This is my 2003 Toyota Solara It has only 117,000 original miles on it comes with a salvage title and has some minor body damage on the passenger side front marker light and hood... the hood to buy a new one and have it shipped to your door is less than $250 and the light is less than $50 (on eBay) I do not have the money to put into this car right now because my wife and I are buying a house and need all our extra cash for the down payment so I am just looking to sell it as is to someone who has the time and money to fix it, or maybe even trade it for a 4door SUV or sedan... of the same value... the car runs excellent even as it is.  The hood still closes and does not affect drivability it runs great the temperature gauge seems to be finicky but i had it checked out and it does not overheat... the tires have good tread and the inside is very clean with a 6 disk MP3 changer and power leather seats and digital climate control for both sides... the only other down fall to the car is the tags expired DMV fees due... I have a pink Lost title title and bill of sale ready to go and Ive already checked with the DMV there are no lien holders or anything just pay the back fees and you can drive it home... ill even go to DMV with you to assure that everything goes ok...so feel free to call anytime with questions my name is Joe

209-628-6638

P.S. Kelly Blue Book Value is $7500 and if you buy this car and fix it your self it will only cost a total with parts and DMV fees of $5000 so you will be $2500 back of book and able to drive it yourself or sell for a major profit... thanks very much for reading!

ALSO THIS CAR IS SOLD COMPLETELY AS-IS I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY OF THE REPAIRS THAT RESULT FROM THE VEHICLE.

Toyota pimps out Esquire van for Japanese businessmen [w/video]

Wed, 29 Oct 2014

A few months back we reported on a dealership owner in Japan who was petitioning Toyota to make a luxury van. The problem, he reasoned, was that he couldn't take as many friends, colleagues and clients around with him in his Lexus LS, and his Toyota Alphard van wasn't luxurious enough. Well, it seems like he wasn't alone, and Toyota has listened.
The Japanese auto giant has just revealed the Esquire, a new luxury van designed with just such customers in mind. It's significantly smaller than the Sienna we get in America, smaller than the aforementioned Alphard and about the same size as (this writer's favorite) the JDM Noah van (on which we gather it's based). But what sets the Esquire apart is its upscale appearance.
The boxy van is distinguished by its dominant T-shaped chrome grille with a unique emblem that encompasses a shield, sword, "the collar of a gentleman's suit" and the letters Esq. The flank is characterized by a strong beltline with chrome lower window frame and an expansive greenhouse with tinted rear glass. Inside the flexible cabin you'll find accommodation for seven or eight passengers (depending on specification), synthetic leather upholstery and wood and metallic trim. There are even wheelchair-enabled models on offer as well.

Toyota vows to fix poor Camry crash test result that irked Consumer Reports

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

Many Toyota vehicles haven't been performing well in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) small overlap frontal crash test, and the Camry is one of them. The 2012 and 2013 Camry both received "Poor" ratings, IIHS' lowest rating, in the test, which spurred Consumer Reports to take the car off its "Recommended" list. In response to the low ratings in the small overlap frontal test, and in a bid to maintain its best-seller status, Toyota will make changes to the Camry to improve its IIHS safety rating and to enhance its design, The Detroit News reports.
The Camry performed well in the moderate overlap frontal, side, roof strength and head restraints and seats crash tests, receiving "Good" ratings, IIHS' highest rating, in all four tests. That was enough for IIHS to award it a Top Safety Pick rating, just not TSP+.
Bill Fay, head of Toyota's US division, reportedly says, "It's still a five-star car. It still does very well in all the IIHS tests. It did not in [the small overlap frontal crash test], and we're busy making the necessary adjustments so that we can address that."

Toyota TRD Pro Chase Trucks are ready to hit the desert at SEMA

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

Toyota marks the 35th anniversary of its Toyota Racing Development performance arm this year, and the division is celebrating at this year's SEMA Show with a quartet of tuned off-roaders based on on the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra that look more than ready to go just about anywhere.
All four of them will take part in this year's Baja 1000 race, but only the Tundra (far left in the above photo) is actually competing. The other three will be there to act as support vehicles.
Inspired by the production TRD Pro Series trucks, the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra are prepared by off-road fabricator N-Fab with a mix of TRD and the company's own parts to be able to take whatever the grueling, 1,000-mile can throw at them. The trio is fettled with extra communications equipment, GPS, additional lights and all sorts of body and suspension modifications to help them survive the ordeal.
