1995 Toyota 4runner Sr5 V6 3.0l on 2040-cars
Seattle, Washington, United States
Im selling my 1995 4Runner with 168,6XX miles (not my daily driver)
-Automatic transmission -4X4 -3.0L V6 -Electronically Controlled Traction System (ECT) -Over-Drive option (automatic transmission) -power windows (rear window functions perfectly) -power locks -power mirrors -cruise control -air conditioning with rear air control -up-graded stock stereo. I bought this truck from a women who used as her daily driver around town. She drove it very lightly and took great care of it. I have gone through the whole thing top to bottom and its in really good condition as the pictures will show!! It runs and drives super smooth. No typical 4runner sag. Does not leak any fluids. Has tires with 90% tread. All features work perfect except few things listed below. Recent work done: -Heads rebuilt 12,000 miles ago- All gaskets replaced, valves adjusted, replaced water pump and pulleys -New radiator with full system flush and new coolant -Oil change with crankcase flush -Checked and topped off front and rear differentials -Checked and gaped spark plugs -Checked and filled auto transmission -Checked diagnostics in OBD1 system -Replaced rear bumper and tail lights -New emergency brake assembly Issues: -Replaced 1 tire-- is the same size but different brand due to large puncture in side wall of other tire (drives normal and has full size spare) -windsheild is cracked in a few spots -dent in rear passenger side quarter panel (pictured) Truck was in a fender-bender last July, damaging the rear bumper, tailgate and tail-lights. The frame and body are all straight except for rear passenger side quarter panel has a dent in it. I replaced the bumper, both rear tail lights and tail gate. Further, I pull out 2 small dents, painted and "bondo"ed the rear end making the damage all but invisible. I have pictures of all work. Please don't hesitate with questions. I will get back to you very quickly!! I look forward to showing you my rig. I am very proud of all the work done. You won't find a '95 in this condition for this price. Thanks for your interest!! Buy a Toyota GT86 and your wife will hate you
Wed, 14 Nov 2012Marketing can be a very strange business. Convincing a man or woman (or child, really) that they absolutely cannot live without the latest, greatest new bit of technology oftentimes takes a unique approach. In the "online film promoting the Toyota GT86" you'll see below, created by agency Happiness Brussels, men are reverse-psychologied into thinking a new sports coupe will make them more masculine by getting their loved ones to hate them. Or something like that. We think.
In any case, we suggest you watch the video below to see how much fun men can have with a GT86 - or Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ, presumably - at the expense of their significant others. Fair warning: There's a potential Not Safe For Work moment in the ad: beware of a brief male butt shot about 44 seconds in.
Marketing. Gotta love it. Unless you're married to a man. Or something like that. We think. Whatever, just watch.
2017 Toyota 86 brings new name and fresh face to New York
Wed, Mar 23 2016The Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ seem unable to get away from their negative reputation online. The Mazda MX-5 Miata has no problem gaining fans that want an affordable sports car. However, the Toyobaru twins, which also offer attainable performance, can't seem to find a similar footing. The 2017 Toyota 86 has a new name, a fresh face, and a little more power. Even with the latest upgrades, the 2.0-liter boxer four-cylinder's 205 horsepower and 156 pound-feet of torque doesn't make it a powerhouse by modern standards. However, a naturally aspirated engine with over 100 horsepower per liter is still rather impressive in this price range. Toyota doesn't have details yet, but the company claims that new ratios for the six-speed manual transmission also offer increase the coupe's performance. Updated shock tuning and spring rates should sharpen the handling a little, too. View 12 Photos The 2017 86's aesthetics are very similar to the outgoing FR-S, but Toyota uses this opportunity to keep things modern. The coupe now has LED headlights and taillights. The new central intake that stretches along the front also looks more aggressive. If you're still not happy with the 86 or BRZ, which also has a facelift on the way, the good news is that a replacement is coming eventually. Fuji Heavy Industries P\president Yasuyuki Yoshinaga has confirmed twice that Subaru and Toyota have a deal to create a second generation model. They haven't set an introduction date, though. Zombie cars: 9 discontinued vehicles that aren't dead yet
Thu, Jan 6 2022Car models come and go, but as revealed by monthly sales data, once a car is discontinued, it doesn't just disappear instantly. And in the case of some models, vanishing into obscurity can be a slow, tedious process. That's the case with the 12 cars we have here. All of them have been discontinued, but car companies keep racking up "new" sales with them. There are actually more discontinued cars that are still registering new sales than what we decided to include here. We kept this list to the oldest or otherwise most interesting vehicles still being sold as new, including a supercar. We'll run the list in alphabetical order, starting with *drumroll* ... BMW 6 Series: 55 total sales BMW quietly removed the 6 Series from the U.S. market during the 2019 model year. It had been available in three configurations, a hardtop coupe, a convertible and a sleek four-door coupe-like shape. BMW i8: 18 total sales We've always had a soft spot for the BMW i8, despite the fact that it never quite fit into a particular category. It was sporty, but nowhere near as fast as similarly-priced competitors. It looked very high-tech and boasted a unique carbon fiber chassis design and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but wasn't really designed for maximum efficiency or maximum performance. Still, the in-betweener was very cool to look at and drive, and 18 buyers took one home over the course of 2021. Chevy Impala: 750 total sales The Impala represented classic American tastes at a time when American tastes were shifting away from soft-riding sedans with big interior room and trunk space and into higher-riding crossovers. A total of 750 sales were inked last year. Chrysler 200: 15 total sales The Chrysler 200 was actually a pretty nice sedan, with good looks and decent driving dynamics let down by a lack of roominess, particularly in the back seat. Of course, as we said regarding the Chevy Impala, the number of Americans in the market for sedans is rapidly winding down, and other automakers are following Chrysler's footsteps in canceling their slow-selling four-doors. Even if Chrysler never really found its footing in the ultra-competitive midsize sedan segment, apparently dealerships have a few leftover 2017 200s floating around. And for some reason, 15 buyers decided to sign the dotted line to take one of these aging sedans home last year.
