up for sale is my 1993 toyota mr2 turbo! it has 90,616 original miles and is in very good shape! Runs and drives well with no known issues. The body and paint is in great shape considering its a 22 year old vehicle (please keep that in mind) it has some small scratches etc and a few small areas where it could use a little touch up paint but all in all its in great shape. The interior is beautiful as you can see! Very clean with very little wear, still has the original floor mats in good shape. T Tops do NOT leak as i power washed the car yesterday still no drips inside. Clutch is strong, motor runs as it should, the engine is stock minus a cat back exhaust, never had a boost controller on it to my knowledge. It does have a nice set of konig wheels with almost new rubber , upgraded cross drilled rotors and pads. All in all this is a great example of a low mileage rare 1993 mr2 turbo that needs nothing but someone to drive it. Also YES this car does have the very rare factory LSD transmission option! This is a rare car with low miles and i hope it goes to a good home, i just have too many toys and one needs to go. This is being offered at no reserve and the highest bidder wins! good luck and thanks for looking.  The vin is jt2sw22n0p0079345

Automakers donating money, vehicles and supplies to Oklahoma tornado relief effort

Fri, 24 May 2013

Judging by the destruction the Oklahoma City area experienced earlier this week, residents are going to need a lot of help in coming months. Fortunately, a number of automakers - including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota - have stepped up to donate money, supplies and vehicles to aid in the recovery and rebuilding processes.
Here's a quick rundown of which automakers have pitched in and what each contributed so far:
Ford Motor Company has donating $250,000 and a Transit Connect to the American Red Cross, and it will match all other donations made to the Red Cross (up to $250,000) using a special URL tied to the latter's website (link here). Additionally, its local Oklahoma dealers have thrown in an extra $150,000 for the United Way and the automaker will be offering an extra $500 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.

Sports 800 is a progenitor of Toyota performance

Tue, 18 Nov 2014

There's an automotive axiom that claims it's more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow. If that's the case, then pushing a Toyota Sports 800 around must be one of the most exhilarating experiences behind the wheel in the world. With just 800cc of displacement from a two-cylinder boxer engine, the focus is on finesse over outright speed. Still, it's a fantastic page in Toyota's performance history, and Petrolicious takes a ride with a man who owns a meticulously restored 1967 example in its latest video.
The Sports 800 used the classic cost-saving strategy in the auto industry of taking parts from a standard model in the lineup and modifying it into a sports car. In this case that meant borrowing the engine from the plebian Toyota Publica, beefing it up for more power and clothing the whole thing a in beautifully shaped, wind-tunnel-honed body.
The look of these lithe, targa roadsters is the exact opposite of the rather dull styling sometimes associated with Toyota today. Everywhere you look there are louvers, vents or curves to draw the eye. Check out the latest Petrolicious video for a detailed look at the history of this rare model that's largely unknown on this side of the Pacific.

Watch Congress sample Toyota's i-Road 3-wheeler concept

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

Toyota brought its new i-Road, a three-wheeled, all-electric low-speed vehicle that debuted in 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show, to the Capitol for some of our elected officials to test out. As easy as it is to forget that politicians are people, too, it was refreshing to see a human side to many of them as they zipped about one of the Capitol's many meeting rooms.
We'd say their reactions were surprisingly positive. Of course, some were just down there because Toyota is a big presence in their respective districts, but the bulk of the senators and representatives seemed like they just wanted to zip about the makeshift indoor course on the leaning trike.
Take a look below at the video from Bloomberg.
