Fayetteville, Tennessee, United States

I am selling a very good SUV. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with this car. I wouldn't be afraid to jump in ANYTIME and go ANYWHERE in it. It is a One owner, never been smoked in, and garage kept. Also adult driven. This is my wife's dai...ly driver so the miles will go up slightly until sold. As of today it has 151,226 miles. All maintenance is documented and present. The oil was changed at or close to every 5,000 miles. Everything works great. It has the 4.7 L V-8 and is 2WD. The book value per KBB.com is $7,426. I am asking below book price because I need it gone. I will not GIVE it away and NO trades. For the options it is loaded with leather, 3rd row seating for up to 8 people comfortably. The driver seat shows some signs of wear but is still ok. The 3rd row can easily be removed for extra cargo space. It has power everything like power antenna, that extends and retracts when the radio is turned on or off, power front seats, steering, brakes, windows, door locks with keyless entry,, sliding sun roof, and rear window, that works of f the keyless remote. Has good cold ac for the front and also has rear climate control for the rear of the vehicle. Good hot heat for front and rear. Comes with a 6 disc JBL sound system. Has all the factory safety features. The outside is in pretty good shape with the exception of the passenger's side doors. Thanks to a deer that decided to run into the side of it. there are 2 small dents on both doors. I know the metal is not creased and may can be knocked out from the inside. but are at the very bottom of the doors. The tires are in good shape with approx. 30 to 40% tread life left. Brakes are very good. I put drilled and slotted rotors (racing type) all around, so you never have to worry about having the rotors turned. I also have the factory rotors if you would like them but they do need to be turned. Feel free to ask any questions. You can call but I can respond to texts quicker. 2FIVE6-FIVE27-00NINE5. Toyota produces millionth truck in Texas

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

After going online in 2006, Toyota's San Antonio, Texas truck plant has just built its one-millionth vehicle, the 2014 Tundra 1794 Edition you see above. The plant originally focused on just the Tundra pickup, but the smaller Tacoma started rolling off the line there in 2010, as well.
Fittingly, the 1794 Edition (a new premium trim level for 2014) pays homage to the property on which the Toyota plant now resides - a ranch that was founded in 1794. Scroll down for the official press release for the plant's milestone, and be sure to check out the full gallery of Tundra 1794 Edition images as well.

Toyota aims to build autonomous car around 2020 [w/videos]

Tue, Oct 6 2015

The race is on to get increasingly sophisticated forms of autonomous driving technology on the road, and brands like Tesla are bringing these solutions to some drivers now. But as one of the world's largest automakers, it's no surprise to see Toyota competing in the field, as well. By 2020, the company thinks a person could be largely unnecessary for freeway trips. With a suite of tech called the Highway Teammate, a modified Lexus GS is already showing what's possible. Using a combination of millimeter wave radar, LIDAR, and cameras, the GS gets a full view of the road, and software processes all of the info to make decisions. The result is a ride on the freeway without human interaction. The system can merge, change lanes, make passes, take curves, and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles. Accurate map data is a necessity to make this work, so the system currently only being tested on Tokyo's Shuto Expressway. While Highway Teammate might not be the best name, it accurately communicates the way Toyota thinks of the tech. The company is making big investments in artificial intelligence to assist drivers, not completely replace them. You can see the system in action in the video below, and the second clip's gravely serious narrator explains the company's idea of having a fully connected road someday. New Toyota Test Vehicle Paves the Way for Commercialization of Automated Highway Driving Technologies Toyota City, Japan, October 6, 2015-Toyota has been testing a new automated driving test vehicle called Highway Teammate, with the aim of launching related products by around 2020. In addition to demonstrating the capabilities of next-generation safety technologies, the vehicle represents Toyota's view of the evolving driver-car relationship in the age of artificial intelligence. Toyota believes that interactions between drivers and cars should mirror those between close friends who share a common purpose, sometimes watching over each other and sometimes helping each other out. Toyota refers to this approach as the Mobility Teammate Concept, and Highway Teammate represents an important first effort to give form to this concept.

Toyota to sell hot-pink Crown in Japan

Sun, 11 Aug 2013

Akio Toyoda is doing a pretty decent job at the helm of the Toyota empire. This is the man, after all, that declared that Toyota would get new sports cars, and that they needed to be, not should be, rear-wheel drive. We can respect that. Toyoda is also trying to do away with his company's conservative styling and bring edgier vehicles to market.
Toyota's designers have done just that, although perhaps they went a bit too far. In November, Toyota debuted its fourteenth-generation Crown with a bling-bling fascia that makes Lexus' spindle grille look as conservative as a three-piece suit, and a retina-searing pink paintjob. See, in Japan, the Crown is to Japan's older crowd what the 2002 Buick Park Avenue is to America's senior citizens. As Automotive News reports, the idea with the pink was to draw attention to the grille, but it was originally intended as a debut item, only.
Now, Toyota is actually planning to offer the electric fuchsia Crown for sale to regular buyers. Interested parties will have from September 1st to September 30th to place an order for the big sedan. According to the AN report, Toyoda said to reporters at the debut, "My initial reaction was: 'You're kidding! Please, not pink." We wish they were kidding.
