Hi, This is a GREAT project car!!! It Runs and Drives....Like a 1973 Celica. It appears to have little to no rust or frame damage and steers pretty well.
This car is being sold as a project. I had big plans to restore it and make it REALLY cool but, I HAVE TOO MANY PROJECTS!!! I would LOVE to keep it but I just can't do it now OR give it the attention it needs.
- OK SO: The seats need reupholstered front and rear. The steering wheel and dash has cracks. The carpet looks like maybe someone re laid it and doesnt look to worn to me. Most of the inside roof looks to be not too too bad. I have no idea which gauges work or not. Battery charges fine.key works in ignition and trunk.
- Red light on dash on, no idea what that is. brake master cylinder needs replaced maybe brakes maybe more. Engine has lifter tick. I do not hear any rod knock, that does not mean that the engine has none. I have driven it all over the place and it has not overheated or made any noises that concerned me.
- Driver side window is in the trunk. it will need window register replaced.
- ALL GLASS APPEARS GOOD!!! I SEE NO CRACKS. This does not mean there are none, it means that I do not see any if there are.
- MAY BE MANY OTHER ISSUES THAT I DON'T SEE. The engine runs and the car drives.
- WINNING BIDDER/BUYER PAYS FOR SHIPPING AND OR PICKS UP VEHICAL OR SETS UP SHIPPING METHOD.
- I will try to answer any questions to the best of my ability. I AM NOT A MECHANIC.
- The person that bids and wins this should know that it is AS IS.
- PAY IN FULL WITH IN 24 HOURS OF AUCTION END.
If this car does not sell I will not cry. I am totally not interested in dealing with tire kickers OR cold feet or buyers remorse.
I'm starting bidding at $749.00 if you win it for that or a million dollars then that's the price.
I WILL NOT DO OUTSIDE SALES OR TRADES.
I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION AT ANY TIME.
I ABSOLUTELY WILL REPORT NON PAYING BIDDERS THAT WIN AND DONT PAY WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AUCTION.
BUY BIDDING YOU ARE ENTERING INTO A BINDING CONTRACT.
This may sound harsh and I do not mean it to, it's just that this is not my first rodeo and have been burned too many times by non paying auction winners.
I KNOW FOR ME THIS WOULD BE AN AWESOME PROJECT IF I HAD MORE TIME. MY HOPE IS THAT WHOMEVER ENDS UP WITH THIS CAR WILL LOVE AND ENJOY TURNING IT INTO THE DREAM CAR IT CAN BE.
HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!!!!

Car and Driver shows off awesome 1960s ads
Fri, Sep 11 2015Someone must have recently rediscovered the keys to the archives at Car and Driver, and the access has been put to good use. Following last month's fantastic look at automotive ads from the '50s, there's now a new gallery running from March 1960 through December 1969. This collection provides a great overview of a decade full of iconic cars. If you're a fan of Carroll Shelby, particularly his Mustangs, then there's a lot to love among this group. One ad from July 1965 aimed to sell the GT350, but with an ocean of text and a tiny picture, it probably could've used a once-over by Don Draper's team. By December '65, the copywriters ironed out the problems with a spot proclaiming boldly "Shelby GT350 is 'Son of Cobra.'" The company offered some great accessories, too. For those into European motoring, there's a humorous attempt to sell the Alfa Romeo Giulia as both a racecar and family hauler. Toyota also boasts about the winning record for the 2000GT. Among the best text comes from BMW for lines like: "What's BMW got? The most advanced high-performance engine in any production car, for a cruising speed of 100 mph." Of course, Volkswagen's famous "Lemon" ad for the Beetle also gets its due here. Separately, each of these ads is fascinating, but taken together they tell the story of a great decade of motoring. Go give them all a read at Car and Driver. Automakers donating money, vehicles and supplies to Oklahoma tornado relief effort
Fri, 24 May 2013Judging by the destruction the Oklahoma City area experienced earlier this week, residents are going to need a lot of help in coming months. Fortunately, a number of automakers - including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota - have stepped up to donate money, supplies and vehicles to aid in the recovery and rebuilding processes.
Here's a quick rundown of which automakers have pitched in and what each contributed so far:
Ford Motor Company has donating $250,000 and a Transit Connect to the American Red Cross, and it will match all other donations made to the Red Cross (up to $250,000) using a special URL tied to the latter's website (link here). Additionally, its local Oklahoma dealers have thrown in an extra $150,000 for the United Way and the automaker will be offering an extra $500 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.
Recharge Wrap-up: Toyota Prius airbag recall, Peugeot launches eU01s e-bike
Fri, Sep 16 2016Toyota is recalling 7,600 Prius vehicles for an airbag issue. Certain examples of the 2016 Prius could have malfunctioning inflators that could cause the passenger side airbags to deploy accidentally. There are no known injuries from the faulty airbags, but Toyota says, "This has been observed when the vehicle is parked and unoccupied for a period of time." Toyota also says this issue is unrelated to the massive recall of airbags supplied by Takata. The automaker will contact affected owners to arrange free repairs. Read more at Automotive News. Peugeot is adding another e-bike to its portfolio with the eU01s. What sets this electrically assisted bicycle apart from both regular bikes and other pedelecs is its ability to propel the bike to 28 mph under electric power. It comes with either a 400- or 500-Wh lithium-ion battery, providing 47 or 59 miles of range, respectively. It also offers an optional on-board computer with its 4.3-inch screen, through which riders can customize the electric assistance, get directions, receive sports coaching, and connect their smartphone. Earlier this year, Peugeot also launched its e-Kick scooter and folding eF01 e-bike. Read more at Green Car Congress. BYD is expanding its manufacturing facility in the US. In the second of three phases for the plant, BYD is adding onto its factory in Lancaster, California, where it currently builds electric buses. The Chinese company plans to triple the number of employees, up from the current 400, as it expands the facility by 40,000 square feet. BYD plans to build medium- and heavy-duty trucks at the plant, but declined to comment on whether it has plans to build light-duty vehicles there. Read more at Automotive News. The German states of Hesse and Baden-Wuerttemberg are suing Volkswagen over the Dieselgate scandal. The states are joining other investors seeking damages over losses incurred because of the automaker's emissions cheat device. Hesse Finance Minister Thomas Schaefer said the scandal cost the state about $4.4 million in stock losses, while Baden-Wuerttemberg likely lost closer to $450,000. Bavaria said earlier that it would sue Volkswagen on behalf of its pension fund for civil servants, which lost around $780,000. Read more from Automotive News Europe.
