Truck is for sale locally, so I may end the auctgion early if it sells. Truck is all stock except for the stereo which is a panasonic AM/FM/CD/MP3. This is a rust free truck - I repeat, this truck does not have rust nor any signs of rust. I have searched and this is one of the nicest 1997 Tacoma's for sale today. Subaru Viziv 2 presages Tribeca replacement with diesel hybrid tech

Subaru is in the middle of a new product bonanza. It has recent replacements for the Impreza and Forester at dealers, and soon we're getting the WRX, Legacy and if rumors are right the new Outback as well. Now, there are rumblings that there could be two more models from the Japanese brand on the way with styling inspired by the Viziv 2 concept from the Geneva Motor Show.
According to a company insider speaking with Motor Trend, the crossover concept shows the way for the brand's future design language. The shape would be used on a smaller CUV that is still being kept quite secret, and a second, larger one that would replace the recently axed Tribeca. The bigger model is the first priority and is planned as a new technology showcase.
It's rumored to use a turbodiesel, four-cylinder boxer engine that would be boosted with one electric motor on the front axle and two at the rear, with a plug-in hybrid system sourced from Toyota. It should provide a great mix of torque and fuel economy. A smaller flat-six engine would be a second powertrain option. Though the Viziv 2 concept only seats four, the production version would probably offer three rows.

PickupTrucks.com has taken another look at the sales of its favorite vehicle bodystyle as part of an ongoing series. According to registration data from R.L. Polk, the Toyota Tacoma easily took the crown as America's best-selling mid-sized pickup, with 133,477 units rolling into new homes in 2012. For comparison, the second-place Nissan Frontier only saw 50,566 registrations.
We feel compelled to point out that before Ford pulled the plug on its ancient Ranger, the company was moving some 75,000 units per year. That number had shriveled to 15,662 by 2012, which was still enough to surpass the Honda Ridgeline. Interestingly enough, one person brought home a brand-new Hummer H3T as well. But mid-sized trucks represent only a fraction of total pickup sales. Dealers sold a total of 241,471 midsizers last year compared to 988,326 half-tons.
That segment was dominated by General Motors with 533,814 sales followed by Ford at 478,204. Ram Trucks trailed behind in third with 241,204 units with Toyota close behind at 229,769.
