I decide to list my super rare to the USA 85 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ70.  I will not give a BUY IT NOW PRICE, but will entertain all offers up to 24 hours before the end of the auction.   I personally imported this BJ Land Cruiser for my personal enjoyment from Canada from the 1st owner. It was rust proofed every year to withstand the hard weather in Canada. This is the well know bullet proof 3.4L DIESEL engine.  The BJ has an Old Man Emu Full Lift Kit and BFGoodrich All Terrain 33’s. Repainted with Matte Black and had a full undercoating /Rubber coating done by a professional on the in and out. The Interior has been reupholster with a two tone Semi-leather and the carpet is the original one that came with the BJ. The vehicle has never been used for off-roading and it has some rust like any other car from 1985 as seen on the 50+ pictures below. Additional pictures can be provided upon request to serious buyers only.

Vin Number On the Title is : JT3BJ70V8F0002263  ( the vin number on this eBay Listing is a 17 digit vin from one of our other cars because eBay did not allow us to enter a vin with less than 17 digits that is newer than 1982)

**Please Note** To be able to import & register this car in the USA is an extremely difficult process.

#1 To find one in this condition & for under $25K even in South America is extremely difficult

#2 The paperwork and process to authenticate & prove the USA that this is 100% original, non-stolen is all SUPER Difficult and expensive and it took me months to accomplish.  We will provide copies of all the import paper work with the purchase.

Expedition drives from Russia to Canada over North Pole...

Tue, 21 May 2013

No, a Ford Expedition did not drive from Russia to Canada via the North Pole, but that's exactly what a team of intrepid explorers accomplished recently. Using specially-modified buses with massive tires, the group slowly drove 2,485 miles in 70 days over drifting ice, occasionally using a pickaxe to clear a path and staying on guard for chasms that could open up and plunge the team into the frigid arctic waters. Average speeds were about 6 mph, "at the speed of a (farm) tractor." While the big tires technically allowed the buses to float if the need arose, the team preferred to stay out of the water to keep the suspension from getting coated in thick, hard ice. Falling in on foot would mean almost certain death.
According to Phys.org, the buses were powered by Toyota diesel engines, but were built with prototype parts from a previous driving expedition to the North Pole. Right now, the machines are parked in a garage in Canada's Resolute Bay while the the team rests up with family back home. They plan to continue their trek to back across the Bering Straight to Russia. If successful, the team may eventually offer a version of their buses for commercial sale.

Recharge Wrap-up: Toyota FCV ready for production, Nissan tests Leaf-to-Home energy management

Fri, Oct 17 2014

Toyota will begin selling its hydrogen fuel cell vehicle (FCV) in Japan in December. The US and Europe can expect to see the car become available next summer. The FCV, which will likely be called "Mirai" (meaning "future") in Japan, is ready for production ahead of its initial deadline at the end of the fiscal year in March. Toyota planned for annual production of 700 units, but might increase output to meet higher-than-expected demand, which is currently nearing 1,000 units. The cars will mostly be sold in the four cities where a hydrogen fueling infrastructure is already being put in place: Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka. Read more at Nikkei Asian Review. Nissan is testing the Leaf EV as part of an energy management system including "Leaf to Home" technology. The system allows the Leaf to help support the power grid during peak energy usage, or provide backup power to a home or building during outages, particularly in emergencies like natural disasters. Using the Leaf's battery to provide electricity during peak hours would lessen the demand on the grid and make the system work more efficiently. Furthermore, if consumers are compensated for the energy saved by using the Leaf for power during periods of high demand, it could encourage more people to adopt the EV. CDP keeps track of how much companies are disclosing about their impact on global climate change. "The need for data on corporate climate change impacts and strategies to reduce them has never been greater," says CDP CEO Paul Simpson. "For this reason we congratulate those businesses that have achieved a position on CDP's Climate Disclosure Leadership Index." Other perfect scores were earned by Nissan, BMW, Daimler and General Motors. Read more in the press release from Honda below. Scientists at Stanford University have developed a lithium ion battery that can warn users before it overheats. A thin layer of copper between the anode and the layer separating the anode from the cathode acts as a sensor. When it detects lithium buildups from overcharging are approaching the separator, it sends an early alert long before it gets to a point where it would cause a short (which could lead to a fire). The new safety measure could be used in all sorts of battery applications, and not be limited to EVs. Learn more at Phys.org.

Toyota announces two recalls affecting 1M Corolla, Matrix and Lexus IS models

Wed, 30 Jan 2013

The recall bug strikes Toyota again. The automaker has issued a voluntary recall of three models that, in total, represent more than one million units. Around 752,000 2003-2004 Toyota Corolla and Matrix models are being recalled for airbag concerns, while a windshield wiper issue is causing the recall for close to 270,000 Lexus IS sedans from the 2006-2012 model years.
Completely unrelated to the small airbag-related recall issued earlier in the week, the Corolla and Matrix recall is caused by a faulty airbag control module that could potentially short circuit, which could lead to the front airbags or seat belt pretensioners deploying. The Lexus recall is due to a wiper arm nut that wasn't tightened properly, which can cause the wipers to not work when trying to clear heavy buildup such as snow.
Scroll down for a press release that includes more information, as well as details about how owners can contact the manufacturer directly.
