1988 Toyota Land Cruiser Base Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l on 2040-cars
Oregon City, Oregon, United States
This is a wonderful and rare find. This is a great 1988, Toyota Land Cruiser, 4x4, with a great straight 6 cylinder motor, runs and drives wonderful. It has high/low range. The tires are excellent and the spare looks to be new. The belts all look to be in great shape and it has a KW oil filter. This has the stock manual and books, the delivery certificate is also included in the maintenance manual. The muffler looks newer and looks to have paperwork too. The motor was professionally rebuilt with paperwork, not that many miles ago. This has a sunroof that is either stock or well installed, air conditioning, cruise, guages, 4x4 , high/low, alloy wheels, it is an FJ62. It has wonderful PIAA fog lights. It has an oil pressure sensor. This has newer tires, an external transmission fluid cooler. Extra window regulators. It is a wonderful color combination of white/gray. The gray cloth interior is good with seat covers the drivers seat does show wear under the seat cover. The spare is new and the headliner is great. This wonderful Land Cruiser has a 5,000 pound tow hitch with wiring, and the front bumper has a hook, as shown in the pictures. The undercarriage and wheel wells look wonderful, again, shown in the pictures. The glass is all good. The lights, and lenses are like new, there is no age showing on them. There is no weathering of the lenses, this rig has been loved to the most minimal detail. The dash for the most part is good but there are a couple cracks. The hubs are newer. It has a wonderful receiver hitch. This has a back hatch that opens as the window and the lower tailgate, not the type that the window has to go into the tailgate but it raises and the tailgate lowers, like a horizontal barn door. It has maintenance records in a 2 inch, 3 ring binder, everything you can imagine, it has the original owners manual and a Haynes book with it. This has a wonderful Sony Cd player. This has a Safari Snorkel too...please feel free to call or text with any questions 5036563333. This classic Toyota Land Cruiser, is being offered by Peggy's Classic Cars, Oregon DA4795. Toyota Matrix discontinued for 2014
Mon, 05 Aug 2013Between its slow sales and the upcoming redesign of the closely related Corolla sedan, things haven't been looking good for the Toyota Matrix (for some time now). After 10 years on the market, Toyota has officially announced that it will drop the Matrix from its US lineup following the 2013 model year.
The announcement was made as a part of a press release breaking down what's new for Toyota in 2014, but for now, it doesn't look like any Toyota-branded product will fill the Matrix's spot. The Matrix and its sister car, the defunct Pontiac Vibe, were the final vehicles developed under the joint venture between Toyota and General Motors, an arrangement launched back to 1984.
Do you guys like trucks?
Wed, Jan 17 2018Do you guys like trucks? If the answer is yes, boy do we have the show for you! The 2018 North American International Auto Show is lousy with 'em. Yeah, we saw the new Ram 1500, Chevy Silverado and Ford Ranger, but that's just scratching the surface. There are big trucks, little trucks, clean trucks, dirty trucks, old trucks, new trucks, red trucks, blue trucks. It's like a Dr. Seuss book. Anyway, we made a little video for you truck nuts (see what I did there?). Check it out above, and if you're looking for more serious coverage of the Detroit Auto Show, we've got it, along with a ton of images and other videos from the show floor. Enjoy! 2014 Toyota Tundra Platinum 4x4
Wed, 26 Feb 2014The Toyota Tundra is the automotive version of off-brand Cheerios: it doesn't dominate the market, and it's not the first model people think of when they hear the term "pickup truck."
Ford, General Motors and Ram dominate the segment with vehicles that offer ridiculous levels of towing and payload capacities and models loaded with luxury items and primed with tech-rich engines. The off-brands, meanwhile, are led by the Tundra, which while still accounting for six-figure sales (112,732 units in 2013, up from 101,621 in 2012), sits well behind the F-150s and Silverados of the world. After our first drive of the revamped 2014 Tundra, we came away thinking this truck is a total underachiever, aimed at placating Toyota loyalists and doing little to win over new customers.
But everybody deserves a second chance, and we thought a week's drive in a different environment might lead to a different - or at least a more fully realized - opinion. While the Tundra might not be an industry leader, it still makes it on many truck buyers' shopping lists. So, should you consider this off-brand pickup truck? To find out, we borrowed a top-of-the-line Tundra Platinum for a week. Read on to see what we found.
