Best car I've ever owned, 1995 Camry LE wagon 4cyl, all power, I have owned this car for over 10 years I bought as a 1 owner car when it had 71,000 miles it now has 172,600 pampered miles, I have serviced and changed oil every 3,000 to 3500 miles, I fix everything that has gone wrong with it. Non smoker, interior on scale of 1 to 10 is a 8, seats show no ware, carpet is in great condition car even has the rear cargo pull out cover. I really had no intention of selling and I just put new tires from Sam's Club less than 2000 miles ago and filled up the tank last week. I would nor hesitate to drive this car cross country it's that good of a car. It has given me no problems. I have changed the timing belt twice, I recently developed a minor valve cover leak and fixed that. I have had the transmission oil serviced. This is a better transportation car than cars half it's age. If you are looking for a great transportation car this is it Do Not be worried about the miles they average a little over 9000 miles a year, when I drive this car I don't baby it I travel 70mph and it drives as well as my newer cars. The car has never been in a accident or had the airbags deployed, Here is a list of things that I have done, last week when I decided to sell, I had the left front fender and the hood painted, the paint on the fender was chipping off from  faulty paint job 4 years ago and someone at Home Depot recently backed their truck up and scratched the hood, this was all taken care of, all 4 tires were just replaced, serviced car. All power equipment works well, cruise control, power windows, radio, power antenna, power door locks 3 work but drivers doesn't has to be set manually and AC will freeze you out. Car drives solid and quite. I believe in 100% disclosure when I sell anything so here is a list of anything that is wrong with the car, the hood struts don't hold the hood open, I use a pvc pipe to hold it up, power door locks work on 3 doors the driver side either needs the key or manually lock it one piece of inside trim at the back comes loose at times a simple snapping in place is all it takes.

Look at the pictures and you'll be impressed if you come and see and drive it you'll buy it. The car is located in Tampa Bay, I will take it to the Orlando area to be seen but you will have to make arraignments to pick it up, I will allow your delivery company to come and pick up only when I have your cash in hand, I will accept a wire transfer, paypal or cashiers check. Cashiers check can take up to 1 week to clear. If you plan on picking the car up bring cash only.  I will require a $500 deposit at end of auction with balance to be in my hand within 1 week, I retain the right to take it off ebay early being that I am selling it locally at $2800. And I also retain the right not to sell it too you if your ratings are either bad or non existent.

Honda, Subaru airlifting parts to bypass port labor diputes

Fri, Feb 6 2015

It should be abundantly obvious that a vital element in building cars is actually having the components on hand to assemble them. A labor dispute on the West Coast between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and management is not making that quite so easy for some Japanese automakers. Work slowdowns at the ports have pushed Honda and Subaru parent Fuji Heavy Industries into flying some parts into the country. The two automakers began shipping by airplane late last month to avoid production delays, according to Bloomberg, but it has been an expensive solution. Subaru's chief financial officer said the decision cost around $60 million more per month than sending components by cargo ship. They aren't the only companies dealing with the problem, either. Toyota reportedly stopped overtime assembly at some of its factories here because of the delays in getting parts, according to Bloomberg. The dockworkers have been negotiating on a new contract since May 2014, and the current offer on the table to them has offered a 3 percent raise, according to Bloomberg. Although, the union is reportedly considering another slowdown at 29 ports along the West Coast in the coming days. Recharge Wrap-up: Mazda, Subaru and Toyota PHEV, Nomadic Power grant

Sat, Jun 20 2015

The next generation of the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid looks to be important for Mazda and Subaru as well. Toyota will likely need to sell more of the new plug-in hybrid to meet stricter ZEV standards in California. That means it will get more extra electric range, as customers have been asking for. Subaru and Mazda will also have to adhere to the California standards beginning in 2018. Those two smaller automakers will likely license a plug-in hybrid powertrain from Toyota in order to fulfill compliance. Read more at Green Car Reports. Tesla is partnering with Dalhousie University to improve battery technology. Tesla signed a five-year research agreement with Dalhousie's Jeff Dahn, a lithium-ion battery researcher. Dahn and the 25 researchers in his lab will work with Tesla's Director of Battery Technology, Kurt Kelty, to increase capacity through improved materials. The collaboration could be important both for Tesla's automotive and stationary batteries. "Our research group's goal is to increase the energy density and lifetime of Li-ion batteries, so we can drive down costs in automotive and grid energy storage applications," says Dahn. Read more from Dalhousie University. Nomadic Power is receiving a European Commission grant worth ˆ2 million (about $2.26 million) for trailer-mounted mobile batteries. Nomadic Power's mobile batteries, called Nomads, have incorporated photovoltaic systems and can be used to extend the electric driving range of a plug-in vehicle, or to provide backup power to a home. The Nomads use an intelligent energy management system to learn and predict user behavior and manage the solar system based on weather forecasts. "We see a strong future in electric-powered mobility and an increasing use of renewable energy, photovoltaic power in particular," says Nomadic Power CEO Dr. Manfred Baumgaertner. "Our mobile batteries have great potential in these markets that recently got a significant shot in the arm by Tesla's announcements." Read more from Nomadic Power, and at Green Car Congress. Toyota settles complaints with states Attorneys General for $29 million

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

Toyota announced today that it has reached a settlement with the Attorneys General of 29 states and one US territory that will resolve their complaints relating to recalls performed by the automaker from 2005-2010, including those related to sticky accelerators and malfunctioning floor mats that may have contributed to cases of unintended acceleration.
The settlement includes a payout of $29 million to be divided among the states and US territory, as well as a commitment from Toyota "to take steps to make vehicle information more easily accessible to consumers to help them operate their vehicles safely and make more informed choices." The settlement also has Toyota continuing its rapid-response service teams and quality field offices that were put in place shortly after the largest of the recalls from 2010, as well as a "range of customer care amenities for owners of vehicles subject to certain recalls," though the press release below isn't specific about what those amenities might be.
This settlement marks the second major step in the last few months that Toyota has taken to settle legal disputes surrounding the unintended acceleration recalls, the first being a $1.4 billion settlement to address economic loss suffered by owners of current and past Toyota vehicles that may have lost value on account of these recalls.
