This is a one owner 2002 Toyota Prius. It runs and drives 100%, has a clean AutoCheck and is being sold with no reserve. The 1.5L four cylinder electric/gas hybrid engine purrs along without a miss or fluid loss. The hybrid system works perfectly. No "check engine" or hybrid warning lights. The system is charging and assisting as required and the auto stop engages when stopped. The brakes, steering and suspension are working with no issues. No exhaust leaks. The exterior is a glossy blue. There are no major dents or dings. You might the typical scratches of a dark color. No body rust. The tires, on factory alloy wheels, have about 50% tread (see pic). The windshield is chip or crack free. The lights and lenses are bright with no cracks. The interior is gray cloth seats and carpet. No rips, holes or wear areas on either the carpet or seats. All the power options such as windows, side mirrors, cruise control, etc. work as designed. There is a factory sound system with CD. It has a factory navigation but needs the nav disc which can be obtained online or from Toyota. This is a great hybrid for the cost conscious driver. It gets the same fuel efficiency of 50+ MPG as the newer, high priced models. There are absolutely no mechanical issues with this vehicle and no indication of any impending problems. The new owner will be able to drive it home, with confidence, no matter where they live. This quality one owner Prius is being sold by a Maryland Used Car Dealer. This 1,000-horsepower, rear-drive Toyota Corolla iM could be yours
Tue, Feb 19 2019We were amazed last year when we learned that Papadakis Racing built Fredric Aasbo a rear-drive, 1,000-horsepower 2017 Toyota Corolla iM for drifting. Now we're amazed that the car could end up in the hands of an average person, because the car is currently going for auction on Bring A Trailer. Just as a quick recap for those that might have missed hearing about the car last year, the little Toyota hatch features a turbocharged and nitrous-injected 2.7-liter 2AR-series Toyota four-cylinder. Variants of that engine are found in older Toyota RAV4s and Camrys. According to Bring A Trailer, the engine hits 1,000 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque when running on E85. Power goes through a four-speed dog box manual transmission to the rear wheels. Now there is the question of what you would do with such a mad machine. One possibility is to run it again in the Formula Drift series the car was built for. Bring A Trailer reports that it should be legal for the 2019 season, and with extra parts and wheels, you would be in a good spot to get started. The seller does note that all the graphics and sponsor decals would have to be removed if it's entered again. Even if you didn't run it in a professional drift series, it would probably be a fun car to use in more grassroots drift events or even just as a track car of some sort. There's also one more potential option that would be totally absurd. You see, it appears Papdakis Racing started with a factory-built, street legal Corolla iM that could have easily gone on to see a life of ferrying a young couple or family around in efficient, affordable style. As such, it should have a VIN that could be used to register and insure the car without too much trouble. It even still has functional lights. As long as you're in a state that doesn't have modification or emissions restrictions, it could be possible to make this a street car. Now we're not positive on this, so do your due diligence before plunking down cash for it, but it does seem possible, and it would be crazy and awesome. Related Video:

Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show next week, all of which were developed by and for people who live active lifstyles. Four of them are the result of the Toyota Dream Build Challenge, which tasked a team of athletes and vehicle customization shops to build Toyota sedans, pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles in seven weeks that would enhance performance in their respective sports.
We'll lead off with the CamRally Camry, developed by NASCAR driver Parker Kligerman, Kyle Busch Motorsports and Mooresville, NC shop Detroit Speed, Inc. for the Dream Build Challenge, because it appeals to us gearheads (sure, call us one-sided). It was totally transformed into a rally vehicle, and it has to be the most badass Camry we can remember seeing. The sedan is always a bit flaccid-looking in stock form, but the CamRally's wide body and other exterior upgrades and the turbocharger make us forget about that, as do its stripped, painted interior and Sparco race seat.
