I'M IN NY WILLING TO DRIVE IF DEAL IS GOOD!
CARFAX AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST $21,500 OBO. Mileage 58,000 Body Style Sport Utility Exterior Color Black Interior Color Gray Engine 6 Cylinder Transmission 5 Speed Automatic Drive Type 4 wheel drive - rear Fuel Type Gasoline Doors Four Door Options Installed CD Player Cruise Control Heated Seats Leather Seats Power Mirrors Rear Window Defroster Side Curtain Airbags Sunroof Tilt/Telescope Steering Wheel New tires! I HOPE TO HAVE AN EASY, TRANSPARENT, HONEST TRANSACTION............................. .................... this car was purchased for corporate use. We have all intentions of keeping it as 4runners are my favorite ever, but two factors have come in to play: 1. Gas mileage. My family car WAS a small car now we have a big Sequoia and gas is $4/gallon so having two cars below 40mpgs is not desirable. 2. Corporate expansion. We are attempting to expand our business and we want to lower our debt quickly................................. ............... Based on the two factors above, we decided it's best to just sell the 4runner and get a higher MPG, lower cost car (like a corolla or honda civic, etc).................................... ......... This is a high demand model car! These rarely stay on the lot of dealers for long and are normally in much worse condition for higher prices................................ The truck is in excellent condition. I have used it to drive to and from work for the past 12 months. It was purchased used from a dealer last winter as a corporate purchase. The interior is near perfect: there is dirt on the rugs (of course) and there is one scratch in the trunk on one of the side containers over the passenger tire and a scratch on the center console/passenger size (pictures available)........................ Exterior is black so there are small scratches in various places. The only two things that I say are noticeable are two dings that were there when I purchased it: one scratch that has been repaired above the grill and one small dent on the passenger rear side............................. It rides nice perfect like the Toyota's all do. I've gotten the oil changed every 5k, and have had no reason to service it...................... It is in the same condition I bought it in a few months ago. Non-smoker, No Accidents, All Scheduled Maintenance |

Toyota i-Road is no less strange in the flesh
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We've seen plenty of three-wheeled creations in our day, but none quite like the Toyota i-Road Concept. The "personal mobility vehicle" offers seating for two with driver and passenger positioned in a tandem position. While that may sound more like a motorcycle than a car, the closed cockpit means riders don't need a helmet. The design also takes a page from the 2008 Peugeot HyMotion3 Concept with an articulating front suspension that allows the driver to lean through corners thanks to "Active Lean" self-balancing technology. Unlike the funky Pug, however, the i-Road is a fully electric plug-in vehicle.
While there are just five-horsepower on hand from an electric motor, the i-Road should serve up a range of around 30 miles thanks to its lithium-ion battery, and Toyota claims the cells can be topped off in three hours with a "conventional domestic power supply." Sounds majestic. Take in the full press release below.
Toyota GT86 engineers explored shooting brake and sedan variants, are they still in the cards?
Wed, 13 Mar 2013According to the Toyota UK blog, engineers for the automaker were so excited developing the GT86 coupe that they investigated producing a whole family of models based on the rear-wheel drive sports car. And at least one engineer - product chief Tetsuya Tada - still hopes it can happen, even if not everyone at Toyota is onboard. Tada: "Actually we tried to do this secretly but the executives found us out. They said: 'What are you doing? Will you please focus on the coupe.'"
Those mooted variants included both a four-door sedan and a shooting brake. Why? Aside from the pure excellence of a lightweight, brilliantly handling hatchback, Toyota was keenly aware of the fact that it may need to spread the cost of development out across several models. Tada says that's part of the reason why it was so easy to create the convertible. The company knew from the outset that a softtop version was in the cards, and built the machine's structure to accommodate having the roof sliced off.
Tada also made mention of the already-announced collaboration between Toyota and BMW. The engineer said that the GT86 was particularly helpful because it demonstrated just how successful a product conceived and designed by two different companies can be. While he didn't say exactly what Toyota and BMW are up to, it's clear the two are looking into a number of possibilities. It's an interesting read with a lot of
Car thief caught in McDonald's drive-thru after placing order with owner
Mon, 20 May 2013If you're going to drive a stolen car in a town of roughly 77,000 people - about the same size as Scranton, Pennsylvania or Ogden, Utah - you want to be very careful about where you drive that stolen car to eat. That's the lesson Katherine York of Kennewick, Washington learned when she was arrested for being in possession of a stolen Toyota 4Runner that also happened to have a bunch of stolen clothes from JC Penney and Sears in it.
Virginia Maiden woke up Tuesday, May 14 to find her 1995 4Runner - that she thought she forgot to lock - swiped from her apartment building. At 3 PM that afternoon, while working her shift at the drive-thru at McDonald's that day, she saw her truck in line. York hadn't even gone far - the McDonald's is not even five miles from Maiden's apartment. Maiden called the police, they showed up just as York was leaving, and York made another vehicle switch, this time into a black-and-white for a trip to the Benton County jail. They don't have McDonald's there, but she won't have so far to go to eat.
