Selling a 2006 Toyota Avalon Limited in Blizzard pearl/ivory leather. Just shy of 59,000 miles. Clean title. I am the second owner. I purchased it in late 2006 as a certified pre-owned vehicle from a Toyota dealership. All books and original window sticker are included. Garage kept its entire life, no dents, dings or scratches. No accidents, no paint work. No stories. Fully optioned with dynamic radar cruise control, rear window power sunshade, glass breakage sensor, heated/cooled perforated front seats, Navigation, vehicle stability control with traction control and brake assist, carpet floor mats and trunk mat, 50 state emissions compliant, LED turn signal indicators, smart key system, etc.. Dealer installed options include color keyed side door molding and mudguards as well as wheel well moldings and door edge moldings. The front and rear bumpers and the hood have 3M paint protection film applied not too long after I purchased the car. Bumpers are in mint condition! Driver seat has virtually no wear at all. It was covered with a seat cover since purchase. Passengers seat and rear seats are just as perfect. Carpet and headliner are immaculate. The carpet was covered with plastic so there is absolutely no wear at all!Everything functions like new. Knobs and switches have no wear at all. Many of the switches like the radio controls and drivers master window switches have removable plastic film that protected them from wear. Mazda CX-5 named Japan's Car of The Year, Subaru BR-Z wins "Special Award"
Mon, 03 Dec 2012The Mazda CX-5 stamped its Kodo design and SkyActiv technology authority all over the Japan Car of the Year awards, taking the top prize ahead of the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT 86. It is Mazda's second victory in the last ten years, the 2005 MX-5 claiming the same trophy, and the fourth time the Hiroshima company has won.
The award is decided by 60 local "automotive experts and journalists," and open to any passenger car released in Japan from November 1, 2011 to October 31, 2012 that has sold more than 500 units. Each judge gets 25 votes, his or her top vote getting 10 points, the rest of the points being spread among the judge's choice for the next best four cars.
The second-place getters were the Toyobaru twins with 318 votes, the surprise being they didn't beat or get any closer to the crossover. The Subaru BRZ did claw some mojo back, earning the Special Award given to cars that have made "an exceptional impact." The BMW 3 Series was third overall and won the Import Car of the Year award with plenty of room between it and the second place Range Rover Evoque.
Toyota launches updated Yaris in Europe, Vitz in Japan [w/videos]
Wed, 23 Apr 2014Toyota first launched the Yaris in 1999, though that model was sold in the North America as the Echo. The second generation arrived in 2005, replaced by the third in 2011. Sometime next year, Toyota is expected to roll out a new Yaris for North America, to be built in Mexico on the same platform as the next Mazda2. But before that comes to pass, Toyota has introduced a mild facelift for the Yaris in markets other than ours.
With styling cues borrowed from the new Aygo and the Yaris Hybrid-R concept, the new Yaris (for Europe) and Vitz (for Japan) are distinguished by updated styling front and rear. Though the European model bears a more aggressive look than the JDM version, both feature the new X motif that seems to be the new look for the whole family - particularly for small hatchbacks.
The back end has also been revised to incorporate new LED taillights and a (faux) diffuser in the bumper. The cabin, meanwhile, has been redesigned to feel roomier and quieter with upgraded equipment. The suspension has also been refined, and in Europe at least, Toyota will continue to offer the Yaris with a choice of 1.0- or 1.3-liter gasoline engines, 1.4-liter diesel or hybrid powertrains.
