It is time to sell my baby,i am selling my 1977 toyota celica gt lift back. I have spent the last 5 years building this car and it is Awesome. almost ever part on this car has been modified to turn it in to a race ready streetable car. It has had an engine swap done to it with a strong running motor in it with a bunch of mods done to it , all of the panels on this car are metal no fiberglass or large amounts of body filler were used the only ting body filler was used for was skim coating to smooth out the car. the interior has aluminum door and interior panels that were custom made for the car as well as a custom built 7 point roll cage to stiffen the chassis. This car has been painted army green and has an awesome large star graphic on the back of it. It has custom powder coated western turbine wheels that are the same era as the car as well as a full custom built adjustable suspension. the rear end on this car is in great shape as well as the transmission. It has adjustable bucket seats and 4 point harnesses in it as well. Here is a full list of upgrades and modifications that have been done to the car. I am not exactly sure of the milage on the car due to its odometer rolling over but as i stated the engine was swapped for one tht had around 75,000 miles on it and that was about 4000 miles ago, and all of the breaks and wheel bearing have been replaced.

Toyota builds world's first 'outdoor website' for RAV4 promo
Thu, 08 Aug 2013This whole thing started with the premise that Toyota's target RAV4 buyers are people who spend their time cycling, hiking, and generally not in front of computer screens. These people are therefore not able to benefit from the full website experience that Toyota has built for the RAV4. We should clarify that the video below is for Toyota South Africa, and maybe RAV4 buyers there really are the disgustingly outdoorsy ideal that us bacon-eaters are not living up to.
Toyota's agency partner, Hello Computer, set up a 1.8-kilometer track at a cycle park that replicated sections of the automaker's website with real physical displays and interactive feedback. Riders were asked to leave their mouses and hit the trail on a mountain bike to experience the RAV4 Outdoor Website and learn about the vehicle.
That seems like a lot of effort for something that's available on the smartphones of these hyper-active people who aren't in front of computers, but hooray for creatively conquering a problem that didn't exist. Hey, let's not be complete wet blankets - maybe some of the cyclists that ran the Toyota gauntlet got a RAV4 for their to- and fro-ing after the experience. Check out the video of the outdoor website below.
Toyota reaffirms commitment to body-on-frame SUVs
Mon, 29 Jul 2013Toyota sold 121,055 Highlander CUVs in 2012, according to Automotive News. By comparison, it sold 78,457 examples of four different body-on-frame, truck-based SUVs (4Runner, FJ Cruiser, Sequoia and Land Cruiser). One could argue then, that the traditional SUVs aren't pulling their weight from a sales perspective. Yet that isn't stopping Toyota from reaffirming its commitment to a segment that has seen its former champions - Ford, General Motors and Chrysler - abandon it with alarming speed. Ford and GM still offer body-on frame utilities, but only in the very largest offerings, catering to seven or even eight passengers. Everything outside of the Expedition or Tahoe rides now on a unibody.
Toyota's decision to stick with the technology is good news if you're in the market for smaller SUVs that are still capable of heading well off the beaten path. Outside of the Jeep Wrangler, Grand Cherokee (a unibody) and perhaps Nissan Xterra, there's not much in terms of capable SUVs between $20,000 and $50,000. As the Toyota brand's US head, Bill Fay, says, "Clearly, the trend has shifted, but there is still an owner base that is interested in these vehicles."
We don't doubt Fay on that, but it may also be somewhat telling that Toyota's SUV lineup is aging, and we haven't seen or heard much about replacement models in the pipeline. Admittedly, the 4Runner (pictured) has been facelifted for 2014, but it's mostly cosmetic in nature. Despite Toyota's posturing, we still expect its body-on-frame lineup to thin in the coming years as sales dwindle and escalating fuel-economy standards make business cases even tougher. Here's hoping that Toyota manages to keep at least one rough-and-tumble SUV in its lineup in the coming years.
