If you like the 1997 Toyota Tacoma body style, this is the truck for you. This truck has a certified good frame from Toyota (I have the cert). There was a frame recall back in 2012 and most of the 1997's were bought back by Toyota. Also, truck just received a new head gasket due to internal coolant leak. It was not a total gasket blow-out that created a lot of excess heat. It was replaced as to not cause any issues during the sale. Truck is in excellent condition. No dents or scratches. Paint is original and in great condition. No accidents - body is in great condition. Interior is in great shape - no smoking vehicle. I am the third owner and the truck spent most of it's life in Alabama and was sold to a guy in Penn. He then sold it to me. Truck has a bedliner and a towing receiver, but as far as I know, it was never used for heavy towing (or no towing at all). I drive the truck everyday and it has not let me down. The reason I am selling is that I changed jobs and I need a more economical vehicle. Windshield recently replaced and the rest of the glass is in excellent condition. Everything works and air blows cold in the summer. Truck is for sale locally, so I may end the auctgion early if it sells. Truck is all stock except for the stereo which is a panasonic AM/FM/CD/MP3. This is a rust free truck - I repeat, this truck does not have rust nor any signs of rust. I have searched and this is one of the nicest 1997 Tacoma's for sale today. Almost all of the details about the Toyota New Group Architecture (TNGA) strategy have come out since the initiative was first reported on in March of this year, but Autoblog did learn a few new things about it on a recent trip to Japan. Probably the second-most important detail is that each new segment platform will be based around a common hip point to create an "optimal driving position architecture."
