1994 Toyota Supra on 2040-cars

1994 Original Twin Turbo 6 speed Hardtop. Original Silver and was repainted Nissan 350z blue. Paint is in good
shape except for scratch and chip on drivers door. It has 77,304 miles on it now. It has a clean Maryland title,
but when I pull carfax it shows salvage title 12 years ago, also odometer discrepancy. It looks like it was
wrecked in the front pretty good. I think the front passenger frame rail was bent and they pulled it instead of
replacing the rail. I included pictures of the underside frame rail to show the repairs. Car drives straight
though. Just drove it back from Maryland 2000 miles with no issues and alignment is good. A/C is the only thing
not working, I think the long line to the firewall was broken from the accident and needs to be replaced. All the
A/C components are there though. Here's a list of basic list of current mods and maintenance done.
Stock motor
Ebay Single turbo kit with Powerhouse Racing stage 1 turbo, old shcool precision 63mm
FMIC
4 inch catback exhaust
Map ECU 1
Stock fuel
JVC CD player
New front and rear tires
New radiator and Toyota Red coolant
RPS stage 1 clutch with 6 puck disk and RPS lightweight flywheel
Interior is in decent shape. Has factory cloth interior. Dash panels have normal wear and tear for a 20 year old
car. Carpet on passenger floor is worn away, but floor mat covers most of it. Has newer CD player with USB.
Heat and cruise control work great. PW/PL are in good working order.
Engine is very healthy, compression is 155-162 psi on every cylinder. All maintenance is up to date, no leaks.
Transmission shifts great with no grinding in any gears. Transmission input shaft bearing and clutch throw-out
bearing is possibly going bad because it makes a slight whine as the rpms go up. The car is running on the stock
fuel system and 15 psi of boost. I would estimate the car to be about 500 rwhp.
I've priced this car about $20,000 cheaper than what an all original twin turbo 6 speed clean title hardtop with
77,000 miles would go for. This is a good starting point for someone trying to get into a supra at a cheaper
price. Please have your finances squared away before you call to purchase. Thanks, 801-940-3339

Toyota sells six of 10 of hybrids in California
Wed, 31 Jul 2013In an apparent shot back at Ford's increasing market share of electrified vehicles and claim that it accepts more Prius trade-ins for its own hybrids than any other car, Toyota has flexed a muscle and played the numbers game to put the Blue Oval in its place.
Leaning on its hybrid market dominance in California, the Japanese automaker stated that six out of 10 hybrids sold in the Golden State are Toyota models. And it keeps coming: Year-to-date through May 2013, Toyota sold five times more hybrids than Ford. One of every two hybrids in California is a Prius model. In addition, Toyota notes that it has sold 1.5 million Prius vehicles in the US, 90-percent of which are still on the road today.
Want more? We'll let Bill Fay, Toyota's group vice president and general manager of sales lay the smack down:
Toyota FT-86 Open Concept would make a mighty fine droptop FR-S
Tue, 05 Mar 2013There's nothing wrong with going topless. And Toyota is proving that its FT-86 (read: Scion FR-S/Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ) coupe is just as excellent with its roof removed. It may only be a concept, but this FT-86 Open previews a new droptop from the Japanese automaker to round out the Toyobaru sports car family. We're finally getting the chance to see the open-air FT-86 in person here at the Geneva Motor Show, and we're already yearning to take it canyon-carving.
Interestingly, the FT-86 retains the Toyota coupe's two-plus-two seating arrangement (we'd prefer a proper roadster setup here), but things still look good for this droptop two-door. We'll be curious to see how the car looks with its folding soft top in place (operated by fancy-shmancy electronics, by the way).
As for production intent, rumors have been flying about a production Scion FR-S convertible, but until we hear it directly from Toyota. Consider our hopes in check but our fingers crossed.
Toyota mulling more Tundra, Tacoma capacity in TX
Tue, 17 Dec 2013Toyota may be expanding its pickup truck production at its San Antonio, TX factory following calls from dealers for more Tacoma and Tundra models, according to a new report from Automotive News.
The San Antonio plant is currently able to produce 250,000 trucks on two shifts with overtime, while a secondary facility in Tijuana, Mexico can build an extra 50,000 Tacomas. Despite this capacity, and the fact that Tundra is a slow seller relative to the full-size trucks from Ford, Ram and Chevrolet/GMC (not to mention the Tacoma being part of a segment with diminishing sales), Toyota franchisees apparently can't get enough of the trucks.
"Dealers are telling us they could sell more Tacomas and Tundras," said Bill Fay, the general manager of the Toyota Division. "We are evaluating our footprint and capacity." According to AN, Toyota has moved over 248,000 trucks through November.
