1991 MR2  What a blast to drive..Fun toy,, wife hates it she think I'am too old for a bright red, 2 seat, mid engine, tee top sports car. I'am not too old and its a BLAST to drive. But  heres your chance.. 2,2 L 4 cyl, 5 speed transmission, Cruise, tilt, tee tops, some wear on driver side seat on the left side, not bad and has nice covers, radio/cd player works but needs trim, ash tray, and shifter boot. paint is good, but a fair amount of clear coat peel, it has been bumped in the rear bumper, if you look at the right rear tail light its a little out of alinment, the handle is off the rear trunk cable I have never opened it, the front opens fine. The tee tops open and seal fine, The car starts, runs, shifts, and stops good, The brakes and cluch feel good. the throttle is senstive and its hard to hold a steady low speed it take a few 100 mile to get used to. work fine at highway speeds A/C don't work it has no belt on A/C pump, BUT tee tops work just fine.it has a little rust, i tried to show it in the pictures. The gauges work fine, lights all work. I have only drivin this car about 400 miles but it seams to be getting about 25 mpg. I bet it would get a lot more if ya keep your foot out of it.. but whats the fun of having a sports car if you drive easy!! And Dang this car is fun. As far as i can tell this car should be good to drive any where. I just put NEW rear tires  and windshield less than 300 miles ago, and the front tires look brand new. its 22 years old don't except a new car.

What to do if the infotainment in your Lexus isn't working

Wed, Jun 8 2016

According to Toyota, "errant data from our traffic and weather data service provider" caused the infotainment systems in 2014-2016 Lexus vehicles and the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser to go into some sort of endless reboot loop. The video above shows what that looks like, in case you're interested. Obviously, it's not good – the malfunction means the audio systems, navigation and climate control systems aren't working properly, and that the hands-free mobile phone function won't work. Apparently, some owners were able to manually fix their cars by disconnecting the battery cables for 10 minutes, which forces the car's computer systems to restart. But Toyota isn't officially suggesting that people take that action. Instead, "Toyota and Lexus owners experiencing these issues should visit their dealer for a complimentary system reset and a confirmation of the system," the automaker said in a statement. It's worth noting that issues with the usability of modern infotainment systems have caused customer satisfaction scores to drop. Lexus, though, has been mostly immune to such complaints, having come in first place in J.D. Power's most recent Vehicle Dependability study. Not that you should automatically trust those findings, anyway... Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Scion trying to build business case for FR-S convertible as Subaru bows out

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

Hope may remain for a convertible version of the Scion FR-S, according to a report from Ward's Auto. You'll recall that rumors were swirling about the feasibility of a rear-drive Toyobaru convertible as early as October, and that back in November, Subaru - which makes the FR-S, Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT86 - essentially nixed the idea of an open-topped variant.
"We make the car, so if we don't make it, it can't happen," brand chief Yasuyuki Yoshinaga told Automotive News, according to Ward's, at the Tokyo Motor Show. "Our engineering department told me that losing the entire roof requires a complete redesign of the structure. It would need a big change."
Despite Yoshinaga-san's arguments against a droptop variant, Toyota is apparently still considering the model. Speaking to media at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, Scion's US vice president, Doug Murtha, hinted that the rear-drive droptop was in the works.

Santa swaps his sleigh for a Ferrari-powered Toyota

Fri, Dec 23 2016

A Ferrari-powered Toyota 86 is sure to garner a bit of attention, as well it should. We've been paying attention throughout this build, so it should be no surprise then that Santa did as well. He's ditched his red sleigh for the Gumout GT4586 in this video. If you've been following along, you know that Ryan Tuerck and Gumout built this completely bonkers machine that's far more exciting than some previous Japanese/Italian mash-up automobiles. Donut Media has been doing their part to document and promote every stage of the process. This new video is filled with the gratuitous amounts of lights, noise, and tire smoke that Donut is known for. We don't know the conversion from horsepower to reindeerpower, but the GT4586 should provide plenty of oomph for Santa's Christmas trek.
