Here is a 2010 Toyota Prius III.  Yes it has 23,362 miles on it and by the time it sells it will have a little more miles on it because I take it on 25 mile or so trips every 2 weeks or so to keep the battery and fluids circulated.  It is the Blizzard Pearl White color that is in demand.  The complete drain train is under warranty until 60,000 miles or 5 years.  The hybrid battery system has 100,000 miles or 8 years unless you live in California then you will get 150,000 miles or 10 years.  This has the very sought after solar sunroof.  The vehicle does have a navigation system in it also.  The car was completely checked out by Toyota for me and everything is A OK.  The vehicle was a one owner vehicle from Jupiter Florida and I purchased it December 2013 and titled it with a Pennsylvania title and I live in North Carolina where the care resides now.  The vehicle was never up in Pennsylvania just titled there for your information because of the business that I have there.  It has a few road chips in the paint here and there especially around the bumpers which is to be expected for a used car.  The inside has never been smoked in and there is no tears or foul odors inside.  Bid with confidence and all sales will be final however it does have the Toyota warranty as I stated.  Vehicle is listed locally for sale therefore I have the right to end the auction early.  Payment will be certified cashiers check, money order or bank wire transfer and I will not release the vehicle until the funds clear my bank. photo IMG_0899_zpsa108bac2.jpg photo IMG_0900_zps99ec317a.jpg photo IMG_0901_zps8b7c1f1b.jpg photo IMG_0902_zps1375540e.jpg photo IMG_0904_zpsb4cda066.jpg photo IMG_0905_zps060b25aa.jpg photo IMG_0906_zpsdd65cfc3.jpg photo IMG_0907_zps46f5e395.jpg photo IMG_0908_zps3d7dbeea.jpg photo IMG_0909_zps3cabb1d3.jpg photo IMG_0910_zpscaa65422.jpg photo IMG_0913_zps0dca4bea.jpg

The Mercedes-Benz S-500 Plug-In Hybrid has earned an Environmental Certificate from the TUV Sud technical inspection authority. The award is based on a lifecycle assessment of the vehicle. Daimler is expanding its production capacity for lithium-ion batteries. The company is investing around 100 million euros in its subsidiary Deutsche ACCUmotive, who will provide batteries for the electric Smart Fortwo and Forfour, as well as various Mercedes-Benz models. The groups called for the standard at the International Conference Automotive 48 V Power Supply Systems, saying that the 48V standard for mild hybrids would help make the systems more affordable. Toyota explains what names like Camry and Yaris mean

Mon, 20 Oct 2014

Ever wonder where automakers get the names for their cars? You're not alone. The sitcom Seinfeld opened Episode 94 - the one where George Costanza buys a Chrysler LeBaron instead of a Volvo - with a bit about nameplates like Integra, Supra and Impreza. Toyota, clearly, is not exempt from choosing evocative but enigmatic names for its models, and now the Japanese automaker is taking us through the etymology of some of its nameplates.
Names like Supra may require no clarification, but what about Camry? That comes from the Japanese word kanmuri for Crown (which is, incidentally, the name of another Toyota sedan).
Yaris? According to the company, it's "an amalgamation of words from Greek mythology and German. In Greek mythology, 'Charis' was a symbol of beauty and elegance. Toyota swapped the 'Ch' with 'Ya' - German for 'yes' - to symbolize the perceived reaction of European markets to the car's styling."

Toyota officially outsells GM, VW through first three quarters

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

When it comes to global vehicle deliveries, the term "Big Three" doesn't apply to Ford, Chrysler and General Motors, but instead Toyota, GM and Volkswagen - in that order - through the third quarter of 2013. Toyota sold 7.41-million vehicles through the third quarter and is on track to deliver more vehicles this year than GM and VW, which sold 7.25-million and 7.03-million, respectively, through the same period, Bloomberg reports.
During the third quarter, from July to September, Toyota's 2.5-million deliveries helped to push it higher than its closest competitors this year. In that period, GM delivered 2.4-million vehicles while VW posted 2.33-million deliveries.
Part of the reason behind Toyota's and other Japanese automakers resurgence globally is the weakened yen, which can be attributed to policies made by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe since he took office in December 2012. Many refer to those monetary easing policies as 'Abenomics,' which has led some, such as Ford, to call Japan a currency manipulator and is a big reason why the US is lobbying to oppose Japan's entry into the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
