Please look over phots very carefully and feel free to request additional photos if you see something you want a closer look at. Ask any questions BEFORE bidding."

I bought this van on ebay about 5 years ago down in Mass. I purposefully searched for the rear wheel drive Previa so that I would get good mileage. On one trip to Florida I got 33mpg! New Alternator when I bought the van. PO did a lot of work on front end prior to sale. I replaced all 4 rotors & pads & struts $$$$. It had sat in a field for 2 years before I bought it!  I used this van primarily as tool storage while I refit my sailboat. It made 2 trips to Florida & back and one trip to Syracuse for the State Fair. I think my total mileage for the 5 years is around 5 - 8,000 miles.
I changed the fluids to Amsoil and Amsoil oil filter when first got it. Last oil change was last year.  Vehicle burns no oil runs like a top. Van has been sitting all winter. Some rust on rotors will free up completely w/ driving. Please note in pictures that the wheels are not stock. I have the original alloys & all 4 caps with 2 Michelin & 2 Esteem tires mounted. Those tires had some weather checking on them and I had to do a run to Florida. I wasn't comfortable to drive them at sustained highway speeds so I mounted these other tires/wheels. They go with the van if buy it now is reached. Otherwise it is your responsibility to change back to original whells/tires and leave the other 4.  Please see photos for tire tread. It's been a great little van, but I no longer need it. The boat project is complete and in Florida. These vans are mid engine and are legendary for running forever. The wiper blade inserts need to be replaced. I bought 2, but lost one of them. So it's up to you to get 1 more replacement. The Toyota dealer down on Central Ave was extremely helpful and the most reasonable price of all the dealerships within 100 miles. One more thing - the door handle to the slider needs to be replaced.
Someone is going to get a nice Previa that has had all the suspension /brake work done, and it should run a long long time with reasonable care.
I highly recommend the use of Amsoil products. Several of my daily drivers got close to 400k over the years thanks to Amsoil lubricants.   Contact me if you want to see it in person.  Good luck bidding and please review all pics ask all questions before bidding

I just discovered another defect that I wasn't aware of. While taking the photos I discovered the rear moon roof had developed a couple of cracks over the winter. (Snow load)? At least it doesn't leak at all.  I would definitely know if it leaks because of the monsoon rains we've had in the Adks this summer. The interior is dry as a bone. Please see recent photo addition to view cracks. With these photos I took today I was trying to show tread condition on all tires and the worst rust spots so that no one will be surprised. Thank you for viewing my van and bid with confidence.

Toyota reveals Tokyo Motor Show concepts

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Toyota is getting ready for the Tokyo Motor Show later this month, and to tease us, the Japanese automaker has released photos and information about the concept vehicles it'll be bringing to the show. In all, there'll be five world premieres from Toyota (six if you split the Voxy and Noah minivan concepts), including some vehicles that'll be released in the near future, and others that need more time to incubate.
Let's get the world premieres out first. Toyota is a pioneer of gasoline-electric hybrids, but it's also pursuing hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicles. The clearest indication of this is the FCV concept, a hydrogen-powered sedan in the same vein as the the FCV-R that will bow at the auto show. (Read more about the FCV, here.)
Other world debuts include the FV2 concept (pictured), a unique, one-seat future vehicle that emphasizes the "Fun to Drive" philosophy; the JPN TAXI concept, a next-generation taxi concept designed with Japanese hospitality in mind; and the Voxy and Noah concepts, next-generation minivans that differ most in exterior design cues and are scheduled to launch in the Japanese market in early 2014.

A new Toyota MR2? We want to believe

Thu, Mar 9 2017

In the wake of a busy Geneva auto show, the rumor mill is churning, and the latest grist involves one of the most beloved Toyota sports cars of all time. EVO reports that Tetsuya Tada, the chief of the Scion FR-S/Toyota 86 project and a hard-liner about sportscar priorities (light and nimble, but with modest horsepower), wants a third vehicle for Toyota's nascent sporty lineup. Currently, we know there's a Supra-like vehicle in the works, being co-developed with BMW, and the 86 is sticking around. Tada said he'd like a third sportscar to compliment the two we know about, and that he wants it soon. A quick bit of history: Toyota's classic sporty lineup had three components. The most visible was the Supra, whose power and prestige grew as the car evolved from a cushy personal tourer to a high-horsepower, high-technology icon. The Celica was its Clark Kent, more mild mannered but also more accessible and affordable. The third was the MR2, a mid-engined go-kart that lasted for three distinct generations. Each had its charms, and all have their fans. When Tada says that he wants three sportscars in the lineup, we already know about the Supra successor, and the 86 is already filling the Celica's role, so the blank is easy to fill. It doesn't sound like Tada spoke the word "MR2" to EVO, or hinted that the car would be mid-engined, but Tada doesn't seem to say anything without purpose. Whatever the layout, this third car – if it comes to fruition – will probably play a role similar to the MR2 in relation to its stablemates. To translate: it'll likely be even lighter and more nimble, and probably less powerful, than the 86. The closest real-world analogue to the pure MR2 ideal is the Honda S660, a mid-engined Kei roadster that's on sale in Japan right now. It's light, small, and powered by a 0.66-liter inline-three. Toyota could decide to directly compete with the S660, borrow an engine from its small-car specialist subsidiary Daihatsu, and produce a mid-engined MR2. Another possibility, even simpler from Toyota's perspective, would be to adapt the existing Daihatsu Copen roadster. Sure, it's front-engine and front-wheel drive, but it's a small, light roadster. And even better, it sells abroad with a larger 1.3-liter engine. Restyle it slightly, perhaps to resemble the S-FR concept of a couple years ago, and it's an off-the-shelf solution. The S-FR itself is a third possibility.

Toyota GT86, Scion FR-S sales disappointing worldwide?

Fri, 21 Feb 2014

Okay, folks - it appears we've got a problem. The Toyota GT86, Europe's counterpart to our own beloved Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S coupes, is apparently not selling too well. This, according to Toyota's European Vice President of Research and Development, Gerald Killman, is what's limiting plans for additional variants of the rear-drive coupe.
"A faster version of that car would be at the top of most people's wish lists, but like the cabriolet, it is hard to justify a business case to push either model into production based on the current sales," Killman told AutoExpress. "Personally, I think that engine could use a little bit more," he added.
More troubling is that slow sales aren't limited to the Euro-spec car, with Killman claiming that the GT86 have been missing sales targets in major markets around the globe. It may not be that the US is one of those major markets, though. Scion's Vice President, Doug Murtha, tells Autoblog that his brand is happy with the sales of its version of the GT86, the FR-S. 18,000 units were sold last year, which Murtha says is "generally in line with original expectations for the car."
