1999 Toyota Land Cruiser Base Sport Utility 4-door 4.7l on 2040-cars
Glenwood Springs, Colorado, United States
A solid, reliable land cruiser up for sale. I'll start by explaining the liabilities:
This is a fully loaded cruiser. All the options. V8 power, plows through snow and climbs mountains! Black exterior, and beautiful tan leather. DVD, Navigation, Bluetooth, iPod, Back up camera, power seats, heated seats, power windows, Auto climate control, power locks, seating for 7. The land cruiser is the flag ship of the Toyota brand. These vehicles go forever, 159k is less than half life, and they hold their value for a loooooooong time! Do some research online to compare prices and value and you'll notice this is priced correctly. It's been driven by my wife with a 20 mile round trip commute daily. We took a road trip this winter with it and wouldn't hesitate to take it cross country. Be the lucky recipient of this great, plush, attractive vehicle! Please ask questions if you have them. We are not interested in trades or LOW BALL offers. Shipping will need to be arranged by yourself or picked up locally. We can assist getting it somewhere but we've had vehicles shipped and carriers do door to door service at very reasonable rates. |

Toyota produces millionth truck in Texas
Thu, 19 Sep 2013After going online in 2006, Toyota's San Antonio, Texas truck plant has just built its one-millionth vehicle, the 2014 Tundra 1794 Edition you see above. The plant originally focused on just the Tundra pickup, but the smaller Tacoma started rolling off the line there in 2010, as well.
Fittingly, the 1794 Edition (a new premium trim level for 2014) pays homage to the property on which the Toyota plant now resides - a ranch that was founded in 1794. Scroll down for the official press release for the plant's milestone, and be sure to check out the full gallery of Tundra 1794 Edition images as well.
2014 Toyota Corolla debuts with more power, interior space
Fri, 07 Jun 2013Depending on who you ask, the best-selling car in the world is either the Ford Focus or Toyota Corolla. Not surprisingly, Toyota claims it's the Corolla. Either way, we're talking around a million individual units per year, and over 40 million over the car's lifetime on the market, so the redesign of Toyota's compact sedan is big-time news for the Japanese automaker that it needs to get right.
The Toyota Corolla was last redesigned way back in 2008, meaning the 2014 model is a long-overdue update to the C-segment sedan. Its age shows when compared to newer rivals like the Honda Civic, Chevy Cruze, Hyundai Elantra and the aforementioned Ford Focus when comparing technology features, fuel mileage and interior roominess. In an effort to solve those demerits, Toyota has added nearly four inches to the 2014 Corolla's wheelbase and will offer a new continuously variable transmission with seven simulated gear ratios.
Engine choices consist of two available 1.8-liter four-cylinder units, one with 132 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque, and another more efficient version that uses Toyota's new Valvematic technology to offer 140 horses and 126 lb-ft of torque. Eco and Sport modes will be selectable by the driver.
Toyota's production fuel cell car to cost between $50-100k
Fri, 03 May 2013
While the cost of building a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle continues to go down over time, reports over the last few years have steadily maintained that the first Toyota hydrogen-powered vehicles for customers should ring up for around $50,000. Company officials cited this figure way back in 2010, and have reiterated it in subsequent years.
So, while a recent Automotive News report about the cost of Toyota's 2015 Hydrogen car doesn't offer up any new figures, it does offer an interesting pricing wrinkle. According to the report, the "cost factor" for the hydrogen vehicles will be in the $50k ballpark, meaning the retail price could be anywhere from there, up to as much as around $100,000.
