IT WAS A ONE OWNER, WELL MAINTAINED, AND I HAVE A COPY OF THE CARFAX REPORT SHOWING A CLEAN HISTORY.  THE DEALER IN LOUISVILLE DID A 160 POINT INSPECTION.

I PUT NEW TIRES ON IT AND A HAD A 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT, WHEN I MOVED TO EVANSVILLE.  THAT COST ME $725, BUT, IT WAS WORTH IT -- THE CAR HANDLES GREAT!

THE XLE IS THE BEST MODEL ---> IT'S LOADED!!!

I HAVE THE ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER SHOWING THAT IT COST OVER $26K NEW.
I ALSO HAVE ALL THE MANUALS AND STUFF I GOT WHEN I BOUGHT IT.

LIKE I SAID IT RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE NEW.  THE GAS MILEAGE IS 21 CITY AND 31 HWY (DEPENDING ON HOW YOU DRIVE).

SURPRISINGLY VERY POWERFUL 4 CYL, ENGINE.  IT HAS GREAT TAKE-OFF POWER FOR MERGING IN TRAFFIC.

INTERIOR IS ALMOST EXCELLENT (THE ONLY THING IT NEEDS - IS TO HAVE THE CARPETS AND MATS SHAMPOOED ).

IT HAS STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS FOR:  DUAL CLIMATE CONTROL, AUDIO, AND FOR BLUETOOTH TELEPHONE.  THE STEREO HAS A VOICE COMMAND TELEPHONE SYSTEM.  BTW, THE SOUND SYSTEM IS AWESOME!  ALL THE CONTROLS ARE EASY TO USE.

THERE  IS A AIR VENT GOING TO THE BACK SEAT AREA.  THE BACK SEAT ARMREST HAS 2 CUP HOLDERS AND THERE IS A PASS THRU DOOR TO THE TRUNK.  THE TRUNK IS LARGE AND HAS A CARGO NET.

AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICS, THE CAR IS A BEAUTIFUL RED METALLIC COLOR, {LOOKS BETTER IN PERSON}.  THE INTERIOR IS A LIGHT CREAM COLOR.  THE SEATS ARE LEATHER, AND HAVE NO WEAR MARKS.  IT HAS A POWER SUNROOF.  IT'S AN AUTOMATIC,WITH FRONT WHEEL DRIVE.  THE CAR RIDES REAL NICE, VERY LUXURIOUS FEEL WITH EXCELLENT HANDLING , {DUE TO THE TIRES}.

US Congress lets $8,000 hydrogen vehicle tax credit expire

Mon, Dec 22 2014

When Toyota introduced the 2016 Mirai last month in preparation for a launch late next year, it said that the hydrogen car will have a $57,500 MSRP and that there will be a federal tax credit available worth up to $8,000. The problem, as we noted at the time, is that that federal credit was set to expire at the end of 2014. The technical language of the current rule says that someone who buys a fuel cell vehicle, "may claim a credit for the certified amount for a fuel cell vehicle if it is placed in service by the taxpayer after Dec. 31, 2005, and is purchased on or before Dec. 31, 2014." With the 113th Congress now finished up for the year and legislators headed home for the holidays, we know one thing for certain: the federal tax credit for hydrogen vehicles was not updated and will end as we're all singing Auld Lang Syne next week. All of this isn't to say that Mirai buyers won't be able to take $8,000 off the price of the car 12 months from now. For proof of that, we only need to look at other alternative fuel tax incentives and realize that this Congress simply isn't moving fast enough to deal with things that are expiring right now. One of the last things that the 113th Congress did in December was to take up the tax credits that expired at the end of 2013 and renew some of them. Jay Friedland, Plug In America's senior policy advisor, told AutoblogGreen that PIA and other likeminded organizations worked with Congress to extended the electronic vehicle charging station (technically: EVSE) tax credit that was part of the Alternative Refueling Tax Credit in IRS Section 30(C) through the end of 2014. "Individuals can deduct 30 percent of the cost of purchasing and installing an EVSE up to $1,000; businesses, 30 percent up to $30,000," he said. "This tax credit is applied to any system placed into service by 12/31/14 and is retroactive to the beginning of the year. So go out and buy your favorite EV driver an EVSE for the holidays," he said. An electric motorcycle credit was killed at the last minute as Congress was getting ready to leave, but H.R. 5771 did extend the Alternative Fuels Excise Tax Credits for liquefied hydrogen and other alternative fuels. These sorts of tax credit battles happen all year long. In July, Blumenthal introduced the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Infrastructure Act of 2014, which never got out of the Finance Committee. 2013 Toyota RAV4 earns 'poor' rating in IIHS small overlap crash test [w/video]

Thu, 11 Jul 2013

When the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tested a batch of SUVs in its small overlap frontal crash test earlier this year, it held off on putting the Toyota RAV4 in the blender because the new, 2013 model was due to arrive shortly after the test. The new crossover might be better than it was before, but it could still only manage a rating of "Poor" in the test that has been a bugbear for a number of manufacturers.
Among other issues, the IIHS noted that the steering column moved seven inches to the right causing the crash test dummy to practically miss the airbag, the dummy's left foot was trapped in deformed sheetmetal and the dummy's head hit the instrument panel.
The 2013 RAV4 earned the Top Safety Pick rating by scoring well in the Institute's four other tests. A good score in this particular test would have earned it the Top Safety Pick+ rating that is so far only claimed by the 2014 Subaru Forester and 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in the SUV category. There's a press release below with more details and a video of the test.

Toyota reaffirms commitment to body-on-frame SUVs

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

Toyota sold 121,055 Highlander CUVs in 2012, according to Automotive News. By comparison, it sold 78,457 examples of four different body-on-frame, truck-based SUVs (4Runner, FJ Cruiser, Sequoia and Land Cruiser). One could argue then, that the traditional SUVs aren't pulling their weight from a sales perspective. Yet that isn't stopping Toyota from reaffirming its commitment to a segment that has seen its former champions - Ford, General Motors and Chrysler - abandon it with alarming speed. Ford and GM still offer body-on frame utilities, but only in the very largest offerings, catering to seven or even eight passengers. Everything outside of the Expedition or Tahoe rides now on a unibody.
Toyota's decision to stick with the technology is good news if you're in the market for smaller SUVs that are still capable of heading well off the beaten path. Outside of the Jeep Wrangler, Grand Cherokee (a unibody) and perhaps Nissan Xterra, there's not much in terms of capable SUVs between $20,000 and $50,000. As the Toyota brand's US head, Bill Fay, says, "Clearly, the trend has shifted, but there is still an owner base that is interested in these vehicles."
We don't doubt Fay on that, but it may also be somewhat telling that Toyota's SUV lineup is aging, and we haven't seen or heard much about replacement models in the pipeline. Admittedly, the 4Runner (pictured) has been facelifted for 2014, but it's mostly cosmetic in nature. Despite Toyota's posturing, we still expect its body-on-frame lineup to thin in the coming years as sales dwindle and escalating fuel-economy standards make business cases even tougher. Here's hoping that Toyota manages to keep at least one rough-and-tumble SUV in its lineup in the coming years.
