2001 Toyota 4runner Sr5 4 X 4 Sport Utility 4-door 3.4l V6 on 2040-cars
Telford, Pennsylvania, United States
For sale is this super clean and well maintained 2001 Toyota 4Runner. You will not find a cleaner 4Runner anywhere on ebay. I am the second owner of this vehicle purchased from a dealership when original owner traded it in on a new vehicle. This thing is a beast in snow and bad weather; the 4 wheel drive system is legendary. We've recently moved to a new home so it's time to downsize to a smaller vehicle. I can provide service records on this vehicle over the course of the last 2 years. I had the water pump and serpentine belt changed 30,000 miles ago as part of routine maintenance at a Toyota Dealership. The only issue with the vehicle is a non functioning automatic door lock on drivers side; the key works fine and manually the door operates without issue. I purchased a new door lock actuator but never got around to installing it. I am enclosing with this sale if you'd like to install it yourself. EASY Install! Truck includes lots of extras: -Spare included mounted under truck. Please call me directly with any questions... My cell # is (215) 499- 9990 |

Why Toyota Camry's Korea Car of the Year win is a big-time upset
Tue, 26 Feb 2013The 2013 Toyota Camry is officially the car of the year in Korea. The country's motoring press graced the Japanese sedan with the honor for the first time, officially marking a shift in prevailing Korean attitudes toward Japan and its products. According to industry analysts, buyers in the country are no longer simply choosing their purchases based on whether or not they're made in South Korea, but rather based on quality and personal choice. That's a big jump from a few years ago, when buyers viewed their purchases through a patriotic lens.
The Camry managed to edge out a total of 44 other cars, including hardware from both Hyundai and Kia, to become the first foreign vehicle to take home the Korea Automobile Journalist Association's Car of the Year award. As The Detroit News points out, just 10 years ago, domestic manufacturers held some 99 percent of the Korean car market. But a change in trade regulations has opened up the country considerably, and buyers now have access to a wide range of products from around the globe. As a result, Hyundai and Kia have countered by cutting prices in an attempt to keep their grip on the market.
177k Toyota Camry Hybrids being recalled for brake issue
Mon, 11 Aug 2014It looks like Consumer Reports might be getting part of what it wants regarding the Toyota Camry Hybrid and its braking system. Toyota is issuing what it calls a limited service campaign, rather than a full recall, covering about 177,500 of the hybrid sedans from the 2007 through 2011 model years because of an issue with the cars' brake fluid reservoirs.
The models have a filter separating two chambers of the brake fluid reservoir, and the part can get clogged over time. If this happens, the fluid level in one of the chambers can get too low and eventually cause the power assist to fail. There are multiple warning lights on the dashboard that illuminate over time if the filter gets obstructed, though. The company is replacing the entire reservoir with an improved unit, and the fix takes about two hours to perform.
Consumer Reports recently began asking for a recall on these models for the potentially clogged filters. The magazine also reported a second issue with the ABS brake actuator that could lead to a difficult to depress brake, but Toyota has increased the warranty on the part to 10 years or 150,000 miles.
Toyota FT-86 Open Concept leaves us feeling flushed
Wed, 20 Nov 2013When last we checked in on our topless would-be hero, the Toyota FT-86 convertible had been reportedly placed on "indefinite hold." That was back in early October, not long after Toyota had trotted out the rear-wheel-drive canvasback to Scion dealers as a possible future product carrot if they decided not to turn in their franchises. And yet, we're here at the Tokyo Motor Show, where Toyota has taken the time to at least repaint the FT-86 Open Concept in "Flash Red," if not build a whole other car (the original Geneva showcar was white). It's enough to make our heads spin like a teenager on the verge of a breakup. Will they? Won't they?
At this point, we still don't know any more than you do - the last word we heard out of Toyota was not encouraging, although the story was that the program could still be fast-tracked if management had a change of heart. As the car has never been seen before in Japan, perhaps Toyota is merely extending its domestic audience a courtesy view before it lines this showcar in mothballs, or maybe they're still trying to make a decision on its fate and gauging public reaction on the homefront.
Interestingly, in a new story published today, Automotive News quotes Subaru brand boss Yasuyuki Yoshinaga downplaying the likelihood of a production model, saying flatly "We make the car, so if we don't make it, it can't happen." The executive went on to note, "Our engineering department told me that losing the entire roof requires a complete redesign of the structure. It would need a big change." Given that such a car would probably trade in rather small volumes, that sounds like a significant hurtle.
