THIS FJ40 WAS BOUGHT FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER IN 1976 AT A LOCAL DEALERSHIP IN TEXAS WITH ONLY 5 MILES ON IT.

AND THE ORIGINAL OWNER LOVED IT AND DROVE IT TO WORK AND BACK,NEVER WENT 4X4ING IN IT.

AFTER THE YEARS HE SOLD IT TO THE SECOND OWNER IN 1985 AND THE 2ND OWNER MOVED HERE TO LAS VEGAS NV IN 1990.

IN 2012 THE 2ND OWNER REDONE ALL THE INTERIOR AND REPAINTED THE FJ40,AND PUT AIR CONDITION IN IT.

IT HAS ONLY BEEN REPAINTED 1 TIME IN IT'S WHOLE LIFE.

AFTER HE DID A LIGHT RESTORATION,HE DROVE IT FOR ABOUT 1 WEEK,HE FEEL DOWN AT WORK AND BROKE HIS LEFT LEG AND COULDN'T DRIVE THE FJ40 ANYMORE,SO IT GOT PARKED IN THE GARAGE AND LEFT IT SIT EVER SINCE.

AND NOW IT'S UP FOR SALE AT A 5 DAY AUCTION AT NO RESERVE SOLD TO THE HIGEST BIDDER.

THE VEHICLE RUNS AND DRIVES MOTOR SOUNDS GREAT,IT LEAKS OR KNOCKING NOISES,TRANSMISSION SHIFTS INTO ALL GEARS GREAT,CLUTCH IS LIKE NEW,BRAKES ARE GOOD,AND 4X4 WORKS..

BUT IT HAS BEEN SITTING SINCE 2 YEARS SO IT'S GOING TO NEED SOME MINOR TUNING,NOTHING SERIOUS.

THE BODY IS ORIGINAL WITH IT'S ORIGINAL SHEET METAL AND ALL ORIGINAL,FLOORS ARE GOOD,FRAME IS GOOD,IT HAS SOME MINOR SURFACE RUST HERE AND THERE.

PAINT IS NICE AND SHINNY,JUST HAS SOME MINOR DENTS AND DINGS DUE TO IT WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE AND THE KIDS HIT IT A COUPLE OF TIMES WITH THEIR BICYCLES AND THE DRONT WINDSHELD AND A CRACK IN IT
THE INTERIOR IS IN GREAT CONDITION,SEATS ARE BRAND NEW AND FIRM.

Toyota Aygo, Citro?n C1 to join Peugeot 108 in Geneva

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

Just the other day, Peugeot took the wraps off the new 108. But its new city car, like the 107 it replaces, doesn't stand on its own. The 107 was a sister vehicle to not only the Citroën C1 but also the Toyota Aygo. So it should come as little surprise that, while Peugeot was the first to release photos and details on its version, Citroën and Toyota will also be on hand with their own versions when the veils lift on all three at the Geneva Motor Show.
We're expecting the new trio of budget-oriented hatchbacks to bear the fruits of individual efforts to distinguish themselves one from another more than their predecessors, which essentially looked the same save for different badges. But from the teaser image above, we'd venture that the Toyota version will be a further departure from the 108 than the C1 will be.
One way or another we'll have to wait and see, but for now you can view Toyota's teaser clip below, along with the press releases confirming the debut of both in Geneva next month.

Shuttle-hauling Tundra finds permanent home in science exhibit

Mon, 03 Jun 2013

The idea of lifting a full-size pickup truck completely off the ground by hand might seem as likely as, say, said pickup truck towing a 150,000-pound space shuttle, but... hurray, physics! The same Toyota Tundra that towed the Space Shuttle Endeavour to its final resting place at the California Science Center is now on permanent display there as an exhibit that shows how a lever works.
Like all levers, this exhibit uses a fulcrum allowing people other than Superman to lift the 5,625-pound pickup (plus an extra 1,000 pounds for the rig). That's almost as impressive as the Tundra pulling 17 times its rated towing capacity back in October. Regardless, Toyota is once again cashing in on the publicity stunt and visitors to the science center get a live demonstration of a simple machine - we call that a win-win.

Scion reveals iM concept ahead of LA debut

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

After dropping a teaser image on us a few weeks ago, Scion has revealed in full the new iM Concept it's bringing to the Los Angeles Auto Show next week. As expected, the concept is clearly a rebadged version of the Euro-market Toyota Auris, only with some "European Racing Circuit Styling" upgrades to make it look more aggressive.
Along with the Scion logos, the five-door hatch is treated to a deeper air dam flanked by angular vents with stacked fog lamps, beefed-up wheel arches linked by widened side sills and filled with 19-inch, anthracite-finish alloys on low-profile rubber. Vented brake discs and four-piston calipers join an adjustable suspension as show-worthy equipment upgrades.
The sporty treatment continues around back with a similarly aggressive rear bumper and roof spoiler. Even the wing mirrors are replaced with narrower units. Little wonder it's all done up in a shade Scion calls "incrediblue" that looks rather similar to what sister-brand Lexus would put on one of its F-branded performance models - or for that matter what corporate ally Subaru would put on an STI hot hatches like the WRX.
