Thanks for looking at my auction, I am listing my 1987 turbo 4 runner. Paint is original, and it was never hit. I am the second owner, my father bought it brand new. There is 165000 on the body and approx 20000 on a factory rebuilt motor and turbo. Everything on the truck works, including the air conditiong and cruise control. The only thing that i know of that doesnt work is the rear defroster. There is some rust on the wheel wells, with the worst on the back comming up approx an inch and a half, front fenders are not that bad at all. The only issue its having right now is the trans wont downshift when going up a hill. Ive had this problem before and it was the solonoids and ended up costing 500 at a trans shop to fix. Take a look at the pics, you wont find a nicer all original factory turbo 4runner around. Only reason im getting rid of it as im a family guy now and need a 4 door, and seeing it was my daily driver it no longer serves a purpose. The truck is currently in New Hampshire where im working, but i could drive it to meet the northeast corner of Pennsylvania (Scranton area). WILL NOT DELIVER ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Toyota recalling 342k Tacomas due to faulty seatbelt pretensioners
Wed, 07 Aug 2013Toyota is voluntarily recalling 342,000 Tacoma Access Cab pickups, produced between 2004 and 2011. The wide-ranging recall is due to faults in the screws that attach the belt pre-tensioner to the belt retractor. There are concerns that the screws can loosen themselves over time, especially if the access door is opened and closed with too much force. It's important to note that the recall only covers the driver and front passenger seat, and is limited to just the Access Cab trucks. Other body styles aren't affected.
If the screws come loose, the pre-tensioner and retractor spring could separate from the belt entirely, which would be bad news in a crash. There's no mention of injuries or accidents due to the faulty pre-tensioners. Owners affected by the recall will be notified soon, and asked to come in for recall service.
Next-gen Toyota Prius spied inside and out
Fri, 24 May 2013Toyota has built itself into the industry's standard-bearer when it comes to hybrids, and it isn't going to let the poster child for gas-electric vehicles get stale on the market. These spy shots captured in California are our first good look at the next-generation Prius, which could come to market wearing a 2015 model year designation.
Even though it looks like Toyota may have blown its annual camouflage budget on this mule, we can clearly see that it will have the same iconic half-moon design that has been with the car since 2003. If so, this goes against reports from last year that suggested the car would be getting a different look inspired by the 2013 NS4 Concept. Although, this could also indicate that the Prius family will continue to grow - adding a new sedan - to the existing Prius C, Prius V and Prius Plug-In lineup.
These spy shots also give us an indication as to what the interior will look like, with a more stylish three-spoke steering wheel and an instrument panel design that sort of reminds us of a BMW. On the other hand, all the tape, cobbled together pieces and lack of space for a center stack display screen has us thinking this isn't what the final product will resemble.
