1994 Toyota Supra Turbo on 2040-cars
Kingsport, Tennessee, United States
Due to recently obtaining both a new son and new home, I have decided to sale one of my Supra's. If you want to own one of the more recognized Supra's in the country, look no further. This car is simply, the Best of the Best!! 1994 Toyota Supra Turbo 73,813 original miles Car is an original 6 speed, Renaissance Red, factory twin turbo car. Carfax is clean, no issues or reports what so ever…..not even a report of any kind of damage.
Do not quote these numbers......from what I recall: (numbers can be verified from dyno sheets) Car was detuned down from over 1,104 rwhp (6 speed and bigger turbo) to make it more streetable with the 67mm and 4l80e transmission set-up. I want to say that the car now makes something like: (I will attempt to get back on here and update this as I attempt to obtain the correct information) 650ish rwhp on pump 970ish rwhp on C16 *This is a TRUE dual fuel set-up!! The car maintains the factory fuel tank underneath which houses 93 octane (pump gas). A separate fuel cell (polished) in the trunk houses up to 10 gallons of C16 fuel. While driving around, a switch in the center console can be activated and within the time frame of about 1-2 seconds, a controller will switch from the pumps in the factory tank, over to the C16 where a large external pump sends fuel through another fuel line, to a separate fuel rail, housing a 2nd set of ID2000 injectors. Boost is also automatically raised (~37psi) and.........you are now sitting at over 900rwhp with the flip of the switch. By simply flipping the switch back the other direction, boost pressure is returned to normal (~21psi), fuel returns to the 1st rail where the 93 octane is burned for consumption. All of this can be performed WITHOUT turning the car off......can even be performed under normal driving conditions.....only a slight stutter is felt, which is a direct result of the change in fuel. This set-up is BY FAR, one of the best that I have ever seen. If this car looks familiar, it had a build thread on supraforums under its original owner SUPRAMN.....and was featured in the August 2010 issue of Modified Magazine. The car has attended nearly every single TX2K event since 2010 (with the exception of 2013) and was featured in 2014 with the head sponsor, MVP Motorsports, at their booth. Ask anyone who has seen or been around this car and they will tell you of it's condition. I really hate to let it go, but of the two, I am more partial to my other one as it has more sentimental value. The car recently attended the 2014 Nopi Nationals in Bristol, TN where it took home 3 trophies! It won the best of class along with 2 of the 5 Elite class awards. The judging authority stated that in the history of the Nopi Nationals (over 20 years of around 5 national shows each year) ,this was the only vehicle to ever win 2 of the Elite 5 awards! As far as I am aware, all of the mods listed below have less than 4k miles. Vehicle Specs:

As we all know, no warranty can be implied due to the magnitude of what you see here. I can verify and allow that once you see this car and drive it, it will be worth your investment. I am sure that there are some items that have been left out. If you see at anytime that this auction my have been edited, it could be because I left something out that needed to be added. I have done my best to describe this vehicle in it's entirety..... There is a lien on the title and I can give some guidance with any financing you may need. I was able to obtain quite a bit of financial help with this car. It does qualify for agreed value of a high amount as well so you can protect your investment. It will require that the lien be satisfied prior to the delivery of the car, that can be worked out as time allows. I am starting this bid a little on the low side for what is invested in this car. I know that with any build that you will never get your money back, I just need to make more room right now! Thanks and happy bidding...... Feel free to call or text with any questions.....SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY!!!!! I do not have time to answer your questions if you do not have the money to invest.....Sorry, that's just the way it is!! 423-276-7999

Does Scion's LA concept presage a US Auris?
Tue, 28 Oct 2014When the doors open at the LA Auto Show in a few weeks, Scion will be on hand to showcase its new iM Concept. But considering what little Toyota's youthful brand has revealed about the concept so far, it's led to rampant speculation. And the prevailing wisdom seems to point towards a production iM arriving as a Scion-badged version of the Toyota Auris.
For those unfamiliar, the Auris is to European (and other) markets essentially what the Matrix is (was?) to ours: a hatchback version of the Corolla. The model line was first introduced in 2006, looking in its first iteration like an overgrown version of the contemporary second-gen Yaris, and was replaced with the current model in 2012. It's available as a five-door hatch or wagon, with a range of gasoline, diesel and hybrid powertrains available.
If the rumors - spurred by the similarity of the iM concept's nose depicted in the teasers - prove accurate, and public reception to the idea ends up spurring Toyota to put it into action, it wouldn't be the first overseas Toyota brought over as a Scion. The Scion iQ was sold as the Toyota iQ overseas years before it arrived here.
Toyota brings TRD Griffon GT86 to Goodwood [w/video]
Fri, 12 Jul 2013In the midst of the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, there's a particularly special Toyota running up the hill. This special entry is a GT86 (the cousin to our Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ) that's been poked, prodded, and tweaked by the minds at Toyota Racing Development. The result of TRD's fettling is a nearly race-ready car.
Starting with the body, the hood, doors, trunk lid, and wings are all made of carbon fiber. The lightweight treatment doesn't end there, though. The bumpers, fenders, and diffuser all feature carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic, while the windows are now made of polycarbonate plastic.
Under the hood sits the same 2.0-liter boxer engine found in the standard GT86, but its six-speed manual gearbox features a shorter final drive ratio for improved acceleration. The coilover suspension has been firmed up, and a TRD mechanical limited-slip differential replaces the Torsen unit. The TRD Griffon rides on TWS 18-inch wheels and Yokohama Advan tires. To bring proceedings to a stop, TRD has fitted its own mono-block caliper kit, complete with more robust racing pads.
HQ move based on study, not pitch from Gov. Perry, Toyota says
Tue, 29 Apr 2014Toyota's surprising announcement on Monday that it will move its North American headquarters from Torrance, CA location to the Dallas suburb of Plano, TX is allegedly not due to any political wrangling from the state's Republican governor, Rick Perry.
Perry (above) has been up front in his aggressive pursuit of businesses and jobs for Texas, traveling to California, Missouri, Illinois and New York to tempt corporations to his state. And it's not just about the promise of much lower taxes, a Perry spokesman reminds Automotive News that the state boasts, "a workforce that is skilled and ready to do any job."
For his part, Jim Lentz, Toyota's North American CEO said Plano was chosen through an internal process, with the location helped by its proximity to the company's massive pickup factory in San Antonio rather than any campaigning from the governor.
