I purchased this car from an estate a few years ago. I didn’t have the opportunity to meet the owner but it is obvious that he treasured this car and took very good care of it.

My desire for new toys is my motivation for selling it at this time although I do so with considerable reluctance. I’ve really enjoyed my time with it.

This car is in excellent condition throughout. Garage kept since new. Purchased in Rochester NY on March 23, 1985.

No sun roof – You can be over 6 ft. tall and still fit in this car.

It comes with original purchase documentation, Toyota service manuals, all service records, several spare oil and air filters, oil drain plugs & gaskets, extra spark plugs, spare light bulbs and all original keys.

Exterior finish is excellent - Glossy paint with no faded or worn areas. There are a few tiny stone chips on the front and a small dent on the drivers side B pillar. (See close up photo) There is a receipt from a body shop for $250.00 for paint on the passenger door & rear panel. Must have been scratched or dinged at some point. Repair looks perfect. There is No Rust anywhere on the vehicle. Interior is like new. No wear or sun damage.

There are no mechanical issues. Runs flawlessly, Pulls strong, Clutch engages smoothly, Shifts solidly and firmly, No 5^th gear “pop-out” issues. No fluid leaks.

The exhaust system was replaced in 2002 by a Toyota dealer with OEM parts

Car is sold where is and as is. Winning bidder is required to provide $1000 deposit within 48 hours of auction close and full balance within 7 days of auction close. Since I'm supposed to know something about cars, it happens all the time: friends and relatives ask me advice about what kind of vehicle they should get. Very often, the only type of vehicle that can check every item on their wish list (e.g., hauls lots of people and stuff, gets good fuel economy, has great crash-test ratings, can take four Great Danes camping, and so on) is a modern minivan... and, of course, nobody wants to hear this. I'm not a minivan person, they will wail, and so they end up with a cramped, fuel-swilling SUV or a not-so-space-efficient minivan-in-disguise CUV. So, is it worth becoming one of those minivan people in order to get the incredible usefulness of these masterpieces of vehicle engineering, or do you hold your head high and drive something that doesn't quite meet your needs? Union to launch Toyota organization drive in Canada

Toyota may be heading toward some labor issues in the Great White North, as employees at a pair of Canadian Toyota factories may be set for a certification vote. The Unifor union, which was the result of a merger last year between the Canadian Auto Workers and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers union, will be holding the vote.
Over 40 percent of the employees at the Woodstock and Cambridge, Ontario factories have signed union cards, cresting the minimum percentage required to instigate a legal certification vote, according to Reuters. The Woodstock factory is responsible for RAV4 production, while Cambridge builds the Lexus RX350 and RX450h, as well as the Toyota Corolla. The two factories employ nearly 7,000 people.
It's unclear when the union will hold a certification vote at the two factories, but what is rather clear are the worker complaints. Employees are concerned about workers being hired on temporary contracts which lack the benefits of full employment, John Aman, head of organizing for Unifor, told Reuters.
