1987 Toyota Land Cruiser on 2040-cars
Beaverton, Oregon, United States
ORIGINAL SURVIVOR... I picked this beautiful Rust Free Land Cruiser up from a local second owner who had it 18 years and was always garaged. 4 speed manual six cylinder. Everything works and it runs great.
It needed a few things done so I had them fixed by professional mechanics. The windshield had a small crack and a few chips so it was replaced. The AC was not working well so that was recharged and now it blows colder than my new car. The front disc brakes were not bad but I had the rotors turned and replaced the pads anyway. Had it tuned up and replaced the rotor, cap and fuel filter. It had a small dent in the drivers door so that was taken care of by a body shop. It starts and runs like new. The only thing I did not fix is a noise coming from the exhaust manifold when your really on the gas. I believe it is the manifold gasket, does not bother me much so not going to mess with it. Fuel gauge is not always spot on, drops to empty when still 1/3 full. It has an older CD player with remote. All four new tires replaced at 170000 miles. I have receipts on all work and previous owner kept records of maintenance . The Land Cruiser is legendary for being extremely dependable and run forever, so with winter on it's way this is the perfect classic to own with the value rising each year. Clear and clean title in my name. Call with questions. Thanks for looking. Chad 503-544-7001 |

Toyota Camry lineup gets interior and tech updates one year in
Thu, 21 Feb 2013When it debuted last year, the Toyota Camry came in for some criticism over its interior, most centered on material choices - both in quality (not enough) and variety (too much). Thus, Toyota has responded after just one model year, updating both materials and features on its gas-powered and hybrid family sedans for 2013.
The LE version appeared to get the lion's share of the improvements. Specifically, the LE is getting "soft-touch" door materials as well as armrests that match the rest of the interior color (instead of being black). The LE model also gets Toyota's six-inch display screen that helps folks get a better gander at the car's energy usage and fuel economy, among other things. Other changes include adding cross-traffic alert for models equipped with blind spot monitoring
Toyota introduced its latest version of the Camry and Camry Hybrid in the fall of 2011 as a 2012 model. Sales have been solid, and in particular, the Camry Hybrid has improved its fortunes, bumping its US sales almost fivefold to more than 45,000 units. So far in 2013, the latter has carried over much of that momentum, boosting January 2013 sales from a year earlier by 81 percent to 3,826 units.
Toyota Avalon celebrates 20 years with Touring Sport Edition
Mon, 27 Oct 2014The Toyota Avalon may not have the sportiest image on the market. Heck, it doesn't even have the sportiest image in the Toyota lineup. But the Japanese automaker is out to fix that perception, at least a little bit, with the launch of the new Touring Sport Edition.
Announced together with some minor updates to the entire Avalon line - consisting primarily of enhanced safety and infotainment systems - the Avalon XLE Touring Sport Edition celebrates the 20th anniversary of Toyota's large sedan line. Setting this special edition apart are a black paintjob, HID headlights, LED daytime running lights, 18-inch alloys (similar in design to those on the Scion FR-S) and an interior decked out with perforated leather with dark blue trim... plus, of course, the requisite special badges inside and out.
Only 2,500 units will be offered with a $37,170 sticker price that puts it near (if not quite at) the top of the Avalon range that's capped by the $41,700 Avalon Hybrid Limited. Pricing has increased on most models by around two percent, and you can scope out all the details of the updates to the full range in the press releases below.
