I bought this Toyota almost seven years ago and I must say it's been the best vehicle I have ever owned. In seven years the only thing I have done is put a clutch in it which was last year a battery,brakes and new belts. The truck has just reached 200 thousand miles and the only reason I am selling it is that we inherited a 96 model with low miles. We can't afford to keep both or I would. I can almost guarantee you this is one of the cleanest 95 models out there. I know the truck was bought new in Texas and I bought from a gentleman in Chattanooga back in 07. I added a Pioneer cd/navigation system upgraded the speakers,spray in bed liner and a tool box. The truck need some new tires and there are some minor scratches on the truck nothing major but it is 20 years old. THERE is ABSOULTLY NO RUST on this truck and I would not be surprised if it went another 200 thousand miles. If you are interested please call me at 706-386-7749. Also I almost forgot the first owner added some kind of leaf spring in case you wanted to haul something heavy I assume which I was told cost about a grand.

Report: Daihatsu leaving European market
Sun, 16 Jan 2011More than any other, two carmaking giants sit at the top of the industry: Toyota and General Motors. But while GM sells under a (shrinking but still) expansive range of brands, the Toyota Motor Corporation sells most of its vehicles under its own name. That doesn't mean that Toyota, however, doesn't have its own portfolio of subsidiaries. Here in the United States we have the youth-oriented Scion division, while Lexus handles its upscale offerings, and overseas there's Daihatsu.
The budget brand offers a range of small cars under its own name; most are hatchbacks, but there's also the Copen roadster and even a rebadged Camry called the Altis. You may have come across some of their offerings while traveling overseas, particularly in Europe, but that last part is about to come to an end, according to reports.
Word from across the pond is that Toyota plans to withdraw Daihatsu from the European market altogether. The move would reportedly take effect in 2013, and if it comes to pass, would follow similar withdrawals from the North American (1992) and Australian (2006) markets. Thanks for the tip, William!
Toyota Tundra ditches V6 for 2015
Fri, 12 Sep 2014The Toyota Tundra debuted in new-ish form for the 2014 model year, but as we head into 2015, the truck boasts a couple of small updates. Most notably, the base V6 engine has been discontinued. On top of that, there's the new TRD Pro model on offer for 2015, which we've told you about before.
Why kill the V6? Simple - it was very low-volume. "The Tundra V6 take rate was significantly less than five percent," a Toyota spokesperson confirmed via email to Autoblog. So for 2015, the two V8 engine options remain - a 4.6-liter unit with 310 horsepower and 327 pound-feet of torque, or the more powerful 5.7-liter powerplant with 381 hp and 401 lb-ft. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive is standard. Four-wheel drive, of course, is available with either engine.
The only other noteworthy changes for 2015 include an optional integrated trailer brake for the 5.7-liter models, a new rear under-seat tray storage system for Double Cab trucks, and a spray-in bed-liner. Scroll down for the official press blast.
