I've worked on restoring this car for 3 years now, and I just don't have time to devote to it anymore. It's a 3.0L 6cyl naturally aspirated automatic. The car is reliable, runs very well, and looks very clean for it's age, inside and out. The pictures show that. The restoration work that was done to it was all on the engine. (New head gasket, new head bolts, new upper and lower intake manifold, new throttle body, new air intake ducting, new battery, new Speedometer cable, new wire loom) It has power windows, doors, mirrors, and seats. New hood and lift gate pistons. Currently the car is without a radio (had an aftermarket one and put it in another vehicle) Known issues: the AC needs to be charged. It worked 2 years ago but after the rebuild it only blows hot. Sold as is. Needs to be gone by Nov 25th. (Moving, and don't want to take it with me) It's a 26 year old car that will have the normal issues a 26 year old car will have, (paint scratches, etc) but it's in great shape even considering it's age. 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser Ultimate Edition

Introduced at the end of 2006, this is the last year for the Toyota FJ Cruiser, the reincarnated FJ40-series Land Cruiser that will shortly journey to Takama-ga-hara, the Plain of High Heaven. In its first model year, we drove it to SEMA and found it, shall we say, coarse. It bobbled on the freeway and droned in the cabin, its boxy interior providing four bounce-boards for unpleasant frequencies. Tall mirrors helped one work around the eclipse of vision aft of the B-pillars, but navigating traffic required forethought and technique. Its turning circle was measured in kilometers. For the first two years of its life, it needed premium gas. It may have been fun to look at, but we couldn't wait to get out of it.
That's not the case anymore, and now the FJ Cruiser is poised to join a long list of vehicles that got better and better, then got axed.

Lexus eschews production in China over quality concerns

One of the more popular trends in the auto industry is setting up production operations in China. Mainstream manufacturers like Ford, General Motors and Volkswagen have done it, and even luxury marques like Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have or will soon have manufacturing ops in the People's Republic.
One company that isn't building cars in China, though, is Lexus. The Toyota-owned luxury brand still manufactures all of its vehicles in Japan (aside from a few RXs, which are built at a Toyota factory in Canada). According to Tokuo Fukuichi, Lexus just isn't ready to build cars there yet.
"The German Three have a brand image that they have cultivated over the past century in their long history, but Lexus is not in people's minds like that yet," Fukuichi-san told Reuters UK.
