2007 Rav4 Limited V6 4wd W/ Premium Warranty on 2040-cars
Carmel, Indiana, United States
2007 RAV4 LIMITED V6 4WD W/ PREMIUM WARRANTY ONE OWNER VEHICLE, WITH ALL MANUALS, ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER, AND WARRANTY. I purchased this car new in 2007. I had it custom ordered with the 3.5L V6 269hp engine, Limited trim, four wheel drive, and factory installed tow hitch. This has been my wife’s daily drive and weekend warrior. Aside from having full-time 4wd, it also has vehicle stability control, traction control, and hill decent mode. We have used the Rav to get us to work in the snow this past winter, we take it on weekend getaways, and pick-up various items like a couch and a dryer. They no longer make the Rav4 in a V6 (in 2007 this was the third fastest vehicle in Toyota’s line-up) and the no longer offer the “push-button” 4wd option (give you piece of mind when entering hazardous conditions). In December of 2012, I purchased a 4yr/48K Vehicle Protection Plan back by Costco. The coverage is good until 117,000 miles or December of 2016 (whichever comes first). As I understand it, the Premium Care warranty covers everything from interior electronics to major components like the engine/transmission. There is a zero deductible, rental car coverage, and roadside assistance. I have found this car to be very comfortable. Thanks to the Limited trim, you get power driver seat with lumbar support, Bluetooth phone connectivity, premium JBL sound system, dual climate zones, power slide and tilt sunroof, leather wrapped steering wheel, cargo organizer. Uncommon to many Rav4s this vehicle comes with a tow pack w/ factory installed tow hitch, tinted windows, roof rack, hill decent assist, alloy wheels. Send me an email, txt or call. Serious inquires only. This is a stand out vehicle with hard to find options and being sold private party. |

Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015
Tue, Feb 11 2014Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper. For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011. The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors. While the adoption of SAE J2807 will be helpful for light-duty customers, those interested in bigger trucks will still be left with differing standards. There is no sign of the new tow standards being adopted for the heavy-duty market.
Race Recap: 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans defines 'endurance'
Mon, 16 Jun 2014Commenting on the rush of events that rocked beginning and end of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Paul Truswell of Radio Le Mans said "the race is about the ability to endure, not just the ability of drivers to do what they do for a long time." The entire race machine, all the way down to the pit boards and radios, has to survive the stress and abuse of the entire day. This was the race to prove those words.
There were two Toyotas, two Porsches and three Audis, five of the seven led the race at some point, six of the seven ran in the top three. Toyota will be hugely disappointed that it didn't win when its car and drivers were so, so strong, but they gave Audi the kind of scare we haven't seen since the best of Peugeot's days, and Toyota did a better job of it even in the loss. Porsche blew away everyone's expectations, falling 3.5 hours short of a fairy tale ending that would have made Disney cry.
But Le Mans doesn't really do fairy tales. Well, not that fairy tale. Audi's Twitter handle during the event was #welcomechallenges. As usual, Le Mans answered for the entire field.
2014 Toyota Camry to get 'significant' attention?
Sun, 24 Nov 2013With competition from Ford, Chevrolet, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda and Nissan mounting, Toyota is getting set to unveil a refreshed version of its Camry sedan a mere two years after it was fully redesigned.
According to a report from Bloomberg, Toyota's move to freshen the still young Camry comes as it seeks to retain its US sales crown in the midsize segment. That desperation has lead to increased incentives and fleet sales in a bid to keep its title, all while trying to keep pace with a slew of very competent competitors.
"It's safe to say we'll be doing something with it," Bill Fay, group vice president of the Toyota brand in the US, told Bloomberg during last week's LA Auto Show. "We'll be paying significant attention to Camry next year."
