1998 Toyota Corolla Le Sedan 4-door 1.8l on 2040-cars
Cypress, California, United States
I am listing this car on behalf of my girlfriend's mother. The car is in good mechanical shape but poor cosmetic shape. The paint is peeling in a few places and is missing some trim pieces along the door. The interior needs a heavy cleaning and the headliner fabric had come loose so it was removed. The sun roof doesn't work at the moment. Not sure why. Car starts right up every time and drives just fine. AC blows cold. Car does have a salvage title from a previous rear end accident that was repaired. At roughly 140K miles the engine was replaced with a used engine that had around 30K on it. So now the engine has roughly 80K on it. It needs tires on all 4 wheels. The spare, jack, and tools are all in the trunk. There are some missing trim pieces in the trunk area and the carpet is kinda floppy but intact.
The driver's door does not open from the inside. The interior left side passenger door handle is broken but the door does open. The power mirrors, windows, and locks all function correctly, although a couple of the door locks dont pop up as fast. Pink slip in hand. Car is available for viewing after 7pm during the week or by appointment on the weekends. Please email with any questions and/or to set up a time to come check out the car. Car is sold AS-IS, where-is and there is no warranty implied. |

Toyota previews new C-HR crossover concept bound for Paris
Mon, 15 Sep 2014We're now just a few weeks away from the start of the Paris Motor Show, and when the doors open at the Porte de Versailles, Toyota will be among the many automakers with new wares to show - including the new concept car pictured in this latest teaser image.
Called the C-HR, the concept is designed to represent an "innovative vision for a compact crossover model", incorporating "a new design language with an engaging driving experience and a hybrid powertrain." The Japanese industrial giant isn't saying much else, but the C-HR is set to debut alongside the finalized exterior design for its upcoming new fuel cell sedan.
Toyota, of course, became a pioneer in the compact crossover segment when it introduced the first-generation RAV4 way back in 1994. If the silhouette is anything to go by, however, the C-HR concept appears to adopt a far more streamlined form. Watch this space for more.
2014 Toyota Highlander
Tue, 17 Dec 2013Midsize crossovers like the Toyota Highlander tend to play a thankless role in the life of today's modern family.
That's really too bad. With the ability to hold several hyperactive kids and tons of cargo while keeping everyone safe and comfortable in all kinds of climate conditions day in and day out, they're true heroes in the lives of hundreds of thousands of families across the country. Yet their car-apathetic owners often immediately forget about them as soon as their work is done. And nearly all midsize crossovers are thoroughly ignored by enthusiasts whose eyes begin to glaze over at first mention of the phrase "third row."
Toyota is looking to soften the blow somewhat by giving its midsize crossover, the Highlander, a big redesign for the 2014 model year. With a bold new look, updated suspension and a refreshed interior focused on comfort and convenience, Toyota aims to make the Highlander sportier to drive and more striking in appearance, because, as the marketing team explains, "families are going places and they want to get there in style."
2014 Toyota Tundra Platinum 4x4
Wed, 26 Feb 2014The Toyota Tundra is the automotive version of off-brand Cheerios: it doesn't dominate the market, and it's not the first model people think of when they hear the term "pickup truck."
Ford, General Motors and Ram dominate the segment with vehicles that offer ridiculous levels of towing and payload capacities and models loaded with luxury items and primed with tech-rich engines. The off-brands, meanwhile, are led by the Tundra, which while still accounting for six-figure sales (112,732 units in 2013, up from 101,621 in 2012), sits well behind the F-150s and Silverados of the world. After our first drive of the revamped 2014 Tundra, we came away thinking this truck is a total underachiever, aimed at placating Toyota loyalists and doing little to win over new customers.
But everybody deserves a second chance, and we thought a week's drive in a different environment might lead to a different - or at least a more fully realized - opinion. While the Tundra might not be an industry leader, it still makes it on many truck buyers' shopping lists. So, should you consider this off-brand pickup truck? To find out, we borrowed a top-of-the-line Tundra Platinum for a week. Read on to see what we found.
