If you like the 1997 Toyota Tacoma body style, this is the truck for you. This truck has a certified good frame from Toyota (I have the cert). There was a frame recall back in 2012 and most of the 1997's were bought back by Toyota. Also, truck just received a new head gasket due to internal coolant leak. It was not a total gasket blow-out that created a lot of excess heat. It was replaced as to not cause any issues during the sale. Truck is in excellent condition. No dents or scratches. Paint is original and in great condition. No accidents - body is in great condition. Interior is in great shape - no smoking vehicle. I am the third owner and the truck spent most of it's life in Alabama and was sold to a guy in Penn. He then sold it to me. Truck has a bedliner and a towing receiver, but as far as I know, it was never used for heavy towing (or no towing at all). I drive the truck everyday and it has not let me down. The reason I am selling is that I changed jobs and I need a more economical vehicle. Windshield recently replaced and the rest of the glass is in excellent condition. Everything works and air blows cold in the summer. Truck is for sale locally, so I may end the auctgion early if it sells. Truck is all stock except for the stereo which is a panasonic AM/FM/CD/MP3. This is a rust free truck - I repeat, this truck does not have rust nor any signs of rust. I have searched and this is one of the nicest 1997 Tacoma's for sale today. Toyota recalling 342k Tacomas due to faulty seatbelt pretensioners

Toyota is voluntarily recalling 342,000 Tacoma Access Cab pickups, produced between 2004 and 2011. The wide-ranging recall is due to faults in the screws that attach the belt pre-tensioner to the belt retractor. There are concerns that the screws can loosen themselves over time, especially if the access door is opened and closed with too much force. It's important to note that the recall only covers the driver and front passenger seat, and is limited to just the Access Cab trucks. Other body styles aren't affected.
If the screws come loose, the pre-tensioner and retractor spring could separate from the belt entirely, which would be bad news in a crash. There's no mention of injuries or accidents due to the faulty pre-tensioners. Owners affected by the recall will be notified soon, and asked to come in for recall service.
