Up for sale we have a 1973 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser project vehicle for restoration or parts to complete your restoration......this will need work and is currently not running. The 1F Engine turns over easily, but does not start, will likely need a rebuild. Rust? Yes, the body has rust in the expected places......not terrible & certainly not the worst i have seen for the east coast, look at the pictures closely. The listed mileage is just what is showing on the cluster, but i have no idea of the actual mileage. I purchased this truck a few months ago with the thought of taking it on as a restoration, but have since picked up a different project and have decided not to pursue this one.

This '73 FJ40 was previously on the road as a driver & has numerous desirable parts - both new & vintage......This is a 1F straight 6 cyl. with a 3 speed manual trans and a separate overdrive box (3rd stick), giving it a 4th gear. There is a Webber Carb kit, header, new Clutch kit from Cool Cruisers, a new Factory Toyota Fuel Tank, the Overdrive box, all new brakes, recent tires, rear jump seats, fiberglass hood, diamond plate corners, new emblems, etc, etc...i have several thousand dollars worth of receipts from the previous owner for parts and labor.......what you see is what you will get, please feel free to ask any questions before bidding/buying as there is no refund on this item or negotiation after the sale. This  is being sold AS IS, WHERE IS (in Richmond, Va) and will need to be TOWED AWAY.....so bring your trailer.

Please be prepared to pay promptly, I require payment of a $1000.00 deposit within 48 hrs. of the close of the auction with details of pick up to be arranged. Truck has a good Title.

Good Luck & thanks for bidding!

2014 Toyota Corolla shows just enough to keep us interested

Tue, 21 May 2013

To date, the best idea we have of what the 2014 Toyota Corolla will look like is the shape and styling of the Furia Concept from this year's Detroit Auto Show. Obviously the compact car will turn down the wick a fair bit from that orange machine, and now we have one more scintilla of an idea of what the final product will look like.
Published today on Toyota's official Facebook page, the image above clearly shows the rear quarter of the 2014 Corolla S. Though the low angle is pretty wonky, we can make out that the shape of the taillight cluster is very similar to that of the Furia, albeit without the same LED treatment, A hint of a trunk-lid spoiler is also in evidence, and also follows the Furia's lead.
Toyota points out that the new Corolla will be shown in earnest on June 6. Expect to see the full version of the car by that date at the latest - online leaks have a tendancy to speed these things up.

2014 Toyota 4Runner

Fri, 02 Aug 2013

I recently took the redesigned 2014 Toyota 4Runner for a muddy romp in Pennsylvania. While the mechanical bits and pieces beneath the body-on-frame SUV trudge forward into the new model year with very few tweaks, the truck "receives a rugged new exterior design and interior refinements that add comfort and convenience without sacrificing its hallmark performance capability and excellent value," says the automaker.
A quick visual scan of the 4Runner reveals a new front end with a more "aggressive" and "muscular" appearance (yes, I'm quoting Toyota) that includes new headlights, grille and hood scoop. A roof rack is now standard across all trims, too. While SR5 and Trail grades have a bland color-keyed grille insert that gives the face a monochromatic appearance, the range-topping Limited (shown above and in our gallery) snarls with a silver-plated chin that gives it a bit more character.
New soft-touch surfaces within the cabin provide a more upscale environment and a bright new Optitron instrument panel improves readability and functionality. As before, the SR5 and Trail models arrive with fabric upholstery or optional Softex seats (synthetic leather). Genuine hides are reserved for the Limited trim, which is also fitted with Toyota's unique X-REAS (X-Relative Absorber System) automatic suspension system as standard equipment.

Toyota's 'Easy Speak' Gives Parents A Voice In Backseats

Mon, Jul 21 2014

Parents often wish they could be in two places at once. A feature from Toyota now gives them the next best thing: The ability to yell at their children from a distance. The feature, known as Easy Speak, was introduced in the 2014 Highlander and can now be had in Toyota's Sienna minivan. It allows drivers to use a microphone to communicate with passengers via the car's speakers, all while keeping their eyes on the road. This can come in handy when your brood starts their territorial shoving matches. There's also an optional two way conversation mirror, which allows parents to keep check in on the action without having to turn their head around. These are welcome features. A three-week study from the Monash University Accident Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia showed that children – not telephones – are more likely to distract people while driving. Parents were distracted on 90 of 92 trips studied by the researchers, racking up an average of three minutes of distracted driving per 16 minute trip. Cell phones only made up one percent of that distracted drive time. Related Gallery Coolest minivans of all time Weird Car News Toyota Minivan/Van
