IMPORTANT: First picture was taken before any damage all those taken this past week. If you notice any purple shapes that is the lens on my camera (they are in the same spot in every pic)

Up for the sale is a 1987 Toyota Supra. They really don't make them like they used to and she's a great car to drive. I've spent at least $10500+ with a significant amount of aftermarket parts and upgrades though the car does need a mechanic's touch. No surprises everything below is everything that I am aware of that needs work, no matter how small. This car is definitely a head turner and with a nice low but loud exhaust you definitely make your presence known.

The Backstory
My first car was a 1986.5 NA 5 Speed, I spent quite sometime looking for another supra, back in 2004 I had found this car in outside of Green Bay, WI, 2 plane tickets later I bought it with 1000k and put the first thousands miles driving it to NJ. I've had the car for 10 years and have only put on about 25k on it, I am the third owner (records show I'm the fourth because it was transferred to my mother since I was only 19 at the time). The guy I bought it from had it as a show car removing the air conditioner, cruise control and wipers (the motors work just wipers and wiper arms are needed). The guy also changed the locks so the keys only allow access to driver side door and ignition though the power locks and trunk hatchet allows access to the rest of the car. I've lost it since but I was also given the dyno sheet with 313 HP.  The first owner I was told was an old man who like the 2nd owner kept it in the garage. Up until these last few years this car has been garage kept and covered, while only being used during May to September each year hence only the 25k in 10 years, in the time I wasn't during it, it was either started and taken for a quick spin every week or two or I had the fluids drained. Due to life changes I no longer have a garage and/or the time to invest into this car. I've resisted selling this car for the past year because these cars are too far and few in between but with work and school full time I'd prefer it will go to a better home. I have the carfax and their has no accidents.

No surprises everything below is everything that I am aware of that needs work, no matter how small.
The Bad (along with solution/what I've done to fix it so far
- I believe I blew a piston, engines starts but noise leads me to believe it could be a rod, or wrist pin. My mechanic feels the same before this I had found a small boost leak
- Front Bumper has been forcefully removed when the car got towed (due to unrelated spite-filled neighbor) While at the impound lot she was hit by a tow truck in the driver side rear fender with some paint exchange. Unfortunately and not surprising they are not responsible for what happens to your car during & once towed.
Solution: .bodykitsdotcom or any other,  The bumper I got is only 136 though you can replace it with anything you'd like
- Rear bumper missing right most plastic clip
Solution: Very simple either replacement clip or can be reattached in many other ways, can be pushed in so doesn't hang and I was more focused on large issues so never got around to it
- Targa Top, The built-in screw on the front passenger-side of the targa broke and came loose (little cousin) though it still closes it is an imperfect seal, during a high-pressure car wash or torrential down pour you will get a small leak of droplets.
Solution: I've kept the car covered, have only hand-washed it since, and as mentioned before it only came out during the summer hence not an issue. I've also purchased an 2nd targa top and was going to replace the interiors when I had engine trouble. Hence replacement is in the back seat.
- Passenger side skirt has a crack in the center
Solution: needs to be mounted better so does not rise, a quick fix.
Minor issues that did not bother me: The shift boot is missing a clip so the bottom hangs about half an inch does not affect anything and hard to even notice. The lights by the rear view don't work I believe its just the bulb but not sure, the vanity mirror light does work though the passenger window can only be controlled by the driver side. The plastic on  Drive side interior door handle broke but door opens/closes just fine. The center console & hatchback privacy screen show are sun-worn. Very back of roof hangs by about an inch or so only noticeable when I opened the hatchback.

The Good
- The engine is a stock turbo 7M-GTE, once fixed it can tuned to your delight
- Front mounted intercooler (brand eludes me)
- custom intake
- 3 inch Blitz Nur-spec exhaust system (Silencer included but not installed...because why?)
- Targa Top, great for spring/summer
S-AFC II - The Super AFC II (Air Flow Converter)
- Greddy Turbo Timer installed
- Greddy Boost Controller installed (2nd setting up to 14 psi)
- Pillar pod w/ Greddy Turbo gauge installed (not connected)
- The body kits are mostly in good condition
- Low mileage, garage kept most of her life.
- I've replaced the windshield through safelite and it has a transferable warranty
- Just replaced the battery about a week ago.
- Upgraded cd player w/Aux, and Rockwell Fosgate speakers installed
- I believe I have an extra oil filter, and I have complete sets of the front & rear brakes pads, if for whatever reason it needs to be outside I'll gladly include the cover. I have a box with two 10" speakers, two 12s" would not fit. The box needs to be glued in a corner and the amp is included though not wired. I also have a few supra related things that I'm willing to part with it, also I have the Mother's car wax that I used to hand wash it.

In ten years I've gone over 150+mph less than five times and over 100+ less than 12. Shes definitely fast and fun, though once repaired care much be taken to pay attention to your speed you could easily hit 90-100 in third by around 4000 rpm. Fast speed I've taken her was 166 mph on a track. Though it may be hard to see I've taken every step possible to ensure I'd have this car for a long time thus I did not street race and/or stupid crazy stunts with it.

All this car needs is someone with a few weeks and a pair of mechanics hands.
Please please I sincerely ask that you bid with intention of taking care of this car. I've spent alot time/money/effort for this car and as I've mentioned before their really are to few and far in between of these left. Please feel free to message me with any picture requests/questions. Thank you for time I didn't mean it to be such a long read just when it comes to this car I have alot more to say.

I find stock supra with more damage selling for $2000-2500 so my reserve is set to $3400 and please don't suggest any "special" (lower prices) than that, $3400 is less than 1/3 of the minimum of what I spent.

Buyer is fully responsible for pick-up and I would like to be gone by May 11th. Car runs and can be driven but should not and buyer should bring a flatbed to prevent further damage.

Andrew Gilleland is new VP of Scion, Murtha moves to Toyota

Fri, Sep 25 2015

Scion is getting some fresh blood at the top as Andrew Gilleland (pictured above) becomes the new vice president to take over for Doug Murtha. Gilleland is no stranger to the division, and served as the national field operations manager early in the brand's launch. Murtha moves to take leadership of corporate strategy and planning for Toyota in North America. "Now it's Andrew's charge to spread the message of the style and value of the iM and iA, as well as a third new vehicle that will be added to the lineup," Toyota division group vice president Bill Fay said in the announcement. Gilleland moves up from being general manager of Toyota's central Atlantic regional office. He takes the reins at Scion at a potential turning point for the division. Sales volume for the year through August is down 22.1 percent to 32,691 vehicles, but some big changes are afoot. The long-lived xB is likely about to bow out, and the brand is launching two new products with the iM and iA. They're getting some celebrity advertising, too. Spy shots also suggest the FR-S might get a refresh soon. Plus, the third model Fay teases is expected to be a compact crossover, possibly with styling inspiration from the Toyota C-HR concept. Scion could get a big boost by having an entry in that booming segment. New Products, Previous Player - Scion Introduces New Vice President Andrew Gilleland Returns to Youth Brand September 24, 2015 TORRANCE, Calif. (Sept. 24, 2015) – In the early days of Scion, when xAs and xBs were flying out of dealers' showrooms, Andrew Gilleland was the National Field Operations Manager for the youth brand. He was responsible for working with dealers to ensure they embraced the new products and processes Scion offered. Now, Scion is entering its teen years, and Gilleland is back as Vice President of Scion, once again encouraging dealers to sell its new models and investigate new methods to attract young buyers. "Scion has sold nearly a million vehicles since I left in 2005 and I'm excited to be back leading this team," said Gilleland. "The iM 5-door hatchback and iA sports sedan arrived at dealerships earlier this month and the response has been great.

Fuel cells will flop outside Japan, says VW

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

"It may fly within Japan, but not globally," VW's Shoji said.
It's long been battered into our beleaguered auto writer brains that the ultimate future source of motivation for tomorrow's cars and trucks is not gasoline, diesel, electricity, natural gas, propane or solar power - it's the hydrogen fuel cell. It's been the Next Big Thing since the start of Next Big Things.

Toyota Avalon celebrates 20 years with Touring Sport Edition

Mon, 27 Oct 2014

The Toyota Avalon may not have the sportiest image on the market. Heck, it doesn't even have the sportiest image in the Toyota lineup. But the Japanese automaker is out to fix that perception, at least a little bit, with the launch of the new Touring Sport Edition.
Announced together with some minor updates to the entire Avalon line - consisting primarily of enhanced safety and infotainment systems - the Avalon XLE Touring Sport Edition celebrates the 20th anniversary of Toyota's large sedan line. Setting this special edition apart are a black paintjob, HID headlights, LED daytime running lights, 18-inch alloys (similar in design to those on the Scion FR-S) and an interior decked out with perforated leather with dark blue trim... plus, of course, the requisite special badges inside and out.
Only 2,500 units will be offered with a $37,170 sticker price that puts it near (if not quite at) the top of the Avalon range that's capped by the $41,700 Avalon Hybrid Limited. Pricing has increased on most models by around two percent, and you can scope out all the details of the updates to the full range in the press releases below.
