This is a chance to own a VERY RARE 1993 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo Premier Edition. This car has the automatic transmission and is a targa top car . Color is Black with tan leather. This Supra is COMPLETELY STOCK making it even more rare. It has a clean carfax and has never been in a accident.
Without modification, these cars are extremely fast. They have 320 hp and 315 torque, 0-60 in 4.6-4.9 seconds and can run the 1/4 mile in 13.1
Toyota only made this generation Supra from 1993-1998. In that 6 year time they only produced around 7866 total with the twin turbo engine. In 1993 they built a total of 1686 twin turbo Supras. There were only 992 were made with the sport roof and an auto trans, and of those only 431 were black. Some of these have been totaled or stolen and even more have been modified way beyond stock. So who even knows how many are truly left stock and in good condition. The twin turbo had a MSRP that was over $50k in 1993! This car will turn heads everywhere and is amazing to drive.
The car is 20 years old and has 144k miles (less than 7200 per year) on it but shows very well. I had the front clip recently repainted due to stone chips. The rest of the body is in great shape. The interior looks good but shows some very minor wear due to its age. Leather is in good shape with no rips or tears. Mechanically this Supra is perfect. It has new shocks all around, new rotors and pads, new power antenna, new battery, new radiator, new hoses, new spark plugs, new timing belt and water pump, all fluids (mobil-one oil, coolant, trans, brake, pwr steering) have been flushed and changed. All work was done with-in the last 2000 miles by a certified mechanic. All four BRAND NEW tires. As you can see this car needs nothing and has had a LOT of money just spent on it. Freshly detailed and ready for a new owner. Everything works except for the radio, I can provide a working stock replacement if requested.
CASH sale only please. Please only serious people with the money to buy it.Please have all your finances in line before you place a bid! Serious buyers may call me (Eric) at 586-354-1464 with any questions. This car is also for sale locally, I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. The car will not be released without full cash payment. I will assist with shipping once full payment has been made.

Toyota aims to build autonomous car around 2020 [w/videos]
Tue, Oct 6 2015The race is on to get increasingly sophisticated forms of autonomous driving technology on the road, and brands like Tesla are bringing these solutions to some drivers now. But as one of the world's largest automakers, it's no surprise to see Toyota competing in the field, as well. By 2020, the company thinks a person could be largely unnecessary for freeway trips. With a suite of tech called the Highway Teammate, a modified Lexus GS is already showing what's possible. Using a combination of millimeter wave radar, LIDAR, and cameras, the GS gets a full view of the road, and software processes all of the info to make decisions. The result is a ride on the freeway without human interaction. The system can merge, change lanes, make passes, take curves, and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles. Accurate map data is a necessity to make this work, so the system currently only being tested on Tokyo's Shuto Expressway. While Highway Teammate might not be the best name, it accurately communicates the way Toyota thinks of the tech. The company is making big investments in artificial intelligence to assist drivers, not completely replace them. You can see the system in action in the video below, and the second clip's gravely serious narrator explains the company's idea of having a fully connected road someday. New Toyota Test Vehicle Paves the Way for Commercialization of Automated Highway Driving Technologies Toyota City, Japan, October 6, 2015-Toyota has been testing a new automated driving test vehicle called Highway Teammate, with the aim of launching related products by around 2020. In addition to demonstrating the capabilities of next-generation safety technologies, the vehicle represents Toyota's view of the evolving driver-car relationship in the age of artificial intelligence. Toyota believes that interactions between drivers and cars should mirror those between close friends who share a common purpose, sometimes watching over each other and sometimes helping each other out. Toyota refers to this approach as the Mobility Teammate Concept, and Highway Teammate represents an important first effort to give form to this concept.
2014 Toyota Tundra appears with revised styling, same mechanicals
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Toyota has pulled the curtain back on its 2014 Tundra, showing a truck that has gotten its most significant refresh since its launch as a 2007 model. For better or worse, however, the changes that Toyota has made to the fullsize pickup are mostly cosmetic, with the underpinnings of the vehicle staying unchanged.
The most obvious revision for 2014 is to the bluff front fascia of the truck. There's a new, taller squared-off grille decorating the Tundra's nose, along with a revised, three-part front bumper design. The optional black grille-frame strikes us as an acquired taste, to say the least, but other models, like the Limited above, is all clad in chrome. Fenders and wheel wells are more square than in the out-going truck, too. Perhaps most significant is the revised bed design, which Toyota calls "all-new," with new sheet metal on the sides, a revised tailgate and a very subtle integrated spoiler.
Inside, Toyota has given buyers some new seats and a new-look instrument panel. A backup camera (always handy on big trucks) is now standard equipment on all grades, as is Bluetooth connectivity. Blind spot monitoring is a new, optional feature as well. In all, as with the exterior mods, the changes in-cabin are far more evolutionary than revolutionary.
Autocar pits McLaren MP4-12C against turbo Toyota GT86
Thu, 29 Aug 2013The Toyota GT86, in all of its forms, is one of the best-handling cars money can buy, a trait that can put a smile on the faces of all but the most jaded car enthusiasts. But if good handling isn't what they're looking for, then what is? Our first guess would have to be more power, something the 200-horsepower Toyota would benefit from. Autocar tries out that theory by driving two turbocharged GT86s on track, then pitting the more powerful one against the 616-hp McLaren MP4-12C in a track battle.
The first GT86 turbo Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe drives makes around 255 rear-wheel horsepower and a bucket-load more torque than the stock car. That's plenty of power to either have a lot of fun or get into a lot of trouble. But the GT86 that Sutcliffe tails in the McLaren is race-prepped, stripped to the bone and wears slicks to harness a heavy-hitting 335 hp at the wheel. Weighing in at under 2,500 pounds, the Toyota can't overcome the MP4-12C's power-to-weight ratio of 5.3 pounds per horsepower, but it comes pretty close.
Enjoy a lot of chasing and drifting fun in the video below!
