Up for sale is a 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 60 series in really good conditions.

This Land Cruiser is completely "Rust Free". You can come and check it out by yourself.

It runs and drives as a Land Cruiser should do. In order to increase its performance, I would recommend a carburetor rebuilt.

The vehicle overall has 199k miles in it. However we just put a completely rebuilt motor head due that it was failing when we got it, also new piston rings all around. We also installed a new headers system, and a high performance DUI distributor.

4wd works perfect. A/C works excellent. Heavy duty rubber mat on cargo area. Interior LED lights. Power steering.

Upholstery is in pretty good shape, except for the driver's seat bottom piece, which was reupholstered for previous owner and it wasn't the best job. Head liner and dash are in really good shape.

Paint is not perfect at all, but pretty decent considering its age.

Toyota 4Runner wheels and tires, with only 7k miles on the tires.

Mileage could vary due that this vehicle is being used as daily driver at the moment.

Overall, this Landcruiser will/can go anywhere you want it to go.

Due that Amazonia-4x4 LLC is a restoration shop specialized in Land Cruisers, we can perform any other upgrade in this vehicle upon buyer's request.

   Thanks for bidding.

Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race Scion FR-S [w/video]

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Toyota has been hosting its Pro/Celebrity race at the Toyota Grand Prix on Long Beach since 1977. The charity event, which has raised millions of dollars over the years, traditionally pits Hollywood celebrities against professional athletes (including race car drivers) on the full Grand Prix course in modified street vehicles. The short, sprint-style race is popular with the crowds as the amateur drivers race uninhibited - the result is an action-packed race with plenty of excitement and automotive... er... carnage.
Over the decades, the drivers have raced a variety of Toyota products including last year's front-wheel-drive Scion tC. But this year, Toyota announced at the Chicago Auto Show that the new rear-wheel-drive Scion FR-S would be stepping up to the plate. The good news only became better when Toyota Motorsports invited us out to Southern California's Willow Springs Raceway (the same circuit where the drivers train and practice) to be one of the first behind the wheel.

Toyota to ramp up Tacoma production in Mexico by 41%

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

The Toyota Tacoma may be getting on in age, but that isn't stopping the Japanese manufacturer from ramping up production at the pickup's Baja California factory. The Mexican plant will soon be home to another 300 jobs as it increases total capacity by 41 percent. The increase is slated for April 2015.
The move is a curious one, considering the Tacoma's age and the fact that General Motors is preparing what, on the surface, appear to be two very competent challengers. The factory increase could be in preparation for the 2016 Taco (spy photos shown above), which is expected to represent a significant overhaul of the long-serving truck.
Toyota's decision to increase capacity could also be due to the factory building freeze implemented by President Akio Toyoda, according to Automotive News. Toyoda put a hold on new factories until 2016, asking executives to squeeze as much production as possible out of remaining factories before bringing any additional facilities online.

Toyota releases teaser for Kaley Cuoco Super Bowl ad

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

Toyota has released a 35-second teaser video for its upcoming Super Bowl spot staring Kaley Cuoco, the actress best known for her role as object-of-nerd-affection Penny on The Big Bang Theory. The real star of the ad, however, is its soundtrack, the 1995 hit "I Wish" by rapper Skee-Lo that will have your mind cashing nostalgia checks the moment it hits your ears.
We still don't know much about the content, plot or story of this Super Bowl commercial, though we can say that its object of promotion is likely the new RAV4 we see Ms. Cuoco driving in this teaser. The rest of the time she's walking the street in a purple getup granting wishes like Robin Williams on a Disney sound stage. And then the Easter Bunny and a chihuahua enter the picture and we get lost. Clint Eastwood under a bridge this is not.
But hey, Super Bowl ads cost millions and millions of dollars to produce and air, so we trust that Toyota spent its money wisely and will have us ROFLing on game day. Until then, scroll down and witness for yourself the debut of Kaley Cuoco as a Toyota spokeswoman.
