The mini van has been off of the road since Feb 2013 due to a bad transmission that's why I'm selling for parts or repair as it has a lot of good parts, plus a lot of expensive new parts. The engine runs good and it had the following parts installed prior to the transmission going bad.Brand new radiator 1 month old. 2 brand new Bridgestone B380 run flats with 7 days of wear on the rear, still has the yellow paint dot on the tires. The front tires were purchased in Sept 2012 as well as new front and rear catalytic converters which are part of the exhaust manifolds. Also has a new stainless flex pipe after the manifolds going into the exhaust pipe.Interior has normal wear for 200k miles and 9 years. Steel wheels have paint all peeling. The tire installer broke one of the wheel locks when they put the tires on. Small dent on the drivers side low in front of the rear tire.rest of the body and glass are fine."

AWD Sienna with 193,993 miles. The mini van has been off of the road since Feb 2013 due to a bad transmission that's why I'm selling for parts or repair as it has a lot of good parts, plus a lot of expensive new parts.

Brand new radiator 1 month old (prior Feb 2013 when I took it off of the road). 2 brand new Bridgestone B380 run flats with 7 days of wear on the rear (prior Feb 2013 when I took it off of the road), still has the yellow paint dot on the rear tires. The front tires were purchased in Sept 2012 as well as new front and rear catalytic converters which are part of the exhaust manifolds. Also has a new stainless flex pipe after the manifolds going into the exhaust pipe.
Interior has normal wear for 200k miles and 9 years. Steel wheels have paint all peeling. The tire installer broke one of the wheel locks when they put the tires on. Small dent on the drivers side low in front of the rear tire.
rest of the body and glass are fine.

I spent $2,900 in 2012 plus another $700 the beginning of this year before the transmission went. Lots of good parts to resell or just drop in a transmission and go another 100k.

Selling AS IS, and local pickup only. You need to get it with a ramp truck. You can hear it run smooth and the transmission whine.

Toyota sells 3-millionth Prius

Sun, 07 Jul 2013

Three generations in sixteen years and more than three million units sold worldwide - as of the end of June, those are the stats on the Toyota Prius. Even though Toyota says Prius sales might not reach the goal of 250,000 units this year, the little hybrid that could still doesn't have any problem flying off dealer lots. The second-generation Prius sold 1.2 million examples in its eight-year lifespan, and the third generation, introduced in 2009, has sold 1.7 million examples in just four years.
Toyota is also touting its investment in future powertrains, some 790 billion yen ($7.9 billion US) on research and development into new platforms and components, and "environmental technology development."
The press release below has more details, the future undoubtedly has more Priuses Prii in it.

Japan offering $20,000 incentives for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles

Wed, Jul 23 2014

That tailwind Toyota may be feeling in Japan won't be from a stiff breeze off the northern Pacific Ocean. The Japanese automaker is getting ready to start selling its first production hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle in its native country next year. And the government is ponying up real big in incentives, Reuters says. The Japanese government will provide incentives worth about $20,000 per fuel-cell vehicle, Reuters reports, citing Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. That sort of government money will bring Toyota's first hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle to the customer at under $50,000. Just so we're clear, Japan's incentives for battery-electric vehicles top out at about $8,500. That sound you hear is a bunch of Nissan executives tearing their hair out. Last month, Toyota said the price for the fuel-cell sedan would be about $69,000 in Japan, and while the company hasn't priced it for US consumption, the word's out that the car may be in the $50,000 range stateside. The fuel-cell sedan, which has a full-tank range of about 300 miles, goes on sale in Japan next April and will start sales in Europe and the US next summer. Honda is also debuting its first production fuel-cell vehicle next year, so Toyota's got company among automakers who are probably all raising a glass and saying "kampai" to the Japanese government right about now.

Scion FR-S Convertible (in Toyota GT86 form) spied in South Africa

Fri, 15 Feb 2013

Though the eventual existence of a convertible version of the Toyota GT86 (and its Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ versions for America) is a no-brainer, we've yet to get a glimpse of the real-deal car until now.
Spotted in Cape Town, South Africa, of all places, this completely undisguised GT86 convertible seems to be in a remarkably advanced state of development. The image seen here was obviously sniped from quite a distance and without the aid of a powerful lens, but we can still make out a production-ready looking piece of rear bodywork for the convertible top to hide away in, as well as a functioning trunk lid. It's hard to make out with any certainty, based on this evidence, but there does seem to be space retained behind the front seats for two, small rear chairs.
With the first car spotted, we'd expect to seem some more and better images of it flow through in the near future, and if not, Toyota has already confirmed a concept version for next month's Geneva Motor Show, dubbed FT-86 Open, so stay tuned. For now, click through to the FT86Club.com forum to have a slightly closer look at the images.
