Moving forces sale of this very rare Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series,I purchased This beauty 2.5 years ago from a private owner in Texas.Within the last (3) years the following features were added to this cruiser: New A/C compressor, expansion valve, condensor, radiator, water pump, thermostat, plugs and wires, distributor and belts. The A/C blows cold.Additional Add ons include:Ole Man Emu full suspension system, crossdrilled slotted upgraded front and rear brakes, performance exhaust system,K&N Air filter,Yakima roof rack with wind deflector.Options work as intended including: A/C,P/W,P/L,Radio,Sunroof,F+R Wipers,Power Antenna, differential locking system, transmission, interior and exterior lighting. The entire interior was removed by the former owner to install sound deadening materials in floor and doors, this truck is extremely quiet. Please see vehicle condition segment to understand corrosion issues.I have extensive service tickets from the previous owners, including one from 2005 ,when the owner spent $668.00 to have the fuel injectors cleaned and recalibrated. This Landcruiser was serviced since it was new, with no limitations on cost.Vehicle has never been smoked in,and the warm and comfortable blue cloth is in absolutely stunning condition.Only 10,000 miles on a brand new set of 285 Yokohama Radial All Terrain Tires. No stains,or rips, on the seats,or the headliner, and the third row folding seats look like they have never been sat in.Every time I have driven this beauty,I get compliments, and thumbs-up from other drivers,so if you are timid, and do not appreciate attention to your vehicle,I suggest you look into a newer cookie cutter body style, that you will most certainly pay over $60,000.00 for.If you look at my feedback you will see that I am an honest seller, and if your intentions,or feedback record indicate to me that you are not credible,I will reserve the right to terminate your bid,or offer. If you have any questions please ask through EBAY ask a question section. If you prefer to speak to me,you can reach me at (217) 521-0456,and as a senior citizen I ask that you call only between 8:00 to 7:00 CST. Toyota Camry, Lexus RX to get aluminum parts

Tue, 23 Sep 2014

Ah, aluminum. The lightweight, strong material has long held a following within the premium ranks, but as Ford prepares to launch an aluminum F-150, the material is gaining acceptance among more mainstream automakers. Toyota is one such brand, with a new report indicating that the Japanese giant will add aluminum bits and bobs to some of its upcoming vehicles.
These won't be full, aluminum-intensive treatments like the F-150, however. Automotive News reports that an aluminum hood and liftgate will be coming to the 2016 Lexus RX, and following that, the Camry will get a bonnet built from Element 13 for model year 2018.
As AN points out, Toyota is no stranger to aluminum, using it in Japanese-built models like the Prius and Scion FR-S. The RX and Camry, though, will mark the first time the company's North American factories will use the material, and they'll do so on a significantly larger scale, owing to the higher volumes that the Camry and RX represent.

Toyota Auris gets new Touring Sports variant

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Toyota showed off the Touring Sports version of the Auris next to the newly introduced Auris Hybrid at last year's Paris Motor Show, but didn't say much about it. Six months later, just ahead of the Geneva Motor Show, the company is crowing about that wagon going on sale with the Hybrid Synergy Drive, creating the Auris Touring Sports Hybrid.
The hauling version of the exceptionally popular Auris hatchback doesn't just add a hybrid wagon to the compact segment, Toyota says it offers class-leading load capacity of 1,658 liters with the Easy-Flat one-touch rear seats down. With the rear seats up, it offers 530 liters. The little big gulp is possible because the hybrid batteries have been placed under the rear seats instead of being in the luggage area.
It looks the same as the hatchback save for the fact that it's 285 millimeters (11.2 inches) longer behind the C pillar, has a redesigned tailgate and a lower load floor. Engines beyond the hybrid will match the rest of the lineup: 1.3-liter and 1.6-liter gasoline engines and a 1.4-liter D-4D diesel. There's a chance we'll see it in Geneva, if we don't there's a press release below to tell you all about it.

Autocar pits McLaren MP4-12C against turbo Toyota GT86

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

The Toyota GT86, in all of its forms, is one of the best-handling cars money can buy, a trait that can put a smile on the faces of all but the most jaded car enthusiasts. But if good handling isn't what they're looking for, then what is? Our first guess would have to be more power, something the 200-horsepower Toyota would benefit from. Autocar tries out that theory by driving two turbocharged GT86s on track, then pitting the more powerful one against the 616-hp McLaren MP4-12C in a track battle.
The first GT86 turbo Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe drives makes around 255 rear-wheel horsepower and a bucket-load more torque than the stock car. That's plenty of power to either have a lot of fun or get into a lot of trouble. But the GT86 that Sutcliffe tails in the McLaren is race-prepped, stripped to the bone and wears slicks to harness a heavy-hitting 335 hp at the wheel. Weighing in at under 2,500 pounds, the Toyota can't overcome the MP4-12C's power-to-weight ratio of 5.3 pounds per horsepower, but it comes pretty close.
Enjoy a lot of chasing and drifting fun in the video below!
