Here we have a 1988 Toyota Supra Turbo. I am selling this car for a friend who has never sold on e-Bay. The car is in good shape. It has not been driven in the last 3 years but has been garaged during this time. The car was running when parked but is not running at this time. The owner has been told the problem may be with fuel or the spark. It does turn over but won't crank. He does state the turbo was fine when they drove it last and the car ran fine. The reason they parked it was due to their son being a teenager and his driving habits. The owner has a clear title and has it in hand. The auto transmission was replaced in 2002 with a Toyota rebuilt transmission. The car is burgandy with a burgandy leather interior. The car doesn't have any rust and does not look like it has ever been in a wreck. The body is very straight with only a couple of dings. The paint is very presentable and could use a good buffing. The trim around the windows is starting to crack and needs replacing. The glass is all good and nothing cracked. The interior is in pretty good shape. The seats are showing some wear and have a few tears and some cracking. The carpets, while not perfect, are in very good condition. The dash has a couple of small cracks also. The headliner is good also. It has the top that comes off, not a T-top but maybe a targa type, I'm not sure but it does remove. The drivers armrest is cracking also. The car has Power locks, drivers seat, windows and cruise control. The tires are going to have to be replaced, they are worn pretty good. It looks to have the factory alloy wheels. It has an after market radio in it. I wish I could tell you about the engine and electrics but there is no battery in it. Like I said earlier, it ran when parked. Now a few of the rough areas. The seats have a few bad places, the rear hatch release is broken, the fuel door release is broken, the steering wheel is rough and the trim could use some work. All in all this is a pretty nice Supra that needs a little TLC. It will make a nice driver with hopefully very little money. If you want to ask questions, I will answer the best I can. my name is Bill @ 205-288-7142 or I will answer your email questions @ at this ad. If you want to e-mail the owner his address is lee@hlpuckett.com. The car is located in Trussville, Al. If you want to inspect the car, call Bill or email me at zebrasports@aol.com. Thanks and Happy Bidding!

Here's the 2017 Toyota 86: Don't call it a Scion
Fri, Feb 5 2016After we heard the bells toll for Scion yesterday, we told you that the Scion FR-S will transform into a Toyota. That's right: just a rebadging. The practical question is, which badge? The philosophical question, which we can't answer yet, is where it'll sit in the pantheon of front-engined, rear-drive Toyota sports cars, of which the Supra was the last one to visit our shores, from 1992 until 1998 in its fourth generation. And as if summoned by this conversation, this camouflaged prototype appeared. Our best guess is that this is going to be the US-bound, Toyota-badged version of the Subaru BRZ and all the other 86-badged variants: the Toyota 86 (in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and South Africa), Toyota GT86 (in Europe and New Zealand again), and Toyota FT86 (in Nicaragua and Jamaica). For simplicity's sake, let's call it a Toyota 86. Peer into the 86's swirly camo, and it looks like the car is going in for a light refresh. The lower intake in the front fascia, if it's representative of a production part, adopts a different shape and is considerably wider and narrower than either the BRZ or FR-S units. It also appears that the turn signal and its surround are reshaped, different than any of the current variants. Changes out back appear mild. The area around the license plate seems to be smoother, and there is likely a predictable light restyle of the bumper skin and defuser under the camo. We don't expect a significant power increase, and certainly not a turbocharger (sorry!), but crossing fingers wouldn't do any harm. Related Video:
2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross vs. small crossover SUVs: How they compare on paper
Fri, Feb 23 2018In the midst of the crossover SUV boom, each traditional size segment has become saturated. As a result, automakers are beginning to fill the gaps that separate classes, giving us some interesting in-between options. The all-new 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross jumps right into one of those in-between categories bookended by compact and subcompact crossovers. It's a niche that offers more space and feature content than the smallest vehicles, with an extra dose of style and a lower price than bigger ones. Because of the Eclipse Cross' in-between nature, though, there's not really an obvious direct competitor. As such, we've selected a diverse group of small crossovers that are similar to the Eclipse Cross in some but not all key areas: size, price, feature content, style and likely buyers. The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, 2018 Toyota C-HR and 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport each have elements in common, but are different enough to provide useful points of comparison. A chart of specifications and key standard features is shown below, followed by more in-depth analysis. And if you wish to compare these crossovers with others not listed, be sure to check out our comparison tools. Engines and Drivetrains One of the Eclipse Cross' biggest advantages in this segment will be its engine. Subcompact crossovers, including the other three we've chosen, are sluggish to say the least. This new Mitsubishi should be different as it packs a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that belts out a whopping 184 pound-feet of torque. We say whopping, because the C-HR, Crosstrek and Rogue Sport all have between 139 and 147 pound-feet. Horsepower is similarly unimpressive at just 152 horsepower - the same as the Crosstrek - but that torque should make passing and on-ramp runs much more satisfying. The appeal of crossovers for many people is the availability of all-wheel-drive, and this is where the Subaru gets an advantage. Like with all Subarus that aren't a BRZ, the Crosstrek has standard all-wheel drive. The Mitsubishi comes close, making all-wheel drive standard on every trim level except the very base ES trim level. On the Rogue Sport, all-wheel drive is an option on all trim levels. Depending on where you live, though, being able to have front drive on a high-trim crossover could be a plus because it will save some money and improve fuel economy. The C-HR loses this battle as it's only available with front-wheel drive.
Toyota Prius owners targeted by tire-slashing VA vandal
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Toyota Prius owners aren't bad folks. With a few exceptions, they're just normal people that appreciate the comfortable, high-mileage hybrid. Someone in Arlington, Virginia doesn't see it that way, though, as 14 examples (and one Smart) had at least one tire slashed last Sunday night.
The serial tire-slasher didn't any items from the vehicles, but he or she has left owners with substantial bills and sour dispositions. According to a report from ABC affiliate WJLA, some citizens are considering the matter a hate crime.
Despite the targeting of Toyota hybrids and the acquisition of one fingerprint, police have been unable to make any arrests, as the slasher has targeted vehicles across the county. Take a look at the local news report from WJLA below.
