Stamford, Connecticut, United States
Just email me at: vedavvvillaluz@ukos.com .
Oil coated frame and undersides, very sound. Brand new Metal Tech full profile roll cage recently installed
together with new clutch, brakes and fuel tank. Original mechanicals and body. 3 speed on the floor with original
motor. Upgraded with two inch lift and ranchero shocks. Soft top and bikini top. Comes with original hardtop sides,
rear hatch and braces which are in need some restoration and paint as these are the original orange that the car
was. Rare safari seat in back. Runs strong, lots of new parts. Upgraded shoulder harness seat belts up front. New
radio with USB, AUX and memory card slots wired for speakers (new speakers required as removed for roll cage
install).
Exceptional cruiser it was originally orange (see engine pics and hardtop sides) but was painted desert tan about
25 years ago. Originally on the west coast and shipped east about 9 years ago by same family that owned it in
California. Could use paint to be perfect to cover some small dings, but didn't want to cover anything up. Family
expanding and need to make room in the garage.

2014 Toyota Highlander
Tue, 17 Dec 2013Midsize crossovers like the Toyota Highlander tend to play a thankless role in the life of today's modern family.
That's really too bad. With the ability to hold several hyperactive kids and tons of cargo while keeping everyone safe and comfortable in all kinds of climate conditions day in and day out, they're true heroes in the lives of hundreds of thousands of families across the country. Yet their car-apathetic owners often immediately forget about them as soon as their work is done. And nearly all midsize crossovers are thoroughly ignored by enthusiasts whose eyes begin to glaze over at first mention of the phrase "third row."
Toyota is looking to soften the blow somewhat by giving its midsize crossover, the Highlander, a big redesign for the 2014 model year. With a bold new look, updated suspension and a refreshed interior focused on comfort and convenience, Toyota aims to make the Highlander sportier to drive and more striking in appearance, because, as the marketing team explains, "families are going places and they want to get there in style."
This first-gen Toyota Celica is one mean mother
Tue, 09 Jul 2013Brian Karasawa's gen-one Toyota Celica is, in a word, badass. As a long-standing fan of the marque, the doting owner has tried to both restore and improve his Celica keeping period-correct modifications in mind. The 20R/22R mashup engine is outputting roughly 185 horsepower and graced with a lot of JDM-specific parts and modifications. Clearly, the exhaust has been upgraded from stock, as clips of the orange Toyota in motion are accompanied by one hell of a nice sound.
Tastes clearly vary, and there's not as much love for the first-wave of Japanese metal as there is for similar era American-iron, but we're pleased to see these cars finally getting more time in the spotlight. Scroll down below to see why we're stoked, and consider cruising your local Craigslist for late 1970s and early 1980s Japanese coolness (before we get there first).
Toyota gives up more information on Frankfurt-bound Yaris Hybrid-R concept
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Toyota has undeniably carved out a niche for itself as the industry's leader in hybrid propulsion. What started out with the original Prius in 1997 has, over the past sixteen years, ballooned to what Toyota reports as a global hybrid portfolio of 23 models. But few (if any of them) are particularly exciting.
That's where the Yaris Hybrid-R concept comes in. Set to be showcased along with the rest of Toyota's hybrid and fuel-cell lineup at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show next month, the concept starts with one of the Japanese auto giant's least exciting models and upgrades it to more enticing territory. Toyota Motorsport GmbH - the same Cologne, Germany-based division that operated the company's F1 team, currently runs its Le Mans program and gave us that bonkers 650-horsepower Lexus LS - has slotted in a version of Toyota's new 1.6-liter Global Race Engine and paired it with a couple of electric motors for hybrid propulsion and through-the-road all-wheel drive.
Like the TS030 Hybrid LMP1, the Yaris Hybrid-R concept uses a super capacitor (instead of a conventional battery) to store the regenerated brake energy and give it upwards of 400 horsepower. That's about all Toyota is revealing at this point, but this is the first time it has confirmed the project is based on a Yaris, of all things, and the confirmation comes with the solitary teaser rendering you see above. Check out the press release after the jump and watch this space for more as Frankfurt fast approaches.
