I bought this car in October of 2010 from the Santa Monica dealership as a Certified Used Vehicle. It has been serviced only at

dealers. I only did oil changes, recommended services and new Toyota brakes (plus patched tires). It is a dream car, no issues

that I know of...only selling for a business opportunity. It averages over 26 miles per gallon.

My neighbor dinged the panel over the tire on the driver side while it was parked and I had it replaced. Carmax had "no

accidents" listed when it ran a history, so I just disclose that the fender is not original. The new fender is factory. See the Carmax

Appraisal for "good" condition.

Please call Toyota Finance to check the transfer of the Platinum Service Agreement that I purchased to cover any mechanical issues up to 100K/7 years from original date of purchase 12/2009. Here is a brochure (I cannot guarantee this brochure is accurate, ask Toyota Financial for about the specifics of my vehicle):  http://www.toyotacertified.com/ebrochures/tcuv_platinum_vsa.pdf
Also, 100K/ 7yrs. of emergency assistance - gas, jumpstart, towing.  800-874-8822 8AM-8PM Monday-Friday.

Also, confirm Certified Used status & that Toyota Care is transferrable with Toyota of Santa Monica: 310) 526-8699

Cash at my bank on the day of transfer. Shipping is your responsibility.

The DMV is not current for 2014. See screenshot of amount due - $291 is discounted for you to pay my prorated portion of the re-registration. Then it's good until Dec 10, 1014.

Deals will complete transfer process prior by June 1 or go to the next buyer.

Toyota C-HR hybrid crossover coupe concept leak ahead of Paris

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Last week, Toyota previewed an upcoming concept called the C-HR and promised it would debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. It didn't say much more or give us anything beyond a silhouette and the shape of the lights, but here we have the first images of the finalized form.
The C-HR envisions a hybrid crossover coupe with angular styling that looks ready to take on the Nissan Juke. It's far sportier than a RAV4, and looks closer to how we'd imagine the next-generation Scion FR-S would look like if it were riding on a jacked-up suspension - with some show car elements thrown in for good measure, like a gloating roof, radical lighting and the usual absence of door handles and usable wing mirrors.
Of course, this being a Toyota concept, it packs a hybrid powertrain, although specifications did not leak out along with the images. Overall the form looks pretty striking, if decidedly unsubtle. We'll look forward to bringing you more as the Paris show rapidly approaches.

Minivan market not what it used to be, but margins make up for it

Thu, 05 Jun 2014

Residual values for last year's minivans are higher than they were in 2000.
Much like the station wagon was the shuttle of Baby Boomer generation, the minivan has been the primary means of transport for Generations X and Y. Just as the boomers abandoned the Country Squire, though, those kids that were toted around in Grand Caravans and Windstars are adults, and they certainly don't want to be seen in the cars their parents drove.

Japanese dealer petitioning Lexus for luxury van [w/poll]

Thu, 13 Mar 2014

Used to be that if you wanted a luxury automobile - especially one to be chauffeured around in - your choices were basically limited to a sedan. It could be bigger or smaller, more or less expensive, depending on your needs and budget, but it was always going to have four doors and a trunk. But these days the rich and famous are looking elsewhere for their commodious forms of pampering transportation. There are, of course, the crossovers and SUVs, which only seem to be getting bigger and more expensive thanks to the likes of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, Range Rover L and upcoming Bentley sport-ute. But luxury vans are becoming the new big thing.
That's the point that one dealer in Japan is trying to make to Toyota. The dealership owner himself reasons that if he's going out on the town, he's likely to take his chauffeured Lexus LS. But if he's taking a few friends along, even the biggest sedan isn't going to cut it. So he takes a Toyota Alphard (pictured above, also known as the Vellfire), a JDM van that's even bigger than a Voxy/Noah or Sienna but hardly a high-end affair. That's why he's asking Lexus to make a luxury van.
The idea may seem a little far-fetched, but isn't without precedent. It didn't take much for Lexus to transform the Land Cruiser into the LX and thus create its first luxury SUV. And as Mercedes has shown with pimped-out versions of the Sprinter and now with the debut of the new V-Class in Geneva, there's clearly a market for it... in some countries, anyway. The only question in our minds is how long it's going to take other luxury automakers to catch on, because let's face it: the Chrysler Town & Country ain't gonna cut it for those used to be driven around in a Maybach.
