You are bidding on one of the finest, cleanest 1st generation 4runners around. I am the third owner and have had this vehicle for 7 years. It was an Arizona car for the 1st and 2nd owner and now resides in Idaho. It has never seen snow or salt, hence the original paint and body condition. There is NO body rust on this vehicle. The previous owner has installed a 3" Rancho Suspension Lift kit with matching shocks which works well with the 31x10.5BFGoodrich t/a radials. The tires look new. The sound system in the vehicle absolutely rocks! Don't know the exact details. But it has a Alpine head unit CD player with a Pioneer 800 watt amplifier in cargo area and a large JBL three speaker subwoofer in the cargo area. It also has custom door mounted speakers.  It does have an I Pod hook up to the head unit. Head liner is in good shape. Seats are all in good shape with the drivers side showing wear from getting in and out. There are no tears or rips in seats. The door panels have the normal wear on top where your arm rests with window open. There are two small holes in the door release plastic. Dashboard is perfect as well as all instruments and displays. Carpet is Very clean.  The AC does NOT blow cold but I suspect all it needs is to be recharged. We do not need AC here so never bothered to check into it. It did work very well when I bought the car in Phoenix and drove it home 7 years ago. The battery was installed last month. The mileage is original I bought the vehicle with 126k and have only put 8k since.

It is fitted with a receiver hitch with a four way flat plug. I have pulled my 17ft drift boat with out any problem. I have put new Warn manual locking hubs on in the last thousand miles. I have replaced the timing belt, serpentine belt, water pump, and the idler pulley. If there was anything mechanically that needed attention, it was taken care of.

There are round Nerf bar running boards. They do have some road rash and surface rust from the gravel roads around here unfortunately. It also has a tubular grill guard with fog lights that are functional. Every thing on the vehicle works with exception of the AC.

I have tried to show all the imperfections in the pictures. The body is in great shape but does show some wear commensurate of a 25 year old vehicle with original paint.  Starting at the tail gate, there is a quarter sized area that has been touched up with paint that does not match and the tail lite lens is scratched next to the touch up. There is a Rhino coat application to the lip of the tailgate. The clear coat was pealing and I elected to use the Rhino coat instead of repainting the whole tail gate. It looks good with other black trim on the back of the vehicle. The rear window has some wear marks from sliding up and down. The decals down the sides of the truck are faded and almost not visible. there are a couple dings on each side but no major dents. There is a scratch on the rear passenger quarter panel that was touched up with paint that did not match well.  The hood has some road rash on the nose and the decals are also faded to being only slightly visible.  The roof is in good shape but does have three dimples on the radius from the windshield to the roof.  There is a small crease down passenger side of hood, can only see it in right light. Typical of the 4runners of this era the window seals around rear sliders don't stay seated in corner but do not leak. The antenna is power but the mast is damaged and does not go up or down. It gets reception fine so I have never fixed it. The steering wheel is sun faded from the early years in AZ. The rims are Toyota OEM SR5 mags. They do have some discoloration. The muffler does have a whole in it but not worth fixing IMO. I believe that sums up the body. I tried to be as specific as possible.

Reason for selling is I don't drive it much and I hate to see it sitting around and I have too many vehicles.

This would be a great 1st vehicle for a teenager or a great platform to restore to show room new for the avid 4runner guru. Would be a great daily driver also.  I would not hesitate to drive this vehicle anywhere.

I have been watching Ebay for years and not seen many that would compare. I will be happy to answer any questions about the vehicle. It is located in Victor, ID. Buyer is responsible for shipping and or pick up. If you choose to fly in, I would be willing to pick up at Jackson hole airport or Idaho Falls airport. PLEASE  make sure you have funds available before bidding.

US Congress lets $8,000 hydrogen vehicle tax credit expire

Mon, Dec 22 2014

When Toyota introduced the 2016 Mirai last month in preparation for a launch late next year, it said that the hydrogen car will have a $57,500 MSRP and that there will be a federal tax credit available worth up to $8,000. The problem, as we noted at the time, is that that federal credit was set to expire at the end of 2014. The technical language of the current rule says that someone who buys a fuel cell vehicle, "may claim a credit for the certified amount for a fuel cell vehicle if it is placed in service by the taxpayer after Dec. 31, 2005, and is purchased on or before Dec. 31, 2014." With the 113th Congress now finished up for the year and legislators headed home for the holidays, we know one thing for certain: the federal tax credit for hydrogen vehicles was not updated and will end as we're all singing Auld Lang Syne next week. All of this isn't to say that Mirai buyers won't be able to take $8,000 off the price of the car 12 months from now. For proof of that, we only need to look at other alternative fuel tax incentives and realize that this Congress simply isn't moving fast enough to deal with things that are expiring right now. One of the last things that the 113th Congress did in December was to take up the tax credits that expired at the end of 2013 and renew some of them. Jay Friedland, Plug In America's senior policy advisor, told AutoblogGreen that PIA and other likeminded organizations worked with Congress to extended the electronic vehicle charging station (technically: EVSE) tax credit that was part of the Alternative Refueling Tax Credit in IRS Section 30(C) through the end of 2014. "Individuals can deduct 30 percent of the cost of purchasing and installing an EVSE up to $1,000; businesses, 30 percent up to $30,000," he said. "This tax credit is applied to any system placed into service by 12/31/14 and is retroactive to the beginning of the year. So go out and buy your favorite EV driver an EVSE for the holidays," he said. An electric motorcycle credit was killed at the last minute as Congress was getting ready to leave, but H.R. 5771 did extend the Alternative Fuels Excise Tax Credits for liquefied hydrogen and other alternative fuels. These sorts of tax credit battles happen all year long. In July, Blumenthal introduced the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Infrastructure Act of 2014, which never got out of the Finance Committee. Back to the hydrogen vehicle situation.

Toyota gives dealers permission to drop Scion, shows them FR-S droptop, Juke rival first

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

We recently heard that Toyota could be looking to shrink its network of Scion dealerships, and now Automotive News is reporting that the automaker has officially given its dealers the green light to dump Scion without any penalties. Currently, Scion has about 1,000 dealers, yet our report from August 8 quotes an industry analyst as suggesting a healthier figure would be between 350 and 500 outlets. But before its current dealers make a decision on whether or not to get rid of the youth-oriented brand, Toyota also showed off a couple potential future products in the pipeline.
The FT-86 Open Concept shown above was revealed back in March at the Geneva Motor Show, and AN says that an FR-S convertible was driven on stage at a recent national Toyota dealer meeting in Atlanta. There has still been no definitive word one way or another as to whether the droptop model will be built, but it could be a good way to follow up to the popular FR-S coupe. Another possible future product is a subcompact crossover, which was shown in drawing form at the meeting, presumably aimed at small CUVs like the Nissan Juke and the upcoming Honda CUV based on the Fit, a model recently previewed by the automaker's Urban SUV concept.

Toyota hits 10 million Camry models sold in US

Tue, 02 Jul 2013

This year marks 30 years of sales for the Toyota Camry in the US, and in that time, it has amassed more than 10 million sales. In its first year on the market, the Camry sold 52,651 units, but it has gone on to become the best-selling car in the US for the last 11 years.
Toyota says that "virtually all" current Camry models sold in the US are made here, and three-quarters of all Camry contents are domestically sourced. Scroll down for the official press release from Toyota, and be sure to check out our gallery of images showing every model year and bodystyle of the Camry since it first went on sale in 1983.
