1996 Toyota Land Cruiser Base Sport Utility 4-door 4.5l on 2040-cars
Castle Rock, Colorado, United States
This is a good condition 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser. I have owned this for 3 years and have really enjoyed it, however, due to family circumstances, I need to sell it.
4.5L Inline 6 cylinder engine 4 spd with OD Transmission 16" Alloy Wheel Good life left on tires - Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac K&N Filter Optima Red Top Battery The windshield was replaced last year Kenwood bluetooth stereo 4 Kicker Speakers Remote Lock The leather on the front and middle seats is in fair condition and the rear seats are in excellent shape. There are a few rust spots as shown in the pictures, but overall, it is in good shape. Front Seat front/back movements do not work. This is a common LC problem and there is a simple fix of repairing the gears, but I just have not had time to work on it. Reclining works fine. New Rancho Front Shocks. I have have new shocks for the rear, but have not installed them yet. Paint is still in good shape The back rear wheel flare was hit when I was backing into a garage. The wheel flare can be fixed or replaced, the body was not damaged. This has truly been a reliable vehicle and is absolutely AWESOME in the snow/ice, I hate to see it go. I am also selling this locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. Please email me if you have any questions. Thank you. |

Race Recap: 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans defines 'endurance'
Mon, 16 Jun 2014Commenting on the rush of events that rocked beginning and end of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Paul Truswell of Radio Le Mans said "the race is about the ability to endure, not just the ability of drivers to do what they do for a long time." The entire race machine, all the way down to the pit boards and radios, has to survive the stress and abuse of the entire day. This was the race to prove those words.
There were two Toyotas, two Porsches and three Audis, five of the seven led the race at some point, six of the seven ran in the top three. Toyota will be hugely disappointed that it didn't win when its car and drivers were so, so strong, but they gave Audi the kind of scare we haven't seen since the best of Peugeot's days, and Toyota did a better job of it even in the loss. Porsche blew away everyone's expectations, falling 3.5 hours short of a fairy tale ending that would have made Disney cry.
But Le Mans doesn't really do fairy tales. Well, not that fairy tale. Audi's Twitter handle during the event was #welcomechallenges. As usual, Le Mans answered for the entire field.
2015 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro
Thu, 23 Oct 2014Despite the earnest efforts of Japanese automakers like Toyota and Nissan, the American pickup truck scene remains wholly dominated by the likes of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler. This is not news. Part of the reason is because of the sheer number of variants offered by US automakers - everything from work-spec base trucks to house-leveling heavy duty models can be had, with a seemingly endless combination of engines, cab sizes, bed lengths and trim levels. It's a hugely profitable business, and though the Japanese automakers still offer competitive fullsize trucks, in terms of sheer volume, they simply don't compete.
But American pickups aren't just about work; there's a huge play aspect involved, too. Look at the desert-storming Ford F-150 SVT Raptor or the Ram Power Wagon - these butch trucks are built with superb off-road prowess in mind, and Detroit's Japanese rivals have once again largely been silent in this segment. Until now.
Introduced at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, Toyota now offers the TRD Pro series of models that, in addition to the crazy-orange Tundra seen here, includes the smaller Tacoma pickup and 4Runner SUV. And this isn't just some pretty appearance package, either - there's honest-to-goodness capability baked into all of the TRD Pro models. Intriguing, for sure, so I recently spent a weekend with the big boy Tundra to see what's what.
