This has been my work car (truck) for about 6 years. It has been in my family since new. EVERYTHING about this van is broken, or scratched, or worn out, or missing, or soiled, or whatever bad thing you can think of. The rear seats are missing. The outside is dinged and scratched. One side window won't close. It is pukey dirty inside. The 2 rear tires are nearly new, but they are the wrong size. The 2 front tires are completely worn out. The air conditioner needs charged every year, at least. The engine runs. HOWEVER, it is blown. The van will run and can LIKELY load itself onto a trailer. You may NOT come and test drive it. The engine is ready to fly apart at any second. You cannot be disappointed by this car because I am telling you right now that it is JUNK. If it does not sell on Ebay, it will go to a local junk yard. They have already told me what they will give for it and I was surprised. By the way, it has never been smoked in since new. Impressed? Don't be. It is still junk. You must send a US Postal Money Order to me for payment, or pay cash at pick up within 5 days of the auction end. If you send someone to get it, I will assist them in loading it. For shipping help, try UShip.com. God Bless and happy bidding!

Here are the best-selling cars and trucks from January 2015

Fri, Feb 6 2015

Every month, Autoblog slogs through all the sales figures reported by automakers that do business in the United States, and, after a little bit of sorting, we put it into an easy-to-read chart in an attempt to make it as easy as possible to follow the ins and outs of sales and shipments. But that only covers the brands themselves, not the individual models they sell. And we think you'd all be interested in knowing which vehicles beat their rivals in sales from month to month, so we've put together this handy gallery to keep you in the know. While the leader of the pack may not come as much of a surprise, the order that the top ten finishes in changes frequently – due to automaker deals, the price of gas, etc. – and we've included some statistics to help you see how their current performance stacks up to month's past. Toyota, Honda, Nissan and more collaborating to increase fuel efficiency

Sun, 25 May 2014

Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Daihatsu have announced an alliance that will see a push to improve fuel economy from both gas-powered and diesel-powered engines by as much as 30 percent before the end of the decade.
The newly assembled Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines put the roughly $20-million project together, with the Japanese government committing to half the cost while the eight manufacturers will chip in the rest.
According to Automotive News, the automakers will team up and share basic research on internal-combustion engines in a bid to cut costs. Eventually, the results of the research will find its way into a production vehicle, although it's unclear just when we'll see the fruits of this partnership on the road.

Toyota's Psy-style Waku-Doki ad inherits Japan's bizarre ad crown

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

A new Japanese Toyota ad featuring crisply suited businessmen driving into the jungle only to segue into a Psy-style music-video dance-off with a gorilla and natives is the latest car commercial to go viral. Jungle Wakudoki is the newest installment in a grand tradition of bizarre ads from the island nation that are by turns hilarious, head-scratching and occasionally even frightening.
Let's face it: My people are weird.
I'm half-Japanese and take suitable pride in my Asian roots, but even I can't figure out what's been slipped into the water coolers of the country's ad agencies much of the time - or the nation at large, for that matter. From Japan's ubiquitous obsession with all things adorable (kawaii) to its offbeat sense of humor and its bizarrely perverse and violent tentacle porn, it's clear there's a lot going on in the culture, and only some of it bubbles up to the surface in its marketing efforts. Much of the strangest and most amazing ads are for non-transportation products (e.g. laundry soap, snacks, energy drinks), but the automotive space has its fair share. This latest Toyota ad had me trawling YouTube for a common theme, trying to make sense of why these spots are the way they are. Scroll down to watch the Toyota ad in question as well as a bunch of other examples of Japan's most bizarre car-related ads and see if you can't find the thread that runs between them. Is it just that something's being lost in translation? Have your say in Comments.
