New Hybrid Battery that cost $3000 to install. So this Prius is good for another 120,000 to 150,000 miles or more. Be careful when you buy a used Prius with the original hybrid battery - you are likely going to have to replace that battery sooner rather later (and it will run you around $3,000 or more.)

This 2006 Toyota Prius is great condition, the mileage are mostly interstate miles (commuting to Atlanta). Mostly garaged, Harman Kardon Stereo iPhone/iPod connection to car speakers with a dashboard music control. Also separately mp3 auxiliary jack. Tires have at least 70% thread left on them. Great mileage at 45MPG.

Tired of "burning" good money on gas on your old clunker. Want to just wave at the gas station as you drive by? Why not try a hybrid vehicle and Toyota Prius is the leader of the pack on this category.

This is a 2006 Toyota Prius hybrid car. It is rated for 45 MPG. It is a four door 5 passenger vehicle. The body is in good shape, all controls work and we have added a Harman Kardon tuner/player ($299 installation cost) so you can play your iPhone 4 or prior model and ipod touch music on the car's stereo speakers. Note we are going to leave with you the iPhone 3GS 32GB (see photo) that we use to play our music on the Harman Kardon (Another $325 value).

Has a new HV hybrid battery that should be good for at least another 100,000 miles (cost: $1500 battery and $275 installation). Note - the original Prius battery that comes with any Prius is only rated for about $150,000 miles.

The tires still has about 65%  thread on them so you should be good for at least 20,000 miles. The mileage on the car (163,000) are mostly highway/freeway (I-20 miles) as I used to commute to Atlanta a lot as a consultant. Again the HV hybrid battery is new as the original one on the vehicle are rated for only about 150,000 miles, so with the new HV battery, this Prius should be good for another 100,000 miles.

Additional add-ons you are getting:
1. New HV battery (should be good for another 100,000 miles  ----  $3000 (cost to install)
2. Harman Kardon ipod stereo music player that uses the cars speakers (with small monitor on dash board)  ---- $325

4. TOTAL ESTIMATED  ADD-ONs  $3325 (free to you)

Call with questions or to schedule a test drive - 205-482-0822. Please note: this is also listed for sale locally, so seller reserves the right to cancel this listing at any time. Also seller will give a $100 credit towards a scratch on the panel below right back door (hardly noticeable.)

Which sinister Scion FR-S would you buy?

Tue, May 17 2016

Look beyond the utility. Look beyond the amenities, the infotainment, the hidden storage cubbies, and the 72-way adjustable seats. Yes, even the seats. Outside all the fluff of today's cars, there's a blank canvas waiting for an artist; cars can really come alive with a few tastefully placed modifications. These two Scion FR-S sports cars surely fall into that category, and when they both turned up on eBay, we figured we'd ask the question — which would you rather buy? The track-centric red car or the brutally simple black car ? Internet, you be the judge. The "widebody" look — with its outrageous fender flares and visible rivets—isn't for everyone, but this 2013 Scion FR-S happens to pull it off quite well. According to the listing, the pumped-up fenders, splitter, and additional aero bits are courtesy of legendary widebody purveyor Rocket Bunny. Overall, the racy body mods add a significant twinge of aggression to the once docile FR-S... a notion that's echoed underneath the hood. The heady Scion FR-S leverages an HKS supercharger system and exhaust, paired with a set of Buddy Club racing coilover shocks, Bee-R wheels wrapped in Yokohama ADVAN rubber, and a new engine management system. All in all, this looks to be one fierce track and street monster. RELATED: Check Out This Wild Toyota GT86 Wagon Concept But whereas the red car is a shout, the black car is a growl. Confident, powerful, yet restrained. The black 2013 Scion FR-S sports a sultry Varis Arising 2 body kit with carbon fiber accents lining its front lip and boot lid, as well as a brilliant set of projector headlights and Tom's taillights. The icing on the cake is the set of Work M1R gunmetal grey wheels, which come fitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. There's no supercharger in play here, but the Scion's 2.0-liter boxer engine does breathe a bit easer thanks new ceramic coated exhaust headers and a high-flow catalytic converter. It can also handle a bit better too, courtesy of sporty Cusco Street Zero 3 coilover shocks. If we're honest, both are quite jaw-dropping in their own unique styles. But which do you prefer? They then discuss the Lexus RX350 and why it's likely an ideal premium crossover for a large percentage of buyers. From there, Greg and Jeremy cover some recent news items, including the current state of BMW's coupes and rumors that Toyota's next Land Cruiser will lose its V8 engine in favor of a turbocharged V6. Then it's time to go over some of our current favorite spring beers before turning to the mailbag and spending some listener's money. 2014 Toyota Highlander

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

Midsize crossovers like the Toyota Highlander tend to play a thankless role in the life of today's modern family.
That's really too bad. With the ability to hold several hyperactive kids and tons of cargo while keeping everyone safe and comfortable in all kinds of climate conditions day in and day out, they're true heroes in the lives of hundreds of thousands of families across the country. Yet their car-apathetic owners often immediately forget about them as soon as their work is done. And nearly all midsize crossovers are thoroughly ignored by enthusiasts whose eyes begin to glaze over at first mention of the phrase "third row."
Toyota is looking to soften the blow somewhat by giving its midsize crossover, the Highlander, a big redesign for the 2014 model year. With a bold new look, updated suspension and a refreshed interior focused on comfort and convenience, Toyota aims to make the Highlander sportier to drive and more striking in appearance, because, as the marketing team explains, "families are going places and they want to get there in style."
