Nothing says fun and freedom like driving with the top down on a hot summer day. Reclaim your glory days with this Toyota Solara SLE convertible. White body, black top, black leather interior. Toyota Racing Development package: supercharger engine, stiffer suspension, premium sound system with built-in 6-disc changer. Body is in great shape, a few minor rust spots along driver's side door, and along the top of the windshield but otherwise clean. Clean, smoke-free interior. Leather shows no signs of wear and tear. The car was originally owned in Arizona, so there is an after-market tint on the side windows. I purchased it used in 2008 with 95,000 miles on it. There is one minor accident in its history, not severe enough to the deploy the airbags and resulted in a new hood, front and side fenders.

Toyota reveals Tokyo Motor Show concepts
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Toyota is getting ready for the Tokyo Motor Show later this month, and to tease us, the Japanese automaker has released photos and information about the concept vehicles it'll be bringing to the show. In all, there'll be five world premieres from Toyota (six if you split the Voxy and Noah minivan concepts), including some vehicles that'll be released in the near future, and others that need more time to incubate.
Let's get the world premieres out first. Toyota is a pioneer of gasoline-electric hybrids, but it's also pursuing hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicles. The clearest indication of this is the FCV concept, a hydrogen-powered sedan in the same vein as the the FCV-R that will bow at the auto show. (Read more about the FCV, here.)
Other world debuts include the FV2 concept (pictured), a unique, one-seat future vehicle that emphasizes the "Fun to Drive" philosophy; the JPN TAXI concept, a next-generation taxi concept designed with Japanese hospitality in mind; and the Voxy and Noah concepts, next-generation minivans that differ most in exterior design cues and are scheduled to launch in the Japanese market in early 2014.
Toyota launches new Pixis Epoch kei car in Japan
Sat, 12 May 2012Kei cars may be small in size, but they're big business in Japan. The latest arrival to the category is the little hatch you see above, the Toyota Pixis Epoch.
It's the fourth vehicle produced by the Daihatsu division but sold under the Toyota brand. As with other keis, power comes from a 660cc engine. It's mated to a continuously variable transmission driving either just the front wheels or all four. In both configurations, the Pixis Epoch features a stop-start system that helps its emissions and fuel efficiency figures come in well below even the Japanese government's stringent standards.
The whole package measures just 3,395 mm (133 inches) long, 1,475 mm (58 inches) wide and 1,500 mm (59 inches) tall, but offers a relatively spacious and utile interior, plus a tight turning radius of just 4.4 meters. Pricing ranges from 795,000 to 1.2 million yen - that's less than $10,000 (and no more than $15k). Further details in the press release after the jump.
