Hello and thank you for checking out my auction. Up for sale is my wife's 1997 Toyota Landcruiser. She has owned this Collectors Edition Landcruiser since 2001. It was an IBM owned car that was sold at the Manheim Auction when it had about 110K miles. This vehicle has been nothing short of amazing since then, and has never let us down. It is full time four wheel drive, but also has the 4 way differential locks that allow it to go almost anywhere. This landcruiser has a clear title, and has never been wrecked. A deer did jump into the side of it a few years ago and knocked off the rear fender trim, but I re-attched it with gorilla glue. Not my best work, but its held. I also backed into a mailbox last month which pushed in a place on the soft rear bumper corner and put a scratch near the tailight (see the pics). And while I am disclosing the bad, I will add that the power antenna doesn't go up and down anymore, it just makes a buzzing sound when you crank the vehicle. The driver's seat also has some tears, but the rest look good. There is one small bubble of rust under the back rear window where the rear wiper mounts, but I think that is it. It will also need rear tires soon. Okay, with that being said, I can say that the vehicle is in good condition, and it runs, drives, and stops just like it should. My wife uses it for everything, and the cargo space inside never ceases to amaze me. I can't tell you how many times I've said "there is no way that will fit" only to be told "I told you so" as my wife drives off with her new found treasures all packed inside. Anyway, when it hit 300K, I told my wife I was afraid it might leave her stranded somewhere, so I bought her a newer Lexus 470 to replace it. It's the same vehicle with just more bells and whistles. These trucks are just incredible. Anyway, that is my only reason for selling. As far as I am concerned, you can get in it and drive it anywhere. I'll be glad to answer any questions you may have. I am listing it with no reserve, so bid to win! Thanks for your interest and Good Luck!!
On Jun-06-13 at 18:00:50 PDT, seller added the following information:Please note: The autocheck history report that came up when I listed the Landcruiser says there was a wreck before it was sold at auction. This was before my time and also news to me. Needless to say it has not caused any issues whatsoever in the 12+ years of owernship. Sorry I can't provide any more information than that, but in the spirit of full disclosure I wanted to make sure to note this fact. Thanks.

Toyota reports huge quarterly profit increase, raises forecast for the year
Sun, 04 Aug 2013Toyota isn't just the world's largest automaker - so far its the biggest winner for quarterly profits. With an enormous $5.5 billion take during Q2, Toyota took advantage of the weak Japanese yen and strong US demand to record a 94-percent improvement in profit over the same period from last year. So far, Toyota brought in larger profits than Ford and General Motors combined.
Toyota is showing no signs of slowing down either, as it has bumped up its forecast for full-year global production, going from 9.94 million to 10.12 million vehicles, on the back of a 13-percent drop in the buying power of the Japanese yen versus the US dollar. That strong exchange rate is largely responsible for Toyota's big jump in profits, although it also managed to shift 1.3 million vehicles in the US market this year. Strong Camry sales have also helped. But while Toyota is raking in the cash, it actually saw a small drop in market share, down 0.1 percent to 14.3 percent of the US market.
As is the case with most automakers, Toyota seems flummoxed by Europe, where it recorded less than one percent of its revenue. Still, as Automotive News points out, Toyota only maintains a 4.5-percent market share in Europe and is far less dependent on the continent than other manufacturers. Toyota also struggled at home, much like Honda. With 525,777 units sold, JDM sales were down almost 51,000 units, although Toyota still saw its operating profit jump from $3.5 billion to $4.6 billion.
Sunday Drive: Big debuts from the Big Apple dominated the headlines
Sun, Apr 1 2018New York Auto Show week has come and gone, and, not surprisingly, the week's biggest bits of news came from the halls of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in NYC. Our favorite debut from New York was the Lincoln Aviator, a sharp-dresses crossover that looks lovely inside and out, and sits on underpinnings at least partly derived from the Ford Mustang. While the Aviator may have caught our attention, it wasn't the most popular vehicle debut from New York, at least when judging by the number of page views here on Autoblog. That distinction goes to the 2019 Toyota RAV4, and we're hardly surprised. The RAV4 is the most popular compact crossover in America (in fact it's the most popular vehicle that isn't a pickup truck), and the 2019 version looks like a radical departure from the model that came before. We can't wait to drive the thing. Midsize sedans may not be the darling of the family car set, that honor taken over by the aforementioned crossover, but they still sell in large enough numbers that a brand-new model catches our attention. Such is the case with the 2019 Nissan Altima. We broke down the specs of the Altima and compared Nissan's bread-and-butter sedan with its biggest rivals. And finally, we got some official figures for the 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt. It'll cost a cool $12,000 over the cost of a Mustang GT, and will benefit from a 480-horsepower, 420-pound-foot version of Ford's excellent 5.0-liter V8 engine. As always, stay tuned this week for all the latest automotive news that's fit to print. 2018 New York Auto Show Mega Photo Gallery | Start spreading the news 2019 Toyota RAV4 actually looks pretty cool 2019 Nissan Altima vs Honda Accord vs Toyota Camry: How they compare 2019 Mustang Bullitt orders open as Ford reveals price and horsepower Image Credit: Drew Angerer/Getty New York Auto Show Ford Lincoln Nissan Toyota Coupe Crossover SUV Sedan 2018 new york auto show
