2001 Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Series For Sale! Vehicle is in great shape with a few minor scratches and for its age. L/C has 211,229 miles on it and still going strong. Mileage subject to change minimally as the vehicle still gets driven. Vehicle runs and drives great no accidents and a clear carfax. If you know anything about the Land Cruiser this one is in top shape for its age and mileage. Has been kept in a garage for the majority of its life. Has never been off road. The most this L/C has seen is a little snow and the yard. Paint and interior is in great shape with a little wear. All four tires are about 50% or better, the spare looks new. I have all the current maintenance records. The truck was just serviced and WV inspected. I will let the pictures do the talking. Toyota TRD Pro Chase Trucks are ready to hit the desert at SEMA
Wed, 05 Nov 2014Toyota marks the 35th anniversary of its Toyota Racing Development performance arm this year, and the division is celebrating at this year's SEMA Show with a quartet of tuned off-roaders based on on the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra that look more than ready to go just about anywhere.
All four of them will take part in this year's Baja 1000 race, but only the Tundra (far left in the above photo) is actually competing. The other three will be there to act as support vehicles.
Inspired by the production TRD Pro Series trucks, the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra are prepared by off-road fabricator N-Fab with a mix of TRD and the company's own parts to be able to take whatever the grueling, 1,000-mile can throw at them. The trio is fettled with extra communications equipment, GPS, additional lights and all sorts of body and suspension modifications to help them survive the ordeal.
Shuttle-hauling Tundra finds permanent home in science exhibit
Mon, 03 Jun 2013The idea of lifting a full-size pickup truck completely off the ground by hand might seem as likely as, say, said pickup truck towing a 150,000-pound space shuttle, but... hurray, physics! The same Toyota Tundra that towed the Space Shuttle Endeavour to its final resting place at the California Science Center is now on permanent display there as an exhibit that shows how a lever works.
Like all levers, this exhibit uses a fulcrum allowing people other than Superman to lift the 5,625-pound pickup (plus an extra 1,000 pounds for the rig). That's almost as impressive as the Tundra pulling 17 times its rated towing capacity back in October. Regardless, Toyota is once again cashing in on the publicity stunt and visitors to the science center get a live demonstration of a simple machine - we call that a win-win.
